  30th December 2022 Happy New Year 2023  to All My Dear Readers New year is just a day away. " Ring out the old and Ring in the New ". We will make new resolutions, get ambitious, carried away, to make our plans. It will be tough for us, to fulfill our promises. Try to be realistic, while making promises. Just try to be yourself. Nothing is end of the world. Do what you like, what you can do. Don't cross your limits.  Reality is that, we all be one more year older. One more year is going down  the drain. Try to make use of the moments in hand. Be happy and let others be happy too. Mind your own business. Don't have to intrude into the personal matters of other people. Respect everyone's privacy and their emotions. Life will be good for everyone. My eldest daughter in Edmonton, got proposed. She is living by herself. Bright and beautiful day. Earlier, it was a bit cloudy, not any more. Sky looks like a vast canvas with amazing water color paintings, in all shades of Blue and Grey, mixed with milky white color. Christmas holidays are still on, as 25th was on Sunday so we got couple of extra days to balance it out. Kids are home, enjoying their sleep, must be awake late night.   23rd December 2022 Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all my Dear Readers Today is a complete different scenario. It is morning, things look fine for now. Just raining that's all, still lots of chaos around. Weather Channel and all other News Channels warning since yesterday that big storm is about to come any time today. It will be "Storm of the Generation", all across Canada and North America. It will start with rain after that drastic drop in temperature so rain water will freeze and change things into a big ice Rink. Lots of snow around, 15 to 20 CM, will be on top. It will be supplemented by hazardous wind gusts 90 Km / h, resulting in blowing snow around. Roads not will be safe. Travel will be extremely difficult and not advised. Lots of flights are getting cancelled for couple of days. So for today. you can imagine. My daughter in law planned to leave tomorrow for Houston, to her parents. We will make new resolutions, hard to follow. Everyone will be carried away, to go to Gym, follow Diet plans, to follow all good habits, to improve healthy living. That is good, still please be realistic. Don't be too ambitious, too hard to work out. Such plans will die down in couple weeks after. Not easy to cope up with.  Anyway, plan in your way. Do whatever you like to chalk out, to make your days. I think plans to bring colors and joy in your life, will matter most. Of course taking your health into account. Health is priority for everyone, not only for we seniors. Peace and harmony is also one of the key factor, specially in households. One of my friend is having tough times.      16th December 2022 Yesterday was very busy day for me. There was Christmas Lunch arranged by our Senior Club for we members. It was very festive atmosphere. Nice decorations. Good food. There was winter storm advisory. Weather was challenging. Rain and Hails, still, we had house full at our Club event.  They ordered separate lunch boxes from Swiss Chalet for everyone. So much there in each box. Not easy to finish. We had our choices for what to eat, to order before hand. I preferred vegie pie, on top was Baked potato, delicious dinner roll and variety of sauces. Cheese and all sort of Crackers. Desert was also there, variety of cakes and Pies. I just had a bit of Veggie pie, cheese and and couple of crackers. How much can I have, at my age, not much. I enjoyed the atmosphere. Who cares about food at our age. I left early, so much to enjoy after. So many activities, Music, Lucky Draw, were all scheduled.   Tuesday 13th Dec 2022 It is 8.30 morning, cold 15 C below Zero. We had our first snow fall couple of days back, it is still all around. Skeleton trees look great with white decorations and others with beautiful snow white cottony flowers. Red wooden bench is all covered with white stuff. Sun is in full bloom, shining up and above, smiling and enjoying the entire scenic view. Such a peaceful atmosphere.  Under sunlight,  Snow is shining, giving a glitter, like Silver. What a beauty, to enjoy, to cherish these moments. I am done with my breakfast. Not working today, have to find my own things to get busy. I will check my table calendar. I think, have to wash my hair and do my laundry, also have to change my bed sheets. So much to do. Today is garbage pick up day, in our neighborhood. All Blue, Grey and Green bins, are lined up on driveways, ready to be picked up.   It is 7.45, calm quiet, cloudy morning. I am in kitchen, making my breakfast. My youngest grandson, the Slurpee Boy is also awake. I have to make Peanut butter Jam sandwiches for him, also his favorite chocolate milk. I will make that first. I have go to work. My Darts start at 10. I have time. Kids always have to be priority. We can wait.  It is good to make them happy, gives them peace, that helps to build up their character. It will help to change them into a calm and cool personality and lots of patience. That will be a key for them to lead a happy life. They having patience, will be able to spread happiness around, to make a better society.  We get inner peace too, while making our young ones happy. It is always good to put smile on faces around. What goes around, comes back to you. Try to make day of the other person. Have patience. Try to forget and forgive, wrong doings of others.   6th December 2022 It is 3 C, cloudy  morning. Nowadays sun usually doesn't come out. I think he is on break. Enjoying his vacation. My deck is giving a very different look. Must be raining early morning. It is all wet. No garden chairs there. I think my son already moved it away to garage, till the next summer season. BBQ is under cover at the left side of my deck. No flowers. Grass is still lush green, thanks to the rain. It is so often nowadays. Some plants are still green. I see that, in between Skeleton trees. Weather is changing fast.  I talked to my daughter, in Edmonton, last night. She was clearing off sidewalk, with her son, while temperature was 30 C below zero. Edmonton is very cold. Snow doesn't go away for more than six months, over there. People have to use special shoes to go out, to get mail and to do such things. I feel lucky to be here in Toronto.   It is 8.30, Cloudy morning, it is 2 C below zero. Garden is quiet, no flowers. Grass still green. I see some yellowish patches in between. Some trees now changed into bare skeleton figures. Gold and Bronze leaves are scattered all over, displaying a beautiful scenic view. Every season is unique with it's own beauty. There is always something, to look around, to enjoy, to make your day. I am working today, have to get ready to go to play Darts. It is 9.30, I am leaving, will enjoy my time before Darts start at 10. Library is a bit quiet, not many people here. I am sitting on grey sofa, beside the fire place. This is my favorite spot. Fire is on, so cozy to enjoy your time. My daughter calling me from Kent, I messaged her, to call back, after 12. I will be home by 12.15 or so. There must be time for everything. I wont enjoy talking from here. Mostly I make calls, sitting in my room, while nothing else distracting my mind.
