Thought Of The Day

  Tuesday -- Beautiful sunny morning 22 C, will be 29 later in the afternoon. It is 9.30, I am done with my breakfast, having my morning tea, sitting in TV lounge. Sports Channel is on. Nowadays Hockey and Basketball Play off season is going on.  Toronto Maple Leaf team is out, still people are hooked with the season. Next favorite is the Baseball season games. Same scenario, our Toronto Blue Jays won the championship years back in 1993, still people love to watch. It is called "Ball game".  Our Basketball team,  "Toronto Raptors", is relatively new. Established in 1995, winning most of the games. Last year won the Championship, still not as favorite as others.  Hard work always pays off. One day they will get their spot in people's heart. For the last couple of weeks, we are experiencing record hot days, here in Canada. I think this is all because of climate change scenario. Summer not used to be so long with such record temperatures.   Thursday -- Beautiful sunny morning 16 C, will be 27 later in the evening. It is 10. 15, I am in the TV lounge, enjoying my morning tea. TV is on, I am watching the Headline News also looking at the view of my backyard.  Renovation work was going on for couple of days, now completed. Machine and workers are gone.  It is a total different scenario from the view of, days before. I can not believe that things can change so quickly.  My back garden doesn't look like a garden anymore. Pear tree was on the left side, in my garden, for years, is gone now. Birds used to gather under the tree, for their morning walks, to chit chat, to enjoy their time. I think there is time to leave for everyone. Birds will find another place. Nothing stops.  Life goes on.  Ring out the old, ring in the new, is normal. We have to make use of whatever is there.   Saturday -- Beautiful sunny morning 19 C will be 33 later in the afternoon. It is 9.15, I have the whole day to do things, whatever I want. Mornings are like clean slate. We are at liberty to write anything on, paint any picture, to beautify our day.  I am done with my breakfast, enjoying morning tea, sitting in my TV lounge. Sports Channel is on. My son watching Highlights of some Hockey game. Toronto Maple Leaf team is out but Playoff season is on. I am watching that and also enjoying the beautiful view of my back garden.  My youngest daughter just called from Reading. She loves gardening, showing me her beautiful flowers of orange, yellow, purple white and of so many other colors. She was proudly showing her kitchen garden plants. It is Thursday bright beautiful sunny morning. It is 3 C not below zero. What a surprise for we Canadians. Couple of days back, it was 26 C below zero.Birds are back from South of the Border.  Black Squirrel is back for his workouts on the wooden fence of my back garden. It is time to start celebrations. Spring is just around the corner.  Magnolia tree will be the first one to spread happiness, giving color to my front garden. I cant wait anymore. The pear tree, which is giving a look of skeleton will be back to life with full bloom. Spring is time of revival of life, time of celebrations. Autumn is time to collect treasures. It is Monday sunny hot 34 C. It is 9.15 beautiful morning. I am walking  on my driveway enjoying the scenic view around. My friend will be  coming   to pick me up. I have to go to Altona and Finch to one of my friend's place  for brunch. Couple of my friends will be there. We will have good time. For now I am enjoying the pink and yellow flowers at one of my neighbor's front garden. Red and Pink Roses smiling on my next door neighbor's  garden.  Birds having chit chat on the tree tops around.  Black squirrel busy having breakfast on my front garden. My small black  bag  is on the red wooden bench beside the Magnolia tree. White butterfly  busy talking to flowers of her own choice. Dear Retirees I mentioned about the "Ya Hussain" site. It doesn't mean you have to watch all that. I wanted to make it clear that there are different Religions. We don't have to know about all those but we have to respect all....

It is Tuesday morning very hot 32 C. Summer is not going anywhere. Showers expected on Thursday. Let us see. For now it is 60% chances of rain. Wind is 18 km and gusts nearly 30 km, that makes a difference. We have AC in Canada but I still remember when in July/August, I was in England, it was too much. 30 plus temperature and no AC. Fans were not enough and fans too were out of stock in markets. Weather is changing, I think it is for sure global warming is behind all this. I remember, we didn't have any fan in Canada. I got my first fan in the year   1993. I was in London Ontario at that time. My Son was doing Masters from the Western Uni,  now his Son, my Eldest  doing his degree from the same Uni. Time flies. At that time two of my  Daughters  were also with me. They were not married then. Time changes   so quickly. We have to value  the moments in hand.

It is Wednesday bright sunny, 18 C, weather is great, still summer. It is 9.15, beautiful morning. I am waiting for my friend to pick me up for community  meeting. For now I am walking around my driveway, enjoying the scenic view. Dark pink Bougainvillea flowers smiling on one of the pots on my front  garden.  Rose pink, red and yellow flowers look happy on one of my  neighbor's Front  Garden. The loner Red rose looks shy, trying to smile  from behind in the corner. I can hear couple of birds from the Twin Tower apartments. I mean from  the twin trees on my next door neighbor's front yard. It was quiet for a  while.  I am happy that the apartments are now rented out. They are talking about something in a bit loud voice but their tone is not  harsh, may be they are having some sort of small gathering, may be they  are  also busy in their own community meetings. It is Friday sunny bright morning 18 C, a bit cool . It is 9 am I am done with my breakfast, sitting in the back garden of my Youngest Daughter in Reading. I am sitting on one of the blackish grey steel chairs. On my right is the big blue trampoline. Couple of years back this was full of kids in summer holidays. Now kids are grown up, busy on computers. There is no one on trampoline now. Time flies. On my left is the raised cemented triangular platform, full of variety of  flower pots. Pots of various shapes, colors and sizes. Two bottle green pots  are like full boots. One pot is like cat, built with black wires. One pot is like  swan and so on. This corner is an eye catching spot of the back garden. Behind this beautiful  corner, I can see tall trees of the neighboring garden. I think more than 15 ft in height. Two grey squirrels are busy climbing these trees. One pigeon is walking around. It is Monday morning bright sunny still cool with 17 C. Back garden  looking beautiful, I am not sitting there. I am sitting in the kitchen at the  back entrance. From here I can see the entire garden. Pink Roses are  giggling and are in  full bloom.  Pink and scarlet red Fuchsia are loaded with flowers. Pink Hydrangea  are bright pink in color. Couple of days rain changed their entire life. Grass looking much greener. White butterfly is happy to see all this. One of my Daughter's friend invited me for dinner tonight. Whole family  will go. I am scared of Father, while writing about dinners and party.  Father will   give more tough time to my friend Hannah.  My son calls me every day.
