Mental Knots

Mirrors reflect back to us Our feelings about ourselves For every habit we have For every experience we go through Over and over For every pattern we repeat There is a need within us for it The poor relationships, the failures The cigarettes, the anger The abuse or whatever there is That's a problem for us How many times have we said " I won't ever do that again " ? Then, before the day is up We have the piece of cake Smoke the cigarettes, say Hateful things to the ones we love And so on Then we compound the whole problem By angrily saying to Ourselves, " Oh you have no willpower, no discipline, you're just weak " This only adds to the load of guilt We already carry Be gentle and patient with yourself As you untangle your own mental knots Get help if you need it Above all, love yourself in the process the willingness to let go Of the old painful experiences Is the

Don't Pent - Up

Sometimes our Past Experiences and emotions Can get locked in the body We have to get rid off that To live and enjoy the present moment fully Sometimes we need to Experience a physical letting go Screaming in the car with All the windows rolled up Can be very releasing if We have been stifling Our verbal expression Beating the bed or Kicking pillows is a Harmless way to release Pent -- up anger same as Playing Tennis or running

Please keep reminding yourself There's one thing I can not abide Wasting time I genuinely believe that If there's one duty we all have It's to use the full, whatever Time or talents We may have been given " Service is the rent we pay           for our room on earth." A life spent in making mistakes Is not only more Honorable But more useful than A life spent doing nothing

Handling Stress

Stress good or bad ? Too much stress cause us Loose sleep, edgy, irritable High blood pressure and so on. If we don't feel any stress We may not be placing Any significance on what we are doing. That can be as bad As too much stress Check out your stress If it is people problem Take time to talk it out Try to put yourself in the other person's shoes If you are wrong Admit it and apologize You will be winner by Gaining your respect And releasing your pressure If it is work related Try to work around that area

Take Nothing

Take nothing but pictures. Leave nothing but footprints. Kill nothing but time. Trees are homes to squirrels, wood pigeons and birds. A source of nectar for bees. It's canopy of branches protect people from both Rain and the hot midday sun. It has been the setting for countless picnics. They are one of the best of nature's gift Please take care of them

In January 1992 I was volunteering in The Microbiology Department of University of Toronto in Canada I came across with a Chinese Lady She was supervising the Autoclave and Sterilization Unit of the department in the Basement area She was going on holidays She told me that her youngest daughter is 25 years old I was surprised, she was not looking old enough To have a daughter of 25 years of age At that time my 2nd youngest daughter was Going to be married in a couple of months She was 19 years old That Chinese lady was surprised and in a Tone of admiration discussed My daughter's  marriage, which was arranged Then she started talking about her daughter, that She is not ready even to marry After sometimes she came to know that I just migrated couple of years ago All her surprises and admiration was gone She told me I am here for 20 years If you stay that long All will be changed She was telling me about herse

Deaths and Births

Our whole lifetime is a series of Simultaneous deaths and births " Throughout the whole of life one must           continue to learn to live " And what will amaze you even more Throughout life one must learn to die It is also clear the farther one travels on The journey of life, the more Births one will experience, and Therefore the more deaths  ------- the More joy and the more pain Whether it is ever possible to become Free from emotional pain In this life ? I think never Is it possible to spiritually evolve to A level of consciousness at which the Pain of living is at least Diminished ? The answer is yes and no The answer is yes, because Once suffering is completely accepted It ceases in a sense to be Suffering because the Unceasing practice of discipline Leads to mastery and the Spiritually evolved person is masterful in the Same sense that the adult is Masterful in relation to the child

Make Appointments

It is good to make appointments With yourself Like I'm going to do it Tuesday between 4 to 6 PM Remember mind moves only Toward specifics If you say to a friend " Let's get together some day " It'll never happen but if you Make an appointment with your friend It will happen so To make things happen Set a time frame Trust me It will work

I'm Not Good Enough

We are each responsible for All our experiences Every thought we think is Creating our future The point of power is always In the present moment Everyone suffers from self --- hatred and guilt The bottom line for everyone is, " I'm not good enough ". It's only a thought, and A thought can be changed We create every so -- called Illness in our body Resentment, criticism and guilt are The most damaging patterns Releasing resentment will dissolve even cancer We must begin to learn To love ourselves

No Complains Please

We are what we repeatedly do Excellence, then, is not an act Become a habit Being thankful is a habit The best one you'll ever have How many times a day We complain Don't complain because you don't have Enjoy what you have got Try to appreciate what we have We never appreciate the value of water Until the well runs dry That's true with a lot of other things, too It's easy to take people, Things and freedom for granted Especially when we've never been without them.

Time Blocks

Don't wait for the right mood Or the right time Be consistent and block specific Periods in your daily schedule Use a little -- bit -- at  -- a -- time Approach It will become a habit Writing a book seems an Overwhelming job when looked on as a whole but if you Write only one page a day It will be done just like building a brick house The individual bricks are pretty small and the process of laying them only one at a time Looks painfully slow We can use small blocks of time in Much the same way Success is the result of hard work done Little by little, day by day

I remember, in 1972 , my sister was married And leaving for London, England We were happy because of her wedding But more than that, she was going to England At that time back home, people could not imagine North America Just like people of West,  at that time Could think of going only to Moon Not to Mars My sister came back after a year She wanted to stay and didn't want to Go back to London She was feeling very lonely and Didn't enjoy the glitter of Europe But when she stayed for a while and was facing  power shut down No safe drinking water Flies and Mosquitoes On top She became miserable, with her 4 month Little daughter, she knew She had to get bored in London still She left for England , leaving us behind In complete astonishment and confusion That was the first time we ever knew That anybody could get bored and lonely In the glittering Europe It was just as, when Neil Armstrong Landed on Moon

Obstacles an Asset ?

Obstacles are an asset. Obstacles force you to move forward, to do more. To do better not bitter. Try to find a way to turn your obstacles into assets. Don't be scared, sometimes people make an obstacle an asset. If you feel stressed out Take time out, even for just a few minutes. Some quiet reading, a good walk Some relaxation, or a shift of scenery Can work wonders. These steps will help to relieve your stress. So don't be scared of obstacles. Face it and work around it.

It was 1993 , Rawanda was everywhere , in the News and   in the people discussion. I joined Oxfam for fundraising and Door to door collection. In addition I was volunteering " Global House " , the settlement services of Immigration department of Canada. There was a lady, day Manager from Jamaica, Some of her friend was asking about her mother , who used to live With her. She told her friend that her Mom went back to Jamaica , she wanted so badly to go back and to be with her Own people, she was feeling lonely. She said people want to adopt the children from Rawanda, The war zone,   my  advice to the people is that, let them be with their own people People in their own culture The children will never be happy , there will be no one to talk. I got confused , what is right and what is wrong  Still I am the same , confused, even in 2016 My TV is on and I am watching the Syrian Refugee News With my fingers crossed.

In Return

Think about, when was the last time you did something Really nice for someone. Think about how it made you feel on the inside Relaxed, nourished and satisfied. How we feel when we get beautiful card Or a letter from someone. It feels somebody thinking of me Thoughtful for me. Kindness reminds me of our shared humanity. Daily challenges have a way of overwhelming us Making life harder than it needs to be. Stop the little things in life from driving Them crazy. Take some time off, for little acts of kindness. It will give you great rewards in return.

Joy in Your Heart

Always carry a joy in your heart Never begin by announcing " I am going to prove so -- and -- so to you ". That's like," I am smarter than you are ". That's a challenge. It arouses opposition and makes the listener want to battle with you. Socrates said repeatedly to his followers, one thing only I know And that is that  " I know nothing " There's magic, positive magic in such phrases as " I may be wrong ". A little kindness just might keep the doctor away. Exciting studies claim health benefits for acts of kindness. When you are kind,you become stronger and healthier. When you are loved by others for your act of kindness You feel peaceful most of the time so Be kind to be healthy Kindness always will pay you off

Say Hello

Making simple, effective changes can get Our lives back on course. Change can add up to a fortune. Here are some ideas to brighten your days And the days of other people. Take time to smile at cashier and tell them What a great job they are doing. Send a " Thinking of you " greeting card In the mail, the old fashioned way. Do the same with e --  mail. Pay someone else's toll behind you On the Bridge or Expressway What goes around Comes around so Brighten their day It will make you happy Try it please

Just Talk

A small shift in the direction of your life Has so much power. It can put smile on so many faces And your life be filled With more peace and happiness. Call someone just to say, " I Love You " Or for some other nice reason. Have no agenda and don't ask anything Just talk. Think of people in your life who do Many things for other, call them to talk. Send an anonymous donation To your favorite charity, and don't tell Anyone about it. Cut someone else's grass. Smile at strangers on the street until You get someone to smile back. Eventually someone will.

Comfort Zone

What goes around comes around Giving is it's own reward Give and you shall receive spiritually One thing is certain, when we step out of our Comfort zone and give a little more than what we are accustomed to giving Be it money, love, time, idea, forgiveness Or assistance. It comes back to us with interest. In fact, in every case, a slight increase in Generosity brought immense joy and meaning to that person's own life. Small change goes a long way.

Awful Morning

Writing is a wonderful way to access Wisdom and insight. Take some time to write in a journal Or notebook. Focus on small, simple and manageable Steps in your life instead of making things complicated. Experience your journey of life Fully and consciously rather than rushing To achieve a particular result.

Carry A Joy

Always carry a joy in your heart In the days we human sat around fires In our caves, our brains have been wired For stories  ---  it's how we make sense of the world Apply that to your own lives to establish A state of deep and lasting happiness. If the world didn't give you that joy The world can't take it away. Try to get that joy, that happiness Which is deep and lasting happiness It will be there to stay with you No one can take it away.
