Thought Of The Day

   June 27th 2023 Raining, since early morning. Nowadays we are getting rain every day. It is 10.15, I have to check my table calendar. I think my hair wash is due. At our age, we go on losing our hair, so after shower, you can imagine. I take couple of days break for my hair wash. Anyway, today I have to do that. I will color my hair too.  I love my table calendar. It reminds me for things to do. I jot down my routine things there. It is easy. No pressure to remember. Specially for, when to change bed sheets and to do my hair wash.  It is 12.30, still raining. I will make some calls. My walk is now on hold. My younger brother lives in Whitby, with his elder daughter. He is leaving today for Chicago, to be with his younger daughter. His wife is also going with him. I will call them to wish for a safe trip and to enjoy their time over there. We have to make calls / visits, to share people's special moments. They must be happy to see their other daughter.    It is 8.15, in the morning. I am at my deck, sitting on, one of the steel, red knitted garden chairs. Having honey and hot water drink. I take it first thing in the morning before having oatmeal porridge. Garden is in full bloom. This is summer time. Grass is lush green.  I noticed, on my right, is sitting, small grey rabbit. I am surprised, how come, he didn't hear the slam of my patio door. I just came out, closing the doors behind. He is having his breakfast too. Busy, enjoying the grass of my garden. I think, all creatures become familiar, get relaxed. They need some time, to gain trust and confidence, like we humans. Red single rose is smiling in front. Couple of David Austin peach color roses looking beautiful too. Canadian pink rose plant is fully loaded with flowers. So many are there, adding color to my garden. Air is scented. Aroma of variety of flowers, is all around. My friend, the Black squirrel is busy with his exercises on the wooden fence of my garden....

First week of August already started. It is Tuesday, the second. Bright, cool, breezy morning, 18 C. I am feeling great, enjoying on my deck.  Brick red planters  lined up by the side, are fully loaded with Deep Orange, Red and Violet flowers. They all are adding up beauty of  my garden.  Pinkish Purple flowers are smiling in two white planters on the back. Small Brown Rabbit sitting quietly. I think, he is also enjoying the scenery. Black Squirrel is having his snacks. He is already done with his exercises. For couple of days, I was, enjoying my daughter's company. She came on Saturday evening. It was a long flight of seven hours from Heathrow to Pearson, from London to Toronto. After landing, passengers were getting down in a batch of fifty, for immigration purpose.   It is Friday, 8.15 in the morning, I am done with my breakfast. I have to go early today to my work, Darts will start at 9.30. My friend will pick me up 10 after 9. It is school holidays so summer camp is on, in our library premises. Some adjustments are made because of that, so our timings on Fridays, are bit early. We have to make our day, take whatever is there.  Weather is better, not so hot like couple of days back, still 27 C, feels like 30. July is nearly done, couple of more weeks to go for summer. From mid August, things will change. Temperature will be getting down and in September, will be a total different scenario. We have to dig our closets to take out our winter clothing. Sweaters, gloves and woolen stoles. Jackets and winter coats are hanging in our coat closet, so nothing to worry about that. It is 5 after 9, I am ready, all set to go, walking on my driveway, enjoying the view of my garden and of my neighborhood around. Sun is in full bloom, giving smile fro...

  Beautiful morning, one more day, one more cash credit of 24 hours. Be happy and grateful. Enjoy, I think we have enough to spend. Divide your time into slots, to get variety of things to do. It will add up color, to make your day. It is 8.45, I am making my breakfast, my oatmeal porridge, stir fry egg and my morning cup of tea. I will have my breakfast in my eat in kitchen and enjoy my tea in my back garden. I have to share the beautiful smile of Roses and Dahlia.   It is one of another hot humid days of July, 9.45, in the morning. I am busy with my breakfast, enjoying my oatmeal porridge, stir fried egg and my morning cup of tea. I am sitting in my eat in kitchen, beside my patio door. From here, I am having a clear view of my back garden.  There is lot of activity going on, in my garden. Couple of birds having chit chat, also talking and whispering to flowers. I think  sharing jokes. I can see  the Red and the Peach color Roses, David Austin,  started smiling. The small  Brown Rabbit is sitting beside, enjoying too. I think, He is part of their group.  I am enjoying everything. What a beautiful start of my day. Today no car, so no lake trip for me.   Beautiful mixed sunny cloudy morning. It was rain last night. My back garden looking great, after having shower. I can see on the deck, looks, it is  still drizzling. Newly planted plants in my flower bed, started flourishing. Especially the pink Canadian Rose is loaded with beautiful Pink flowers.  David Austin, the one my youngest daughter suggested, also looking great, with Peach color buds, ready to burst out, any time soon. Red color, English Rose, looks slow, but is in stable condition. I think, taking time, to settle down. We planted some vegetables and Herbs, on the left side. Mint is flourishing. Tomato, I think is done. Finished. Salad is slow.  I think, the Brown Rabbit is snacking from our Veggie plants. We found him red handed. He ran away, as soon as we opened our patio door.   It is 8.30 in the morning. Weather is great after couple of cloudy cold days. I am walking around on my deck. My garden looking beautiful with lush green grass. The newly planted flower Bed is looking beautiful. Red rose on the left, Yellow and Pink, in the center and in between, variety of flowers are there to fill the space. Everything looking great on the Brick Red color of freshly spread    Mulch.  Our new silver color BBQ is shining on the Deck. Such a beautiful atmosphere to behold, to start my day. Last night my sleep was better, after couple of disturbed nights. Things start happening at our age. We have to take it, whatever is there and try to make adjustments with the things around. Have to keep in mind that everyone must be sleeping, so not to disturb anyone in our household. Start reading anything of your interest. Watch your favorite show or anything you like to watch on your computer / tablet. I switch my computer on, to pass my time. It works for me....

  Sunny bright beautiful morning. It is 25 C, feels like 30. Hot humid day ahead. Chances of thunder storm, will be hot feel like 36 C, later in the afternoon. Time to change of clothes. All jackets, gloves, stoles are going back to closet. Have to look for light shirts and tops, from under, somewhere in my suit case. Our AC is switched on, to 24 C, from the last week. 24 is fine, not too hot, not too cold, works for everyone, not for me. Sometimes, I have to use fan on top, that works for me. We have to make adjustments, while living with family. Nothing is total plus. Being eldest, we have to give extra share. Have to do more, to contribute in the household, to make the atmosphere peaceful, to live in, for everyone.   Yesterday I got some comments, after long time. Comments are like letters from you, my Dear Readers. Give me power to write my Blogs. After going through your comments, I am asking myself, " I  am able to make any change in the Lives of my Readers " ? Answer is, " No ". All is the same.  Indian people, in the Retiree Group, are the same. They  succeeded with their fundraising but  didn't let the  Hijab lady friends to do that. They made sure to stop them from  fundraising.  They keep on  exploiting things, twisting facts, to achieve whatever, they want. I am not happy with the attitude of Indian people. This is selfish approach, I believe. The retired Priest also is the same.   Beautiful morning, shining day. Sun is out of the hazy, misty skies. Brown Rabbit is back, he must be gone for his vaccination, day before. Red birds not here. They come once a while to my bird feeder. I think, they are watching their calories. Black Squirrel is here, enjoying his morning walk. Such a beautiful scenic view, more than enough to make my day.  I am done with my breakfast. It is 9.45, now I am in my room, with my computer. All set, ready to connect with my loved ones, with my family and friends. Pink  flowers giving me smile from the top of Magnolia tree. Not many flowers left there. Just couple of weeks back, the tree was full of flowers.  Flowers are now losing ground. They know, they are done, have to leave the space to give the floor to leaves to flourish, to fill the space.   It is 9.30 in the morning. Sun shining in full bloom. Cold, cloudy mornings, I think are gone or taking a break. It is Canada my dear, I still have to take my light jacket and woolen stole, while going to lake, in mid May. We have variety of jackets, stoles, gloves and caps in our closet, for all seasons.  I feel lucky, living here in Toronto, while my daughter in Edmonton has to deal with 50 C below zero. She has to use special boots and  special tires for her car.  Winter is very long, nearly seven to eight months over there. N ot easy to handle the bulk of snow. Not possible to remove right away so snow removal is not so frequent as here in Toronto.  We Humans are amazing, learn our lessons to adjust and enjoy with whatever is available.   It is 9.15, beautiful morning, Sun is awake too, shining magnificently on the clear blue sky. There is so much activity going on, in my back garden. Couple of Black birds are busy with their breakfast on my lush green lawn. Having chit chat and are walking around. My friend, the Black Squirrel is here too, busy with his morning exercises on the wooden fence. This fence is like a Gym for him. My steel garden furniture looks great, especially the newly purchased Brick Red chair from Walmart, is shining on my Deck. Beautiful view to behold, to start my day. Brown Rabbit is not here, May be, he is still in bed or getting ready. Two red birds, the Northern Cardinals, not here. They come once a while. May be they have other activities, to get busy. It is good to manage your day like a day tight compartment. Not to leave any space for negative thoughts to enter. Beautiful morning, after many mixed cloudy mornings,  sun is in full bloom.  It is 9.15, I am enjoying my breakfast, sitting in my eat in kitchen. This is  my favorite place,  from here I can see the view of my back garden. Small brown Rabbit is having his morning treats, on my lush green lawn.  Two small Red birds, the Northern Cardinals are here, in my bird feeder. I was worried, missing them for couple of days. They must be busy with something else or following stay home Directives, after Covid tests, now back.  Small black birds are also here. They are our regular visitors. I see them most of the times in my garden. I think, they live nearby, rented their apartments somewhere, in the tall trees of my garden.  This Covid thing changed our lives. No visits, no gatherings, no travel, just stay home and walk around for exercise. We are living in a different world, have to follow all the Directives. It is not easy to handle this new life style....

I am having my breakfast, in eat - in kitchen, next to my patio door, from here I can have the view of my back garden. The view of my Bird feeders, to check the visitors in my garden. The Red Cardinals, the Brown Rabbit and my friend, the Black Squirrel.  My TV is on, News Channel displaying Covid updates. The number of cases. How many positive, how many in hospitals, in ICU and so on. Things not getting better even after Vaccinations. Variants are now making a mess. We have to be careful. Have to follow the Directives. Have to keep social distancing and have to use Masks whenever required. This is for everyone safety and for our own safety too. I think there is nothing total plus or total minus.
