Now My Today's Blog


It is so beautiful when you see
green plants with various shades
of yellow and orange and reddish
orange leaves on top of the same tree

It is a bit windy shaking trees and also
giving a stir to the atmosphere
everything full of life as if not ready
to take a defeat out of this cold
weather which is trying hard
to intimidate everyone

All this giving strength and
courage to everyone giving
a push for not to surrender not
to give up be strong and face 
the day 

Happiness and sadness all are
contagious we have to be very
careful so are all other emotional
expressions like anger fear
jealousy and smile be very careful
with these too

If we show calmness
the whole scenery will be so
different full of peace which
is the seed of joy and happiness

    So true, when you are happy, the world seems like a wonderful place and the same world becomes so dull and boring when you are feeling blue....if you are around happy people, your dullness goes away so yes, emotions are contagious.

    Dear Madam Smile, I cannot even imagine that you will consider me worthy enough to write for me. I am just one of the small reader. I do 2 job. My English is so bad. I know sometimes I don't know what you really saying because you blog are so deep. Other knowlesgeable member of the family understand more than me. But I love you blog. I read them all time, every day. Sometimes I read more than one time a day to understand more. You are so generous. You are so kind. You treat everyone same.

    I have posted the blog on our corporate notice boards A and B. Also posted in the cafeteria. Newton, the cafeteria manager, was telling me that they have increased their business by at least 10% due to the blog. He asked me to thank Smile for that

      Newton should be giving a portion of his Sales to Smile :-) Just joking, I know it is a staff cafeteria so all the increased sales mean subsidies back to employees. So all of the employees will benefit as they will be paying less

    We sometimes go for morning walks after we have gone through your blog. This helps us to reinvigorate and replenish fresh air. However lately we have found that your blog provides both fresh air as well as invigoration, so there is less need for us to go out. Thank you for providing a dose of fresh writing every day

    What a great lady Smile is. She gives so much to her readers. Retirees have nothing better to do but to keep asking for advice. There are lots of people, me included, who keep asking to keep pumping out a fresh blog every day. She is getting requests for advise from Europe also. I am not going to be saying anything about her only son, the blighter and his cubs, makes me so upset

  January 12th 2024 It is around mid of January. Time for us to, start getting snow storms. This will be off an on, for the next couple of weeks. It is 10.15, mixed sunny cloudy morning, windy too. Gusts are 38 to 48 km.  Friday used to be my work day, not today. Kids day camp is going on in the library, at my work place. I am off for the whole week. I have to find my own things to do, to get busy. From Monday, things will be back on track. I will be having my regular work hours. It is 11.45, I am getting ready to walk to Tim Hortons. I take it as my second home. I know that it is cold and windy. I am all set with gloves, stole and three layers underneath my winter coat. I will be fine. Whites Road and walkway is, all clear of snow. I see some white patches of snow, by the side of road, under trees and bushes. This is the beauty of Toronto, snow cleared right away.   July 7th 2023 It is hot sunny morning, 9.15 and already 24 C, feel like 26. I woke up early, done with my breakfast. Talked to one of my daughters, my middle one, called me from Grimsby.  She was going home, done with her work. It was a brief talk. She was busy, picking up her son, on the way from school. My other daughters are still at work. They will call me later on. We talk everyday, not much, just to connect.  I am busy with my computer. No message from my childhood friend. She never skips, must be busy. She was at her son's place in Sydney, was planning to go back to Perth, to be with her daughter. She must be stuck, other matters to be resolved. Anyway we have to find our own, "Things to do", to get busy, to make our day. Don't have to wait for people's calls and messages. I am busy playing Scrabble and Card games on my computer. Computer is sort of Blessing for me. I don't know how my Mom used to pass her time without phone and computer. How come she

  June 13th 2023 Beautiful morning. Great weather. It was raining all day, yesterday. Stopped at late night. I was working, Mondays are my work days. Have to go to play Darts. It starts at 9.30 in mornings. We were thirteen all together. Picked our numbers to make teams. Two boards with four teams. Three players in each. One team was odd, I mean with four. Anyway we enjoyed. Thirteen seniors on a rainy day, out to play, to enjoy time together. Amazing at that age. Gives inner peace. Boosts will power with affirmation that we still can do it. Rain or no rain, nothing can stop, to make our day. I think, will is everything behind your motto. When there is a will, there is always a way to go ahead, to move on, to do what you want. Today is Tuesday, weather is great 18 C, a bit on a cooler side. I am off, not working on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Last week I booked my flight to England. My daughters were pushing me for that.
