Thought Of The Day

    May 14th 2024 It is a mixed cloudy sunny morning. It was raining early morning, just stopped. Deck is all washed and clean. Rain drops are scattered all over the lush green grass, looking like pearls. Trees are now back to life. Brick red and white planters are all set by the side of deck, waiting for flowers to bloom. Red and yellow Tulip are smiling by the side of my front door. It looks like a festive atmosphere. Magnolia tree is loaded with green, not many flowers there. Most of them are gone. They start their cycle early, don't wait for others to join. They are the first one, to announce, to ring the bell that spring is coming, make plans and get ready. When others taking time to revive, they start flowering to make our days. Don't mind to be alone, to handle the weather. I think when there is will, there is always a way. I started my day early today. I have not much to do at home. I did my laundry on weekend. My daughters called me from Kent, Grimsby and

    May 11th 2024 Sunny, bright beautiful morning. Summer is not around the corner. It is already here in full bloom. We don't need jackets to get out. Amazing. Time to hit roads, trails and waters. It is 10.30, I am at lake, Petticoat Creek. Water is sparkling like silver. It is not quiet, making beautiful soft and musical sounds. So eye catching scenic view to behold and enjoy. My son has gone for his long walk. I am walking by the side of lake. A baby bird is walking beside me. She is walking fast. It is tough for me to compete with her at my age. She is young.  She has gone far, looked back at me and flown away. She must be smiling at me. She is the winner. I am happy for her. It is the era of next generation. Our time is already done. Nothing wrong to accept that. This is life. It is 11.30, I am done at the lake. My son is going to Costco. I planned to go to Tim Horton, on the way.     May 7th 2024 Beautiful morning. Sun is shining in full bloom. Smiling from up and above. Weather is great, 15 C. I have to do some other things at home. Have to do laundry and make some calls. I will do that later. Have to postpone all that. First thing first. I have to go for my walk to enjoy. We have to avail and try to make use, to make our day. Don't have to wait. I am getting ready to go. It is 11.15, 18 C. I think, don't need any jacket. Things change so quickly, same with weather. Time flies. Moments go on slipping form our hand. Same is our health, our age. Nothing is permanent, not for ever. Value all that, whatever is today.  My Uni friend is calling me. I will call her back later. We did our Masters together, more than half a century ago, from the same Uni. She lives in Markham. I don't drive, neither she. We make calls to connect, to chit chat, to keep our friendship stable.  We are from the same era, so many things are common to talk about. We

  May 4th 2024 I am one year older. One more year gone down to drain. My birthday was on May 2nd, two days back. I take age like  numbers. You don't have to count. Try to do whatever you can till you are mobile. Do things on your own. We never know, what will be the next.  God forbid, anything can happen at any age. Value your time and your health. Especially your health. That is priority. Try to enjoy. Celebrate with whatever is available. Don't have to wait.  Future, we don't know. Past is done. You can not turn the page to rewrite, to do it again. Try to forget whatever is done. Present is everything to be focused on. My family celebrated my birthday, like a big day. My grandson, the middle one, made special steak for me, with Avocado oil, Thyme and Rosemary. It took him two hours in kitchen, to do that for everyone in the family.
