Fragrance All Around

It is Sunday my weekends 
are in Hockey Arena during
Fall and winter time
it is 14 and sunny so I am walking outside in Woods

Trees and Bushes look very
relaxed wild yellow and violet
flowers in full bloom with
broad smile

Yellow and white butterflies 
hopping from flower to flower 
leaves and branches
enjoying giving a Nod 

This all making a very low tone
of melodious musical Note
I am enjoying everything
giving me a sense of Tranquility

My favorite author James Herriot
said about grassy land as the
most wonderful natural mattress
in the world Lying down on grass
you can feel the fragrance around you
Try that you feel good

      Lot of discussion today about Smile's dream. Sherry, Sam, Craig and Jenny thought that this is the most novel and generous thing that they have heard. Cloe, with the dramatic personality, thought this could be made into a movie

    Dear Madam Smile, you play hockey on weekends and also go to woods. I do 2 job so don't get time for play or go to wood. I read about them from your blog. You write so good.

    We appreciate your daily blog. Though some of our members are fitness addicts but even they don't go to a hockey game and a walk on the very same weekend, let alone on the same day.

    I lost the race to post the blog today as not just todays, but the ones from the weekends were also posted.

    Our colleagues were talking about Smile's dream dinner. They thought it was quite a unique dream. Plus a lot of appreciation of her weekend activities. Some are thinking that she is her 30s

    It is great that you enjoy taking your grandkids to their hockey game. Please don't get offended but your son should not be relying on you to have his kids be active. You are retired, you should be allowed to plan your weekends as you choose. It is good that you are enjoying it and making the most of it

  January 12th 2024 It is around mid of January. Time for us to, start getting snow storms. This will be off an on, for the next couple of weeks. It is 10.15, mixed sunny cloudy morning, windy too. Gusts are 38 to 48 km.  Friday used to be my work day, not today. Kids day camp is going on in the library, at my work place. I am off for the whole week. I have to find my own things to do, to get busy. From Monday, things will be back on track. I will be having my regular work hours. It is 11.45, I am getting ready to walk to Tim Hortons. I take it as my second home. I know that it is cold and windy. I am all set with gloves, stole and three layers underneath my winter coat. I will be fine. Whites Road and walkway is, all clear of snow. I see some white patches of snow, by the side of road, under trees and bushes. This is the beauty of Toronto, snow cleared right away.   July 7th 2023 It is hot sunny morning, 9.15 and already 24 C, feel like 26. I woke up early, done with my breakfast. Talked to one of my daughters, my middle one, called me from Grimsby.  She was going home, done with her work. It was a brief talk. She was busy, picking up her son, on the way from school. My other daughters are still at work. They will call me later on. We talk everyday, not much, just to connect.  I am busy with my computer. No message from my childhood friend. She never skips, must be busy. She was at her son's place in Sydney, was planning to go back to Perth, to be with her daughter. She must be stuck, other matters to be resolved. Anyway we have to find our own, "Things to do", to get busy, to make our day. Don't have to wait for people's calls and messages. I am busy playing Scrabble and Card games on my computer.   June 13th 2023 Beautiful morning. Great weather. It was raining all day, yesterday. Stopped at late night. I was working, Mondays are my work days. Have to go to play Darts. It starts at 9.30 in mornings. We were thirteen all together. Picked our numbers to make teams. Two boards with four teams. Three players in each. One team was odd, I mean with four. Anyway we enjoyed. Thirteen seniors on a rainy day, out to play, to enjoy time together. Amazing at that age. Gives inner peace. Boosts will power with affirmation that we still can do it. Rain or no rain, nothing can stop, to make our day. I think, will is everything behind your motto. When there is a will, there is always a way to go ahead, to move on, to do what you want. Today is Tuesday, weather is great 18 C, a bit on a cooler side. I am off, not working on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Last week I booked my flight to England. My daughters were pushing me for that.
