Letter To My Dear Readers

Image
Dear Friends I got comments from you people after long wait. Because of Glitch, I don't get comments every day. I keep praying for everyone of you. Just take one day at a time. Things will be fine. This too shall pass. After all, God is there to watch over us. That is enough. Nothing to worry about. Relax and have patience. Dear Friends in Ireland, I was worried about the situation at the Cafe. My friend, the Councilor is right. Because of Covid, no one picking the mail.  Don't listen to the Priest. No protest please. By the way, he gave your money back or still enjoying with that. Keep your Cafe open. Don't take law into hands. No protest or any such thing. Write another apology letter to Authorities with an humble request for pardon. Get the signatures, send to them and keep the copy please.  Mention that you came earlier, in person with letter of apology, office was closed, because of Covid conditions. Mention the date, if you don't remember, write the week, to cla

Skeleton Trees The Great

Friday -- Beautiful cold sunny morning with 20 C below zero. Not snowing today but Weather Channel warning cold alert for couple of days. It is 9.15, I am done with my breakfast, having my morning cup of tea, also  enjoying the view of my back garden. Snow is all around.  My steel garden furniture is half covered under the ice blanket. Glass top of my patio table, loaded with thick sheet of snow.  It is 10.15, I am in my room,  sitting with my friend, my computer. It connects me with my family and friends, takes me to various places to enjoy my time. Blinds of my windows, are drawn up. I am enjoying the view of my front garden and also connected to my neighborhood.  My neighborhood is quiet. Cars are not on driveways. They are hiding inside the garage. I think, people are working from home, kids also doing things online. That makes a lots of difference. The nearby Whites Road doesn't look busy too, can't hear much traffic over there. My garden is not a garden anymore.  Red wo

I Salute You February

Tuesday -- Cold cloudy morning with 9 C below zero. White dust everywhere. More snow to come. Weather channel showing, it is on the way. What you expect my dear. It is Canada and on top, February is getting closer. Not a week away.  I still remember, the time around more than quarter a century back. I was in Ottawa, in the land of ice. Snow floating in lake,  even in the month of May.  My son was busy with his Masters and his work at "Nortel". To pass my time, I joined Oxfam, Immigration Centre and volunteered in Carlton Uni. Started some courses. My teacher asked about the month and date.  It was month of February. She started giving a bleak picture of the month of February.  According to her, this is the month of family disputes, separations and divorces. This month looks, like a tunnel with no light. I  remember all that. But I  don't agree with all this.  Weather and people around, matter a lot in our life. Still, I believe that  thinking positive is the key to lead

We Humans are Great

Friday -- Beautiful mixed sunny cloudy cold morning with 8 C below zero. Not bad for here in Toronto. Nowadays my schedule more or less is the same. Going to lake, to walk around, busy with kitchen matters and with my computer, browsing messages and making calls. I am fine with my schedule.  Anything to get busy is always good, to distract you from thinking negative. It is better to chalk out your day plan, to live in day tight compartment. This helps to get rid of so many negative things, which are enough for us, to feel down and depressed. I still sometimes recall the days before this Covid episode, which changed everything, the entire world is sort of upside down. No more travels, no more family visits, no more visitors. Stay home, to be safe.  This too shall pass.  We have to follow the rules. This is for our own safety.  I recall the days when I was working full time, going to library, sort of my work place, to play Darts in mornings and Bowling in the afternoons. In between, us

Era of Our Golden Age

Tuesday -- Beautiful cold sunny morning with 8 C below zero. White stuff is all around. Must be snowing early morning. Yellow garbage truck is at my door. Today is garbage day in our neighborhood. Green grass of my front garden is covered under the white blanket. Red wooden bench shining on the white floor. Looks a very quiet atmosphere around. Skeleton trees are also quiet. Cars sitting on driveways, waiting for order. It is 10.15, I am done with my breakfast, now in my room, sitting with my computer, browsing Facebook messages. My youngest daughter called me from Reading. She was just back from school. It is already afternoon at her place. She is in different time zone, five hours forward than of our time here in Toronto. She was busy. With kids, work and looking after bed ridden in laws, not easy. I salute her patience.  We had a brief talk, just to connect. We parents have to realize that our kids are busy, so many things to do, to deal with. We don't have to put them on the sp

Open Letter To My Dear Readers

I got your comments yesterday. Two days after I posted my Blog on Friday. Things not looking good. I am worried about you people.  Dear Friend in Ireland,  I am not happy with the Priest. He tricked you to get your savings. He takes Church as his personal property. He wants funds, to beautify the place, just like his own mansion. He forgets that Church is a place, above from all this. Building is immaterial. It is a place where people come for direct Dialing to God. It is place to get peace and harmony.  Priest wants people around to deliver his speech. To elevate his personality, to feel good. Church is higher place, above to all this. Number of people doesn't make any difference. The only thing matters is the purity of heart and purity of soul.  Take your money back from the priest. Offices are closed because of Covid conditions.  It is not your fault.  Now write the apology letter, get signatures of as many people as you can. Hope my friend the Councilor is fine now. She can s

Sometimes Better to take Exit

Friday -- Beautiful cold cloudy morning with 5 C below zero. It looks, there was rain early morning. I can see it's traces on driveways and road around. Snow is still here but the amount of the white stuff looks diminishing day by day. Still a lot. Sun peeping out from the under, smiling through the steel grey sheets.  The green grass is still with yellowish tinge but looks full of life. The skeleton trees around look confident with hope and thinking of days ahead. I think they got some assurance that i t is just a matter of time. T hings will change after couple of weeks. All credit goes to Sun the Great.  His  smiling face was able to make all the difference. Changed entire outlook of the atmosphere.  Anyone can make a difference, can put smile on the faces around.  It is 10.30, I am done with my breakfast, sitting in my room. My computer is in front. Blinds of my windows are drawn up. Sun rays trying to enter through the windows, to make my room brighter. I am enjoying all tha

This Too Shall Pass

Tuesday -- Beautiful cold cloudy morning with 8 C below zero. We know it will be below zero for couple of more months. Things will be changed from mid March. There is always light at the end of tunnel. We have to have patience. "This Too Shall Pass". For now we are trying to enjoy with whatever is there. I mean dealing with Covid and with our freezing weather, here in Canada. I was at Petticoat Creek, last evening.  People were walking on the frozen lake, playing hockey and were busy with ice fishing. Others were walking around, some with dogs, some with company, some enjoying their time alone slot.  Firetruck was there too. I think to check the safety of the people, who were walking on the  surface of the  lake.  My son forgot to bring his Cleat, so missed walk on ice. He is planning to do that today. I am enjoying my walk too, by the frozen lake. All bundled up, in layers. My maroon sweater underneath my long black winter coat.  The coat, my grandson, gifted me on his fir

We and our Mood Swings

Image
Friday -- Beautiful bright sunny cold morning. It is 17 C below zero. This is beauty of Canada that even in cold freezing, biting days, sun is there with smiling face, to balance out the situation. To dilute the intensity. I think that is  enough to change the scenario. We Canadians start getting ready to walk on the freezing lake, to skate, to play hockey, to walk our dogs. Things look like nothing happened. Glass starts looking like half full. Not half empty.  Anything around is more than enough to make a difference. Same thing happens with the people around. Our company, our friends and also the people in our household, everything matters to change our attitude.  Attitude is the key. Life is the same. It all depends, how we take it. How we look at things around. Things can ruin or can make our day. Not only the things and people around are the key factors for how we take our life but our inner weather also matters a lot. We Humans are very complex. Not Robots. Our Mood can trigger

Sun left the Horizon

Tuesday -- Beautiful mixed sunny cloudy morning with 6 C below zero. Not cold for we Canadians. No rain, no snow. It is great. Today I had my dental appointment early morning. My son woke me up for that. So nice of him. This was the first time that my Bio Clock didn't work. I was surprised. It never happened before. It was so reliable. I always trusted my Bio clock for my morning flights and other such matters.  Surprisingly, didn't work this time.  I think I am asking too much from around a century old piece of machinery. I have to be realistic. Next time have to put an alarm for my appointments. I never did before but have to start doing now. We have to make adjustments. Have to make changes in our normal routine life style. Have to go with the flow for smooth running. Nothing wrong with that. Anyway appointment done, lost one more tooth. What we expect from an old piece of machinery.  Still have many left with me. I take it like glass, not half empty. It is half full. Some

Happy New Year

Image
I wish a very happy New Year to all my Dear Readers. Friday -- Beautiful mixed sunny cloudy brand new morning of 2021. No snow no rain, still cold with 11 C below zero. Snow started melting down but I can see so much white stuff all around in my neighborhood.  last night the year 2020 stepped down, handed all of it's powers to the Next one to step in. I stayed in the TV lounge to watch the oath taking ceremony at midnight.  The year 2021 gracefully landed to put it's first step down. It was festive atmosphere with music and fire works. Of course it was different one. Because of Covid, people stayed away. Followed the Directives, stayed home and watched on TV.  We have to follow, whatever is required. Use masks and keep distancing. This is for our own safety and also for the people around. Things are about to change soon. We have to wait. Have patience. This too shall pass.  May this 2021 bring peace and happiness to all of the Creatures of God. Amen.     It is 10.30, I am at
