To My Readers Family In my Blog  "Driving Seat"  I mentioned about my raking of leaves  it gave lots of stir in my Readers Family Please keep in mind no one is pushing me to do anything I am happy that no one is stopping me from doing anything which I like to do and I want to do to have fun and to give color to my Day to day Life It was 8 at n ight my eldest grandson had a hockey game at Don Bear Arena  I was done with my dinner enjoying my hot cup of tea and getting ready to get out It was 6 degrees below zero I can't resist going out if I had any chance I don't care where I avail any chance which in my opinion is a signal from God to get out and to defy my age As I mentioned in my earlier Blog that age is a number don't go with that I am sitting now in Hockey Arena moving around and having a feel of the buzzing atmosphere the young happy faces the music around  To be with my family in such

To my Dear Readers Linda and Dave who asked me   to write about the stress  and anxiety we have to deal due to our advancement in the field of Technology I am sitting in my cozy bedroom beside my computer on and going through the comments from my  Readers Family  On my face book reading Messages from my childhood  school friend who now lives in Sydney Australia  Messages from my daughters who live in Europe 8 hours  air travel  from Toronto  I am enjoying everything getting all the happiness from around  the world just sitting on my comfortable chair with my hot Cup of tea  Time to time I also have a look from my window to enjoy the beauty of Nature  I have so many windows all open to enjoy my time and get entertained When I compare my Life with that of my Mom more than half a century  back with no internet no TV it looked she was totally cut off  from th e world outside Now the question  was she missing anything

To My Young Readers whom I trust they love their Parents When we grow older our children are in driving seat we can do our things still sometimes need a push My dear children it will be great if you just let us know that you are there for us it will make a   big difference You don't have to hold our hands in our walk to our old age retirement days Life trail Just show us the Direction  when we get puzzled and start losing track I am 70 plus with long time Osteoporosis and Arthritis I am doing it because my son gives me a push I don't have any grocery list of mine as I live with my son I share whatever there more than enough for me I love to go to do grocery for my family it gives me opportunity to have a feel that I am not retired I am still in enough to defy my age Same thing while doing laundry changing bed sheets and helping in kitchen cooking for my family Last week I was raking leaves  with my son it was am

It is 9.30 morning  4 degrees below Zero in Toronto  I am sitting in the library for a while as my Darts start at 10 am  I am sitting by the fire place it is so cozy I am enjoying the warmth and glow of burning logs my sofa is like my home Mostly I take this seat whenever I have chance I am going to this place for years so most of the staff know me We exchange Hello hugs and smile whatever is the situation what a beautiful start of my Day 10 am I will go to the next room to do the numbers to make teams for Darts game After Darts at 12 Noon I will be back in the library to do my things till 1 pm then carpet bowling will start I will be busy till 3 pm After 3 pm when I be home my grand kids will be back from school I will be busy with them My evenings are   busy with my Family Dinner preparation with my daughter in law At Dinner time I feel happy I am eating not alone I am enjoying with my family I am thankful

It is Tuesday morning so beautiful from my bedroom window all white dust first snow in Toronto like an untouched beauty Kids getting ready for school I have to chalk out my day plan as my Senior Club is off today I will do my hair color change my bed sheets and do laundry Washer and Dryer are in the basement so it will be 3 stairs to go after that go for grocery with my daughter in law This will give me opportunity to get out in the evening I have to go to some community gathering  too at someone place I love to live in day tight compartment our age is just a number don't go with that we have to push ourselves to keep our body going Every moment is precious as it will be lost for ever we have to drain happiness and make use of it We are lucky that we can move around don't take your health as granted we never know God forbid if we start losing it Thank God Almighty for everything we have

To My Retiree Friends and Seniors like me When I think back about My  Parents I feel they were very strong I believe every Parent is like that  When we grow older our body becomes weak but all the great experience of coping with Life is on our Resume  We tackled all the difficult Moments in our Life with patience and grace I don't believe Retirement is like a contagious disease and old age is like a Waiting Area where we have to wait for our last train  Train to go to leave to depart cut all our strings from our family and friends I believe every Parent is living and enjoying a much better  life than parents of Era before I still remember half a century back my Mom cooking on one gasoline stove for family of seven then it was my turn  I was cooking with two gas burners had my black and white TV and my education my family and work life Nearly half a century after my children are Parents with all the High Tec

Today is one degree in Toronto light flurries are on their way it is end of November so how long can be Summer and how late winter can be  We are more than ready to welcome and embrace our cold and snow just bring it on  Now no more outdoor walking to my favorite spot Tim Hortons My apologies to all my Retiree  friends for my Blog Intruder It is a bitter tablet to swallow but unfortunately it is a hard fact not a fiction it is reality we have to accept with open Heart and clear Mind Our children graciously never let us know but think about it Now I continue my Blog  I am sitting in Don Bear Hockey Arena my eldest grandson is coaching PV team my youngest grandson is playing in that team game will be in Rink # 1 For me a Grandma such a unique opportunity to watch and enjoy I avail every opportunity to get out They had to leave the house at 11 am  for their game to be started at 11.45 I had shower before 10 am not to miss

My Apologies to all my senior friends specially the Retirees like myself for My Blog Intruder Now My Today's Blog Every 3rd Thursday at My Senior Club is Pot Luck and once a year it is at some nice Restaurant  it was 3rd Thursday and Restaurant one It is 12 Noon I am sitting in Manderine Chinese Restaurant enjoying the Buffet with variety of food lots of salad main dishes and dessert choices Every Thursday is indoor Golf at our club people were not interested after such a good food I take every opportunity to get out so went to Library for golfing If we keep our body busy it will be easy to tackle our Mind easy to direct in positive Mode  Just deal your body keep it busy in whatever activity you can as I mentioned in my earlier Blogs Just do Bird Watching in your backyard though our body is not moving still we are busy in doing something Don't forget to give Treats to yourself whenever you are able to keep yoursel

To all my Retiree friends of Readers Family who live with their family like me Whenever I visit my daughters which I do every year as 3 of my 4 daughters live in London England they make sure to do everything to keep me happy  But I always consider myself as an intruder in their house I think it is not fair to them to share everything like their space they lived in their time which my daughter used to give them before my entry It is not fair that just because I am your Mom I am here to enjoy and to  get entertained Think about that we raised them some 40 years back and we want our pay back they didn't ask for that it was othe r way round We opted to be their parents we were privileged to have them and got all the happiness out of their childhood They were blamed for all the problems we faced to brought them up like being tired to work hard to earn money It was not their choice this was all of our ambitious pl

It was the year 1993 when all of my four daughters were married and gone one to Ireland two to England and one to Canada I being retired single Mom left with my only son sitting in nearly my empty Nest at that time I made a promise to myself To keep myself busy and never will try to be one who is always waiting for phone calls from kids and to complain about I will try not to make them sick of me and wont make them tired from myself I am so happy for keeping this promise to me I started to volunteer in Oxfam -- Red Cross in Immigration Center in Universities and even in Toronto Zoo  It was lik e still working not retired believe me it could not be possible without the help of God the Almighty Trust in God that he is there for you this trust will give you power to cope  give you strength to face the world always keep in mind we are never alone He is watching over us
