It is beautiful morning temperature still plus 2 at the end of October  last night it was zero sun is shining  giving a shy smile Grass is glistening with all the dew droplets on it's surface all neighbored very quiet  In one of the front garden one loner bright red Rose flower is waiting for company  On the next door driveway two very tall trees look like twins these are from pine family so still full green It was zero last night so the yellow and gold leaves are not scattered all nicely gathered by the sides of driveway  everything looks well settled and organized No wind atmosphere is peaceful and calm I think God is thinking to provide everyone some time to think and doing " Nothing " just to ponder and relax

Today it is 4 degrees but drizzling  all day I was planning to go for a walk but not a good day I keep reminding myself that I live in Canada so never be demanding with  weather what is there is there just go for it Winter is close by and day by day temperature goes on slipping away we start giving value to the plus temperature even if it is 2 degrees When we start losing something  we feel it's value same is with weather but it is raining and to walk with umbrella is not a good idea I don't mind snow but walking in rain not me Now I have to plan my day and find something to get busy try to engage with other things  My son is working from home so God gave me opportunity to get busy and gave me a day plan  I am busy with doing things for him giving him lunch and tea in between his meetings and work I enjoy this more than anything then after 3 pm my grand kids will be back from school so will set snacks on th

It is morning sky looks all muddy with light grey borderline houses enveloped in fog at night it was minus  so above of my car and van I see dust of snow and also some parts of the dead end of the road beside my house is shining with icy  small patches Every morning is a different scenario it is 27th of October so snow not far morning a bit quiet still I can hear the intermittent traffic flow enough to break the quietness and signalling that everyone trying to be awake and ready to roll Today my Club is off I will find some other activities to get busy to start my day my very short yoga session just 5 to 7 minutes then I will make my breakfast my oatmeal cereal and stir fry egg with a hot cup of tea We are the music makers we have to chalk out our day plan it doesn't matter if we are retired  we have to keep working on our day tight compartment it is more important now Laundry is out of question as not enough loa

It is 7 in the morning  a different scenery today very light pinkish hue emerging at the bottom of the dark sky which becomes grey while meeting the pinkish borderline  just above the dark roofs of houses Trees, road and driveway all trying to emerge to give their clear picture  I switched my computer on to check my Face book messages from my Daughters in England and from my friend  in  Sydney  My friend's cousin is in hospital she was worried because of him I started thinking that  how strong are we ? or how weak we are as nothing is in our power  All is guided and controlled from the Power above and High our mind and our body and all body parts are under His control We are here for a given time allotted and with the power which is considered to be given we have to act accordingly We forget everything and start boasting taking each of our success stories as our own accomplishment whole of our life stories are around "

To be with people is like a craving like a Chip  embedded inside my heart It was early 1980 when I was working and people used to come to my office to talk about their problems and to share My colleagues were of the opinion that people use to come with heavy hearts and leave with smiling faces  They named my office as " Hyde Park " where people can talk about anything  I salute those who shared their personal matters with me having confidence and their trust they were sure that it will never be breached They gave me Life lessons were great teachers of mine I got my listening skills developed and my patience too above all have a feel from other's  prospective  When we share something we learn so much out of that I realized that there is nothing good or bad -- big or small  sometimes very small things  leave a scar and same is otherwise Small things give lots of happiness change our lives so never unde

It is night time 7 pm I am going with my son to drop my eldest Grand kid to Hockey Arena  he has to go for a Coaches meeting to reshuffle the teams as season has started I can see the confidence the hidden sense of glory and accomplishment he is 17 and I think he is taking this as one of his big achievement to be a Coach Our joy and happiness everything is relative and changes at every step of our Life we feel something very important but at our later stage of Life not looks so Something we push so hard to get at any cost looses it's value after a while it doesn't mean anything and we get surprised of ourselves that why we were after this Life is a change every step every moment we see different targets to achieve we see change in our interest in our goals When we are kid our focus is winning every game every sport then our studies after that our career and at later stage our objectives are divided between self a

It is 7 in the morning I am watching from my Bedroom window Mist everywhere I see three trees lined up by the side of my front yard One very tall green tree I think more than 20 feet the other green tree not so tall the center one lost most of the leaves just a skeleton like an old member of the house In the center is Solo tree with bright yellow leaves some orange too standing with great confidence with strong roots it's branches and leaves spreading and covering nearly the whole of the front yard area This solo tree looks to me a highly educated member of my front yard family a very cultured  and stylish  well composed who is living an artistic and polished life style It's body is very strong but slender I think he is strongly following the Diet plan and goes to Gym to build muscles and to keep body in shape Anyhow I am very much impressed and try to behave myself  while passing by this tree who doesn't car

It was night time I was going with my son to pick my grandson from Hockey game it was cloudy so was pitch black We were passing through the street lined both sides with trees it was a two track highway so trees looked like not so far away I opened my window to smell and to breathe in real fresh air I was lucky I smelled a very strong odor sure skunk must be around somewhere here It gave me very different feeling feeling of passing through the Real Woods trees were very quiet may be already asleep Stillness all around so calm so peaceful wind also moving with caution making sure not to stir and  disturb the serene atmosphere  We see different shades of Nature  this is a Solemn one not the Joyous mood of the Morning God is Gracious to provide us a variety of taste and flavor and also vibrant scenic views to behold and enjoy and be Thankful

It is morning I have to go for a community gathering at someone Place I am waiting on my Driveway for my friend who is about to pick me up I was enjoying the birds busy sitting on top of Maple tree in  talking may be to their friends The morning dew shining on Grass which is still green not faded away as Fall is not yet in full bloom It looks like pearls out of seashell colors started changing You can see all shades of yellow in one tree from greenish yellow to pale to gold Two squirrels playing hide and seek Ants busy in collecting food to store for the winter which is about to come I can hear the morning rush hour Traffic in full swing Engines running with a light Buzz Everything signalling Life My friend came  and said to me you must   be waiting long it was traffic  so I am a  bit late I was thankful to my Friend who was a bit late due to traffic and I was able to have Moments of Joy and Tranquility God provides us

   I am not sure in yesterday's  Blog if I clearly delivered my Message I wanted to say in difficult Moments to make decisions not so hard as in day to day life Matters My Retiree Members can  take some Tips from  this Blog You don't have to run a Marathon  just relax and be to yourself Get involved in your Grand kids life keep in mind  They don't need us We need them  and their Love  Every day  take a few minutes to experience  the Earth  stand sit or  lie on  Earth, the grass the ground or on floor Even if you are lying on a carpet you are being  held by the Earth spend at least  5 minutes  and feel the Earth this is a  sacred time  It will bring  relaxation and calm in our life a  good start  for our Day We see the  rhythm of  Earth spring -- summer  --autumn and  winter  same like  as in our life Write down the things we are  grateful for once in a while try to find the value  in doing  Nothing  This will work as a  Cr

Sometimes we are stuck not in making big decision s but things which are not  important and to be decided one way or another I think we have to leave it for a while let go things to cool down if we can have good sleep it will be the best Don't push yourself for a quick solution take it easy think for the worst then take one step forward at a time Nothing is End of the world I think for big things we are like in a shock state of mind so we decide quickly Small things give me more problems while to be solved it drains me out as there is nothing drastic either way so d ifficult to choose

In the  morning I was waiting for Bus # 120 just two days back it was 28 and sunny I had to take shelter behind the electric pole from the scorching Sun In Canada sun rays come direct because of Ozone Hole and it is burning and uncomfortable in hot summer days It is 19 and cloudy today so I am taking the shelter behind that electric pole to escape the wind and cold weather How quickly things change same like our Life  Kids grow so fast finish their schooling and Nest is empty We have to value each and every Moment to drain it out to our utmost satisfaction What goes around comes around but I think not true for everything like our age which moves on We have to celebrate whatever time left and use it with our full capacity by using all the means we have in our power so let us Celebrate Our Today

It was Friday from 10 am to 3 pm I was in the Age -- Friendly Durham Community Forum at Deer Creek Golf and Banquet Facility It was great  ponds all around the Lush green grass and the colorful Flowers such a beauty Banquet Hall with beautiful chandeliers big glass windows giving an open concept  Tea and Coffee with freshly baked Croissant and Danish giving an Aroma to the atmosphere Great speakers and short workshops not too long to get you bored Lunch was served at the table with Soup Fish and Chicken options Desserts in big glass Platter along  with fruit salad  What else you want to make your Day Your Comments will be like Cherry on Top

For My Readers in Ireland It is nearly quarter a Century back My daughter who now lives in Grimsby England used to live in Limerick Ireland I had a chance to visit my Daughter couple of times and the Beauty of Ireland still fresh in my mind It was such a scenic view of Tralee  Killarnee and the road trip the two mountains meeting what I remember The freshly prepared Fish and Chips My Son In Law had 2 hours Drive for me from Limerick to Cork Small single road running through small Town where I had to go to Pub downstairs to use washroom old style spacious Toilets We were driving on right side was Hilly region the other side was Water after half way water was on the right side and Hills on left it was a narrow road with turns I think while going to Killarnee The small old Castles  the antique shops Sheep grazing in lush green  Farms the boundaries of Farms  of round stones wavy narrow roads Dublin where canal was passing  th

It is Sunday my weekends  are in Hockey Arena during Fall and winter time it is 14 and sunny so I am walking outside in Woods Trees and Bushes look very relaxed wild yellow and violet flowers in full bloom with broad smile Yellow and white butterflies  hopping from flower to  flower  leaves and branches enjoying giving a Nod  This all making a very low tone of melodious musical Note I am enjoying everything giving me a sense of Tranquility My favorite author James Herriot said about  grassy land as the most wonderful natural mattress in the world Lying down on grass you can feel the fragrance around you Try that you feel good

It is 10 in the morning 13 and cloudy still not chilly I am at Don Beer Hockey Arena with My Son and all 3 Grand kids My elder one is in Grade 12 Today he will be the Head Coach the next one who is in Grade 10 will be Assisting and the 3rd one is playing When there are all 3 Teenagers together in House League you have to keep an eye anything could happen My Son will be having a watch I am watching them coaching  first time in their Life and also walking around between the Rinks in the Arena also writing my Blog Now I am walking outside in the Woods for a while it is cold as wind started blowing but not too hard I love the wild a different Aroma here you not only watching so close to Nature like touching and can have a Real Feel for Everything I can see all variety of Wild vegetation the untouched beauty very Raw it is such a contrast form the atmosphere inside the Arena So quiet and still just the sigh of bushes who b

It was month of May month of My Birthday there was a Ballot Box in the Library from Durham Region for Seniors to put their Dreams to come true I started thinking at this age is there any Dream left then I just jot down whatever came in my mind at that time My Dream was My Son takes me to  Eat out I dream sometimes I can take My Family  somewhere for Dinner as a Head of family Last week I got a call that I am the winner of My Dream program now I am taking my family of five my 3 Grandsons My son and my Daughter in law to a private full Dinner service arranged by the City I think it is worth to celebrate Today was the Day which I was looking forward but the Venue was Retirement Home in Durham Region so I was not excited What I was thinking like a small room to fit in My Family and believe me a bit nervous for the reaction from My Family after Dinner When I entered the Place I was ready to take out my Seniors Club Car
