Try to Spend Time with Your Own Self

Friday -- Beautiful hot sunny morning 25 C, will be 32 later in the evening. It is 10.15, I was up late in the morning. We Humans are not Robots.  Our  time table fluctuates, depending on so many factors around. Factors can be outside the jurisdiction of our body and also, may be due  to our  internal issues, related to our own mind and body. Anything can  flip  our routine schedule.  Internal matters related to our body takes time to repair, to bring back our schedule but matters related to our mind, are disastrous. The repair  depends on the intensity of the issue, but sometimes minute one is enough  to trigger our mental peace.  Our Brain is a very complicated piece of machinery. It controls our physical  activities and also maintains our emotional  equilibrium.  Anything can  disrupt it's peaceful working and shatters our  harmony.   Brain controls all of our mind and body activities. Sets the direction for us,   how to deal  with our day t

Thursday -- Bright beautiful morning not so hot as couple of days before, 22 C now, will be 30 later. It is 9.45, I was up early, done with my breakfast, enjoying my morning tea in my room. My computer is on, my window  curtains drawn down. I do it to make my room cozy. Today I have to change my bed sheets. Doing laundry my towels and bed sheets  are in Dryer. I checked my table calendar, I have to wash my hair too. I don't wash every day. Not enough hair left. My daughter, the middle one called me from Grimsby. She was talking  about the trip of her sisters.Talking about the places, where they were  together. It looked they enjoyed  every bit of their trip.  Both of her sisters left  in the morning, must be on the road, going back  to  London.  I called one of my daughter, I was sure not driving. She called  me back  on speaker. We three had chit chat. They were at Leicester,  for stop over. Leicester is two hours away from London. It will take t

Wednesday -- Bright beautiful hot sunny morning 26 C now, will be 32 later. It is 10.15, I am done with my breakfast, enjoying my morning tea in my room. My computer is on. I am going through the messages of my daughters. It is their last day at Grimsby at their sister's place, to enjoy their time  together. They keep on sharing pictures and messages, to get me involved.  I keep on asking them, not to worry about me, enjoy your own time.  But I feel good,  enjoying my time,  out of their posts.  We parents get  peace and happiness, feel relaxed, while our kids getting  along, having time together and enjoy. We  don't feel any pressure, while  talking  to any of our kid. I have couple of my friends, their kids don't get along, they have to censor  their talks. They make sure not to  talk about their siblings. Their kids get  offended, they don't want to hear about other ones. Kids think, parents taking sides, admiring the other one. P

Tuesday -- Bright beautiful sunny morning. Not so hot, yesterday was 41 C, today 25 C, will be 31 later. Last night was rain. Everything looking great  after shower. Beautiful view, to behold at my back garden. It is 9.30, I am done with my breakfast. I was up early, exchanged messages  with my daughters. They posted me their pictures too.Two of my daughters  are in  Grimsby, at their sister's place,  enjoying their time together.  They were at Freshney shopping mall. It reminded me my moments.  It was  last year, I was with them, enjoying their company at the same spot.  It is  already afternoon at their place in England.  They will be leaving day after for their homes, back to Reading and Kent. I was happy to see them smiling, enjoying their moments.Time flies.  We don't have to wait, just drain happiness as much as you can from  the  moments in hand.   Value the moments with your loved ones around. These moments never  lost,  always safe, loc

Monday -- Bright beautiful hot sunny morning 37 C now, will be 41 later. It is 10.15, I am in my room enjoying my morning tea. My computer is on, my youngest daughter just called.  She is in Grimsby, visiting her sister. My other daughter, who lives in Kent  also joined the trip. She had to take trains from Kent to Victoria after that  another train to  Paddington. Their meeting point was at Slough station.  She was in trains for two hours now will be in car with her sister for five  more hours to her final destination to Grimsby.  They will stay for  couple  of days at their sister's place in Grimsby. You don't mind taking extra miles  for your loved ones. They gave me  a video call. I was happy to see three of my daughters having  time together.  Rare moments  to  enjoy to cherish.  They were talking to me,  I cut it down, asked them, to  enjoy their own time.  My daughter sent me the video of her sisters getting down from the car. Sunday -- Beautiful sunny hot morning 25 C, will be 40 later in the  evening. 40 C in Toronto. It is fine, we know these are last few weeks  of  summer, to get out, to go outdoors. People are enjoying, busy with  fishing,  kayaking,  cycling  and having picnics with friends and families. From mid August things will change and in September, we have  to sort  out  our coat closet. Winter will be around the corner. Anyway, we are ready  in Canada, just bring it on. It is 9.15, I was up early, not complaining for my sleep. We Humans are  not  Robots. We keep on changing our time tables. All depends on our  state  of  mind.  We are full of emotions, full of sentiments.  Anything can disrupt  our  schedule. My younger brother lives with her daughter's family, in Whitby. They are going for some day long trip. He and  his wife not going with their daughter.  Too tiring for them. It is four hours drive. He asked me to come to his place.  I will go ther

Saturday -- Beautiful hot sunny morning 31 C now, will be 34 later. I don't care it is rain or shine, snowing or burning hot day. I start my  Blog, writing  with  beautiful morning.  I believe mornings set the direction of our day, of h ow we take the events  of our day to day routine matters. We have to print positive messages,  especially in  mornings. These messages will be  faxed to our brain for  processing. Our brain works like a powerhouse. It transmits our messages into signals to our mind. Our mind takes charge to direct our body into the direction,  which are already set through our messages. We can decide the direction of our actions, of our thoughts. Think twice  before  you speak. Be extra careful before writing. This will be like an order.  O ur messages will be like blot, like print matter. Our brain always takes it  very seriously.  Think positive to lead a life, full of happiness. Live and let live happily  others too. Forget and

Friday -- Beautiful hot sunny morning 30 C now, will be 34 later. It is 10.30, I am done with my breakfast, with my oatmeal porridge and stir fried egg.  Enjoying my morning tea, sitting in TV lounge. TV is on, they are talking about Covid things, the daily cases and about  what to be  opened in the next phase. I am listening all that and enjoying  the scenic  view  of my back garden too.  I can't see my friend the Black Squirrel, might be in bed. It is early anyway. Couple of birds walking around, enjoying their morning walk. My friend,  the White Butterfly is enjoying her time in the flower bed, on the back. Flowers of all colors, purple, yellow, red, blue and white, looking great, smiling, making the atmosphere full of joy and happiness. Red wooden  bench shining  on the left,  near the pear tree. Last night my sleep was not good. At our age, things start happening.  Don't  have to take it seriously. What to expect from more than half a

Thursday -- It is 9.30, beautiful mixed sunny cloudy morning 27 C now,  will be 33 later in the afternoon. I am sitting in my room enjoying my cup  of tea.  My computer is on. My window blinds not drawn.  Sun is hiding somewhere, may be getting ready to get out.  My neighborhood  is quiet, cars are sitting idle on driveways,  I think  relaxing.  I am going through my Facebook messages.  Nothing much there.  None of my friends are computer person except one of my childhood grade  five friend. She lives in Perth, in a very different time zone than mine,  in  Toronto. She lives at the other side of the world.  It is evening there. We are t wenty four hours apart still connected. She  writes to me every day. It is sort  of blessing to have people of your own age.  They can relate to, what you say.  What you express, you communicate.  My front garden is quiet. No birds, no Black Squirrel. May be they  are  enjoying somewhere down at the lake. Red woode

Wednesday -- Beautiful mixed sunny cloudy morning 23 C now, will be  34 later. Rain is on the way. It is 10.15, I am sitting in my room with my  computer on. One of my window curtain is drawn. I left open the other one, to connect with the world outside. It is important, not to close doors, to keep track with what is going on around. It acts like breeze for our inner self.  Keeps us to move on, on the right track. Helps to stay away from thinking  negative. Never close door from the world around you. Leave a slit open, to let the fresh air enter, to refresh your mind and your soul. I am browsing Facebook messages from my friends and family also  enjoying  the view of my front garden. Red wooden bench looking  beautiful  on the side of lush green grass. Black Squirrel is looking for something under the Magnolia tree,  on  the left.  Couple of birds enjoying their morning walk and having  chit chat.  Red flowers smiling from across.   Pink Peonies

Tuesday -- Beautiful mixed sunny cloudy morning, not so hot 24 C,  will  be  31 later in the evening. Just days back, was 41. It is 10.15,  I am  sitting in the TV lounge.  Old show of my time, "Andy Griffith"  is on. I watched that so many  times, still enjoying.  I think we like,  what we can relate. My cell phone just popped up, my daughters want to talk to me.They all  joined to make a group call. I have to go upstairs to my room. My son is working, I don't want to disturb him. I am happy to see them, as Camera is on too. They don't do that all the time. My daughter, the middle one, who lives in Grimsby, got her results.  She is done with her six years long struggle period. To carry on your education with family around, not easy. One of her  daughter is Autistic, that adds up, things to tackle. Grimsby is small  town. Commuting is easy so people have time for  social activities. With your family, you have to be part of the so

Monday -- Beautiful morning 24 C, feels like 29, will be 33 later. This "Feel  like",  is an integral part of weather report, here in Canada. Yesterday was  busy  day for me as my eldest grandson, the Lucky Guy's friend was here  at our  place. They came together from London.  My grandson was in London for the weekend. He rented house there,  shared  with three of his friends. They all are in Western Uni.  I was busy  in my kitchen to make things for them.  We have to value the people around  our loved ones. It helps to flourish  peace, and harmony in the household, we live in. M aintaining peaceful  atmosphere in the house, is a joint project. Everyone has to contribute,  has to pitch in. Yesterday was a beautiful day. Overcast, drizzling all day. We had to switch  on lights in the middle of the day. Very different scenario indeed. I was at Petticoat Creek at that time, when the whole transformation was taking  place.  Sun was in full

We Canadians Learned Our Lessons

Sunday --- Bright beautiful sunny Morning 29 C, will be 41 later   in  the  afternoon. 41 C in Canada, unbelievable. Weather Channel showing  rain and wind warning gusts of around 60 km. Tornado warning too, at some places.  But it wont change the temperature.  It is fine, these  are last couple of weeks of summer. We can handle  plus  40 C and  40 below  zero will also not be, a problem for we Canadians.  We learned our lessons, how to survive and enjoy. I think we are now  sort  of  weather proof. Nothing really matters, we are capable of making  adjustments. It is 11.45, I am at Petticoat Creek. Lots of people are around, enjoying  their time.  Some having picnics with families. Some busy, swimming,  kayaking,  fishing, cycling and some walking with their dogs. Water looking great. Ducks sailing on the deep blue surface of water,  enjoying with their families. It is a festive  atmosphere to behold.  I am walking around to enjoy and to  top

Saturday -- Bright beautiful hot morning 32 C now, will be 39 later in the evening. Summer is short here in Canada but it feels like a real summer. AC is on, sun is in full bloom. Sometimes rain is there but not enough to  cool us down.  April showers, May flowers. I think the rainy season is already done.  Now  just a drizzle once a while to make our day. We know, these are last  few weeks of summer so no complaints.  From mid of August, things will be different. From September onward, we have to be ready to face the snow. We are ready for whatever will be there. For now we are enjoying summer, our moments in hand. It is 9. 15, I am in my bedroom, busy with my stretch exercises. Last night  my sleep was not good.Things start happening at our age. Don't take it  serious. This is like, old age saga.  A ccept whatever is there, try to face  with grace. Every stage of cycle  of life,  is unique with it's own beauty. Nothing is total plus.Throu

Friday -- Beautiful bright hot sunny morning 25 C now, will be 33 later in the evening. Yesterday was raining but not enough, just a drizzle. It is 10.15, I am done with my breakfast, enjoying morning tea, sitting in  my TV lounge. News Channel is on, I am watching that and also enjoying the beautiful  scenic view of my back garden. Black Squirrel is busy with his workouts on the wooden fence. He takes it like his Gym. White Butterfly is enjoying, busy with her singing and dancing in the  flower bed , on the back. Wild flowers, of all the colors, red, yellow, purple,  white,  all looking great, adding up the beauty , to behold,  to cherish.  Couple of birds enjoying their morning walk also having chit chat under  the pear tree, on the left. Scenes go on changing, like video clips.  Looks like  a  theater.  I am  enjoying everything, the performances and the scenes too.  More than enough to make my day. It is 10.45, I am in my room,  with  my

Thursday -- Beautiful mixed sunny  cloudy  morning. It is 30 C now,  will  be  33 later in the evening. Rain is in the forecast, will start at 11,  and be raining throughout the day.  Weather Channel  is  like  a doctrine for  we Canadians  and  to talk about weather is our favorite past time. We switch it on, first thing in the morning, to go through, to follow  and incorporate it's guidelines. Make our plans and  figure out our  coats/jackets for the day. We are not scared of weather. Plan and enjoy  our weather permitted  activities,  to make  our day. Have to dress up accordingly, to cope up  the  weather  and that's it. It could be plus /minus twenty to thirty degrees in our day temperatures.  Might be plus  30 C or 30 below zero. We are ready all the time.  It doesn't  matter,  we are use to all that.  Ready to accept whatever  is there. I remember we were at our senior club  to play Darts and Carpet  Bowling, while there was blowi

Plans to be reported to Head Office

Wednesday -- Beautiful sunny morning 25 C, will be 33 later in the evening. Yesterday was busy day for me. I make my day plans before hand, and  follow that religiously.  I take it like of some office work, which I  have  to report to my  head office.  I believe for we retired seniors, to formulate our day plans, is key, to give  direction, to move forward with of our lives. Life is the same for everyone. It is we, who have to put colors into our day  to day life.To insert something, to make it wonderful, to look forward with motivation and strength, to enjoy your routine moments.   Yesterday, I checked my table calendar and decided to color my hair.  Already two weeks passed so I have to do it again. I have to change my  bed sheets, it means I have to do two loads of laundry.  One of my bed sheets and the other for my daily clothes. I do it every week,  some are piled up, I have to do that, to clear the mess. My other routine  things will be the

Tuesday -- Bright beautiful hot sunny morning 25 C, will be 31 later  in  the  evening. It is 10.30, I am done with my breakfast and with my chores, downstairs . Watching News, enjoying my back garden scenic view and emptying the dishwasher. Time now, to be in my room with my computer, and to talk to my  daughters.  My youngest  daughter called me and then added all her  sisters.  We had  a brief talk,  just to connect.  It is already afternoon at their place. They were busy with their own family  things. We parents have to be reasonable. It is not fair to put them on  spot,  so for them, no choice but to say "No", to our demands and wish list.  England is in different time zone, five hours ahead than time in Toronto. My eldest daughter lives in Edmonton, in another part of Canada, seven  hours behind the time in England. It will be early for her, talk to her  later. While making calls, we have to keep in mind, the time and also the situa

Yesterday was rain, not much but was enough to make  a difference. To bring it down from 34 C to 29.  It is 10.30, I am in my room. My computer is on. Sun is in full bloom.  My window blinds are  drawn. Still left a slit open, to connect with the  world  outside. To enjoy  the beautiful view of my front garden. It is 10.45, my son going to lake, I am getting ready to go with him. We have to avail  any chance to get out, to change the scenery. I am at  the  Frenchman's Bay. Water looking great, sparkling under the sun. Ducks enjoying with their families on my right, on the grass. Swans are in the water, enjoying their journey. I can see small boats too. Couple  of people are busy with kayaking.  I am enjoying my time under the big tree. It is beautiful, I can feel the  breeze  down to my body, sort of meditation. We can spend hours here,  so quiet,  so  peaceful

Alarm Clock VS Bio Clock

Image
Friday -- Beautiful bright sunny hot morning 34 C, will be 39 later.  Chances of rain at night. Let's see. We trust our weather channel but  sometimes it ditches too. Anyway, this is our favorite pass time, here  in Canada, to talk  about weather. I think, it is good, sort of following "See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil". Talk about weather is a safe guideline. It is 9.30, I am up early. For a  change my sleep was not so good but you can't say it was bad. My daughter in law had to go for some sort of eye surgery.  It is a simple  procedure still,  I wanted, to be awake to see her off. We have to share such  moments, which matter a lot to the people around you. She has to leave at 9 am. I never use my alarm clock. But my Bio clock  never  goes wrong. It is not accurate, there is too much malfunctioning.  It use  to wake me up hours before the event.  It might be anything, my early morning flights or anything else. But I am

Wednesday -- Bright beautiful sunny morning 34 C now, will be 39 later.  Another hot day. I will water my garden for sure, in the evening. Last night  my sleep was not good so I started my day, a bit late. What you expect, at our age such things start happening, not a big deal. Every stage of our cycle of life has it's own beauty with all of it's plus and  minuses. Nothing is total plus, there is always something attached, that  we have to accept. Just take it and try to face with grace. Old age is like any other stage of cycle of life. Don't take it like some  scary period of your life. It has it's own beauty. Glass is not half empty,  it is  half full, my Friends.  There is always something positive, we have to look for that, to make  our day. It is the way, we look at things. Just change your attitude and things  will look fine, nothing will go wrong.  Life is the same for everyone. It is like an unpaved path, we have to walk  throu

Be Kind to Your Body to Make Your Day

Image
Tuesday -- Beautiful sunny hot morning with 30 C now, will be 39 later  in  the evening. I keep myself busy in watering my garden beside kitchen,  going to lake and also being with my computer.  My mornings start with 5 minutes stretch exercises, to give wake up call  to my body.To streamline itself. To be ready, to face the day and to tackle  the  unseen events ahead.  Every day brings some extra baggage beside the daily routine matters.  Most of the times, everything is the same but we are not feeling the same.  We have to go extra miles to tackle  our mood swings.  Sometimes it is the weather. But most of the times is, our expectations.  Expectations from  our friends and family. So many things are there  to add up the  pressure, the extra work load for our mind and body. Keeping all that in mind, w e have to start our mornings with a positive  note. Be kind and try to listen to your body.  Give some treats, hot cup  of  tea/coffee, nice breakfa

Accept the Hot Days and the Snow Too

Image
Monday -- Beautiful sunny morning 28 C now, will be 34 later. Another  hot day. Rain will be on Saturday, this is what  Weather channel says.  We know,  this is  the last month for hot days here in Canada. From August, it will start to cool down a bit and in September, we have  to  start  sorting out our jackets. Light, heavy, long, hooded one and so on.  I also have to  keep ready my favorite maroon sweater. I try to avoid to use heavy coats and jackets. At my age, not easy to handle  heavy things.  I use sweaters under my jacket in cold days, but while it is  snowing, it wont work. Anyway, we have to deal with whatever is there. In burning hot days, we can not even imagine that we are going to use all  these stuff from our coat closet, in just few weeks after. Change is the  beauty of life, so is weather. This is part of our life. It opens up chapters of not only the life of we Humans, but the lives of other  creatures too.  Provides us various aspe
