When There is Will, There is Always a Way
Sunday -- Beautiful sunny cold morning. Nowadays, weather is like a
sea-saw. yesterday was 25 and drizzling.Today just 6 C, will be 14 later
in the afternoon. I am sitting in the TV lounge News Channel is on.
Nothing good there to watch.
It is 9.30, I am in my room with my computer to browse my Facebook
messages. It is quiet here too. I mean, my daughters are busy. My youngest
daughter is at Windsor Park, to celebrate her daughter's birthday with
her family.
My other daughter, the middle one, is busy too. Her exams are in the first
week of June. She will be done with her Degree in Math after that. She lives
in Grimsby. It is a small tourist and sort of hospital town.
In small towns, people have time to socialize. For her with family and
social obligations, it was not easy. Anyway, it will be done, after years
of hard work. I admire her patience. When there is will, there
is always a way.
It is 11.15, I am at Frenchman's Bay. Lake looking great with sparking
silver water. It is cold, I am wearing my light jacket, underneath is my
maroon sweater. No gloves, just having light stole.
So many different kinds of birds are here. I can see so many in colors
of grey, brown and black. Looks, they are enjoying, busy in chitchat
and walking around. The black and deep orange ones look beautiful,
very different. I am enjoying my time too.
I have posted the blog in Smile Corner. As usual there is a long lineups of cars. The second security guard will start working next week. He was suppose to start today however as I didnt get your approval I delayed the start date. I suspect that you are busy and therefore not being able to provide your approval. I need 2 guards as there is a lot of people. The local police is helping out to manage the flow of traffic. They usually have 2 officers posted to direct traffic

Thanks Jimmy. Too bad that we cant have Toastmasters meeting. I am getting a lot of requests for that but management is not approving it due to social distancing concerns. There always used to be a big crowd for these meetings and management is concerned that the Smile blogs will draw big crowd again

Dear Madam Smile, you so good. You write good to. I go happy worker and say her, I very scare. She say what happen. I say my Madam go lot place, like lake and it no safe. Happy worker say yes but she must be observing social distancing. I say yes but she go with her son and her son bad and no care. Remember he no take her to doctor after bus accident and also make her take bus after eye doctor apointment. Happy worker say yes you good point. I say my Madam help lot people like Dear retirees, Dear Dave and Linda, Dear Dean, Dear Prof George, Dear Me. She also help Dear Sheema but Dear Sheema no write comennt any more. I want to tell her more but she say she need go and make important phone. I do 2 proud job and always read blog

There are some retirees that we have not heard from in a while and we are very concerned about their well being. The retirees who asked for your advice last week about the joint family living situation asked me to remind you about that. Also the Smile with Smile program is looking for some help. They are thinking that I did not mention to you but I told them that I asked you 2 weeks ago and again last week but you are probably busy. When you get a chance if you can help because the teenage at home situation is getting somewhat concerning

ReplyDeleteThe students are reading your blog to keep our sanity because our parents are driving us crazy. Some parents do bizarre things like if there is some cereal left, they mix the crumbs with the new cereal. They dont understand that we want to eat cereal and not crumbs. Also, some parents keep insisting that we eat dinner together and then sit with them after that. What the hell is that. There is nothing to talk about other than lectures. In one case the dad wants to lecture at least once every 2-3 weeks for a full 2 mins, though one time he went for 3 minutes!! They also want us to be included in decisions about home improvements and other silly projects that they have. It is simply driving us insane. We know that the lucky guy, Master Golden and Slurpee boy dont have to worry about it because of you, but for us, its a big issue

Just close your eyes and let me know if you dont actually see the scene that Smile is painting with her words. Yes. You are right, I also felt that I was seeing the scene through Smile's eyes, I mean words!
