Thought Of The Day

It is Monday morning bright sunny still cool with 17 C. Back garden  looking beautiful, I am not sitting there. I am sitting in the kitchen at the  back entrance. From here I can see the entire garden. Pink Roses are  giggling and are in  full bloom.  Pink and scarlet red Fuchsia are loaded with flowers. Pink Hydrangea  are bright pink in color. Couple of days rain changed their entire life. Grass looking much greener. White butterfly is happy to see all this. One of my Daughter's friend invited me for dinner tonight. Whole family  will go. I am scared of Father, while writing about dinners and party.  Father will   give more tough time to my friend Hannah.  My son calls me every day. Yesterday He forwarded my group photo, it was posted in the library on our Senior Club activities board. It was our BBQ  Club  Party picture. It reminded me of my Friends from my Senior Club. Couple of more weeks, I will be with them, playing Darts and Carpet  bow

It is Sunday cool morning 15 C, raining off and on since last couple of days. Plants looking very happy. I can see more flowers in my Daughter's back garden. Greens are more green, I mean more intense. Pink Roses more pink same is scarlet red Fuchsia.  Whole garden looking more beautiful than that of couple of days back. Rain is like shower of happiness for plants and happiness makes lots of difference in the lives of All Creatures no matter Big or Small. Happiness is contagious so I am happy too by all this change of scenery. I remember last week Hydrangea were sort of gloomy, with lost of their smile and color. Same case was with pink Roses and others now there is total changed scenario. It is windy and drizzling so I am not sitting in the garden, still enjoying the whole view sitting near the back entrance of the kitchen. From here  I wont miss anything. It is Saturday beautiful morning sunny with light drizzle. It is 10 am, 18 C just stopped raining, I am sitting in the back garden. It is beautiful bright sunny, not too hot, not too cold, just perfect with cool breeze. Garden giving  beautiful look after the morning shower.  Yesterday my Daughter had to go to Freshney Shopping Centre to get  uniform for her son. I try to avail any chance to get out to make my day. Train station is across the Shopping Centre. I stayed there for a while  and  walked around the shopping area. I love to go to Thrift Stores like Oxfam and all such shops. I can see the  things relate to past decades. The beautiful China crockery, the decoration pieces and  so many other stuff. It looks for a while that I am part of it,   living in that Era.  I picked one dark brown hand bag for myself from Oxfam for two pounds. Not too big, just perfect size  for me.  At our age, we can not handle big,  bulky and heavy things.  I donated

It is Friday morning sunny beautiful with 21 C, 90% chances of rain. weather is very pleasant for now since yesterday evening. It is 9 am,  I am sitting in the back garden. Pink roses giving me smile.  I am waiting for my friend the white butterfly. My oatmeal porridge  is on stove. I will have my breakfast here in the garden with Roses and  Fuchsia around. Yesterday was a busy day as my Daughter invited  couple  of her family friends. Kris Dear, I don't know why Father is confused about parties. I think he is  not confused, he is very selfish, wants to make Hannah life miserable, that's all. I already made it clear that when we invite more than twenty people,  we have to  order food from outside. Dear Retirees, I am not happy with Priest, why he is always after the Lady. Priests are sort of Messengers from God. Being Priest, he has to take care  of all of the Human Family, All the Creatures of God. I think he is unable to fulfill his duties.

It is Thursday very hot morning already 27 C no wind. Today my Daughter invited three families. All her friends total will be 20 people. She is busy with things for Dinner tonight.  I skipped taking my breakfast in the back garden. I quickly finished my  breakfast  to help her out, whatever I can. It is important to help people out,  when you see them under pressure. Sharing imparts great impact. It is sort of light in the tunnel. Sort of breather. I am sitting in the kitchen at my favorite spot near the back  entrance.  From here I can enjoy beauty of the back garden also busy participating in kitchen activities.  First we have to make ourselves comfortable and take away our own  pressure after that we will be in a better shape to help out others. I am  busy cutting veggies to be stir fried. Now cutting watermelon, red cubes  looking  so beautiful in the transparent glass bowl.  Dishes to be served have to be presentable beside taste. It is Wednesday sunny breezy, slightly cold morning.  Weather is like roller coaster nowadays. Yesterday was 30 plus  today is 16 C, Just  like our lives with ups and downs. Last night I didn't have good night sleep. It is our age nothing to worry  about  my Dear. We have to take it whatever is there. Face and handle  with  grace.  It is 9 am, I am having breakfast in my Daughter's back garden. I am sitting on the blue black garden chair. Rose pink and scarlet red   Fuchsia  flowers are on my either side. Pink rose is in full bloom, smiling  looks  ready to face the world, with full of life. Next to it, the other one is  somewhat dried out. I think it has to go now.  Time to leave, give space  to the two budding flowers. They are about to  bloom.  Our life is the same, so much being changed, day by day, which we  never  notice.  Now when I look in the mirror, I have to take my eyes away  quickly, then I think  why to worry about these petty mat

To all my Dear Readers Take a pot put some cooking oil put it on medium flame add chopped onion let it be golden Now add one whole  red chili, couple of whole black pepper half  tsp of cumin seeds Chopped tomatoes salt and red chili powder Cover the pot leave for 5 minutes  on medium flame Take couple of zucchini don't peel just  wash well Cut off the tip and end now chop it in any size put zucchini in the pot leave for 15 minutes on medium flame Stir, cover the pot You can also add boiled meat or chicken pieces in the pot mix with spoon add some more oil and sprinkle salt, black and red chili pepper cover the pot and lower the flame a bit not to minimum Leave for 10 more minutes When done it has to be juicy not completely dried off Enjoy with rice make sandwiches or make roll with bread of your choice

Yesterday was 30 plus.  Sky is clear blue still sun is not in full bloom. Weather is great. It is not windy, just a breeze. I went with my Daughter to drop my Youngest grandson to school. Summer  holidays will start from tomorrow so it was the last time for me to go with  him . I will go to pick him up too. We have to value the moments  in hand. It is Monday morning very hot, yesterday was 33 C, this morning already 29 C. It is 8.30, I am having breakfast in my Daughter's back garden. Same years old menu for my breakfast, oatmeal porridge and stir fried egg. Garden looking beautiful. Yesterday my Daughter was back from cottage.  She did pruning last evening. All the  dead leaves and dried out flowers are  gone  now. It looks revival of life.  White butterfly is here talking to pink  roses,  to make them giggle. I can hear pigeon from the tall tree of next door neighbor's back garden. I think, he lives there. He is sort of happy go lucky type personality. I see  him quite often walking around. It started drizzling, I just finished my breakfast, taking my steaming hot  cup  of tea inside. My Daughter went to drop her husband to hospital, he is working  today. Other car needs some servicing. My Dear " N " please don't feel low I love you It is Sunday cloudy with some sunny breaks. It is 8.30, I just finished my oatmeal porridge and stir fried egg. I am sitting in my Daughter's back  garden.  It is 16 C a bit cold. I am having my light, navy blue jacket on.  This is my favorite jacket , I got years back for 4 dollars from Thrift store  near my  library club in Pickering, Canada.  I am also wearing my light  green years old scarf.  White butterfly talking to flowers trying to make them smile, to brighten  their  day. It is a bit windy so I am now sitting in the kitchen. My Daughter  makes sure to put white garden chair for me near the fridge. From here I can see most of the back garden. I keep the kitchen back  door open so it is just like walk-in garden. There are so many flowers.  I know just  couple of them, like Roses, Fuchsia, Carnation, Daisy. But I don't know others, still I can figure out when they are happy a

It is Saturday morning bright sunny with 22 C it is 8.30, I am having breakfast in my Daughter's back garden., sitting by myself. Enjoying my  own company.  Having oatmeal porridge and stir fried egg with a cup of tea.  One pigeon  came to give me company. Flowers are smiling to spread happiness around. White butterfly came to add up the glamour. Such a scenic view to behold. My Daughter is away, she is in Lake District with her husband, enjoying  couple  of days over there. Two of her sons are here with me. One is in grade  7th,  I have to give  him breakfast. He is asking for Noodles.  In the evening I will take Him, I mean my Youngest to Peoples park, it is  15 minutes  walk. I will  ask one of his fried too to accompany. They both  will play  have good time  together. It is Friday sunny bright beautiful morning with 17 C Today My Daughter going with her husband for the weekend. Their friends paid for the package to spend couple of days at some resort in Lake district. They all are packed and will leave at 11 am. I will be staying with the  younger one who is in grade 7th. It will be nice one to one time with him.  I will take him to Peoples park tomorrow. He is going to school today. Yesterday I was with my Daughter at Denim and Sainsbury . My Daughter was busy with some home shopping, she selected two shirts for me. She knows what I like.   I insisted to pay from my pocket but she didn't listen.  She made payment  for my shirts. These things matter a lot when Kids do something for we parents. Father keep in mind I told you, nothing is one sided. We have to do things for our Kids too. It is Thursday bright sunny morning with 24 C, My Daughter is trying to get things back on track in the house. Cleaning Lady also there to help her out. This is always a challenge after the Big Party event. My Son in law's close friends booked two night stay in some resort in the Lake District.  They paid all expenses plus gave some cash too in the Gift Card. It is very nice of them.  My Daughter leaving tomorrow with her husband. She will be back on Sunday.  Friends also arranged to baby sit, for their son. He is in Grade 7th as I am  here I will take care of him. I believe that everything is give and take. My Daughter and her husband do the same with their friends. There is nothing one sided. It never works  for long term relationships. Father keep in mind that I also never had my 60th or 70th Birthdays. My son in law is an orthopedic surgeon and consultant, he can afford all this. It is Wednesday beautiful sunny morning with 19 C. At 8.40, my Daughter  drops her  son at school. It was 8.20, I have to be quick, go to washroom and change as I go with her to give company. We take breakfast after 9 am, when we come back. Today my Daughter  told me to have breakfast outside. We went to Morrison, but it wasn't looking nice. We decided to go to Premier Inn. It was 9.50 ponds per Head for hot menu, everything included. Lots of  options,  with tea / coffee, juices. It was great, we enjoyed. My Daughter  had photos  to cherish our memories. We were back around 11 am. My Daughter going with her husband to Freshney Market to do some shopping. I am going with them. I will  go to train station, which is just across. It is 12.45, I am sitting at platform # 1, a single carriage train just arrived at  platform # 2. There were couple of people before now everyone gone. It is so quiet here, very peaceful. To All My Dear Readers Take chicken pieces make cuts add yogurt couple of TBS Salt, and pepper Take a pot put some cooking oil add chopped onion leave it for a while on medium flame Don't make it brown, just yellowish  Add Garlic and Ginger paste cumin seeds and cinnamon Stir for awhile Now put the chicken pieces Cover the pot and leave on medium flame for 15 minutes check the chicken with knife tip if easily goes through  means it is done otherwise  leave for 15 more minutes Check the water also if lots of water make the flame a bit higher When done it has to be sort of  stir fried chicken Don't add any tomato or  red chili powder. It is different recipe. You can add couple of whole green chili or banana pepper whole. Enjoy with rice or with bread of your choice.

She wants to check out if there are some activities for me to enjoy like my own Senior's Club in Toronto. She also has to drop some books as donation. I checked the activities in  library brochure,  there was none of my interest. There was Tai chi for 2 ponds, Sewing,  tea party for 8 ponds, computer basic for 4 ponds,  many such things. After that I asked my Daughter to drop me at the Grimsby train station. I stayed there for a while then decided to go to Freshney Place, the shopping Centre. It is just 5 minutes walking distance from the station.  It is 12.30, I am sitting at Costa, having tea and fruit bun, freshly baked very tasty. My tea is in china tea pot and cup. It is Monday hot sunny beautiful morning very pleasant weather. It is 25 C, I am having tea with my Daughter in her back garden. After the big party, today is a sort of quiet and relaxing day. My Daughter  is busy with her  phone, making calls to family and friends, saying thanks  to everyone.  It is very important to acknowledge. Sometimes we have to take back seat and let others enjoy. People are  staying at Holiday inn. They are paying from their own pocket, my  Son in law invited them for the Dinner party. Everyone insisted to pay for their stay at the Hotel.We have to be  reasonable,   it works for healthy and lasting relationships in all  circumstances.  People are staying at Hotel, still my other two Daughters are here to help  out their sister  as some people might come home during day time. We will be ready and happy  to entertain them. Family binding is very complex, we have to keep in mind that anything one  sided never works. It is Saturday sunny beautiful morning with 24 C Today is the  Big Day. My Daughter from Croydon came very late at 2 am, it was nearly morning. There was a big accident so Motorway was  blocked for a while. My Youngest Daughter and her family left at 11.45 pm to sleep at Hotel. It is sort of bed and breakfast so they will come after 9.30 am. It is Friday sunny beautiful morning with 22 C very busy day as tomorrow  on Saturday will be house full. Everyone will be here for the Big Party. Yesterday my Youngest Daughter came from Reading with Family. I was with her in the Hotel for a while afterwards she came home with whole  family to see her Sister. They stayed till 11.30 night then left to sleep  in their  room at the Hotel. Today after having breakfast over there in the Hotel, everyone came home. Kids were enjoying with their own company. It is one and a half hour away from Grimsby.  They have to get things for 14th July event. Grimsby is an smaller town. There is only one Shopping Centre, Freshney. I am staying home. My Youngest  will be coming from school at 3.30. It is Monday, I am in Grimsby. It is much cooler here, 19 C I have to use light jacket. Yesterday we started our journey at 1.30 arrived here at 7.30 pm. We had a stop over at one of the Services. Here in England on Motorway, you can find Services  at every 12 to 15 minutes.  I had multigrain toasted slice with butter orange marmalade and tea from Costa. My Youngest had meal from McDonald We were home at 7.30, my Eldest surprised his Mom with  Birthday cake. It was with fresh Strawberry, Cherries one.  Beautifully decorated. We had pictures and enjoyed after that I set up my computer to get connected with my Readers Family. I went to bed after  12 midnight and by the Grace of God had a good night sleep. It is Sunday sunny hot 29 C I am leaving today, going to Grimbsy. I spent great time in London. The whole week was very busy. Came from Toronto on 1st July that is Canada Day at 12.30 midnight. Yesterday I was at the family gathering in the evening. My cousin's daughter arranged that. It was at Tooting, 25 minutes away from Croydon, from my Daughter's place. My elder Daughter was also here from Grimsby so we all were there. Today is 8th of July it is my elder Daughter's Birthday as we have to leave  so My Youngest Daughter came at night with cake and flowers to surprise  her. We celebrated and had photos to keep in our memory box. It is 10 after, in Toronto 5 am as it is 5 hours behind there. I have to pack my stuff. My younger Daughter busy in making breakfast. It is Saturday sunny hot day 31 C my Daughter came from Grimsby after 11.30 pm. We had tea chit chat watching photo albums. It is Friday sunny 32 C, these are couple of my last days in London. On Sunday morning I will leave for Grimbsy for couple of weeks. Today I planned to go to my cousin's place, her husband died last  year. I also have to see my Grade five school friend. My cousin lives in Tooting, it is 25 minutes drive from Croydon, my Daughter's place. My son in law was going there so I accompanied him. I stayed with my cousin for couple of hours, from 10 to 12. My son in law dropped me at Streathem Station, from there I got 109 to Brixton. I already top up my Oyster travel card with Pond 4.50.that was enough for the day in buses only. My friend lives near Finchley station, she decided to come  to Trafalgar, that would be a bit closer for me. From Brixton I got Bus # 3 for Trafalgar. It is Thursday 28 C sunny beautiful day. I talked to my Daughters in the morning. My Son calls me every day at night time. Over there  time is 5 hours behind. It is always good to be connected. Today I planned to go to Croydon Town Centre. I chalk out program for every day to get busy and enjoy my time. My Daughter coming from work at 4 pm, I always make sure to be back before that. I have to do my hair color as there will be a get together at my my cousin's daughter's place on Saturday evening. We have to pay attention to ourselves to feel good. Mind and Body all connected. we can not feel good until  we pay attention to our body. Anyway I have buy hair color and change all of my old Bills from bank. We have to set some targets to feel that our trip is important. To make it official and business like. I used to work full time on Wednesdays, playing Darts and Bowling but it is OK I am on vacation. I am done with all my things talked to my  Daughters and also  to my  Grade 7th fr iend. She lives in Downtown  London.  We set our meeting for 1 pm Thursday  at Trafalgar square.  It will take  around 2 hours for me to be there from Croydon so  1 pm  will be  fine,  why to panic and rush.  It is always good to  have time in  hand. It is only 10 am and my Daughter wont be back from work until 4 pm. I started thinking why am I wasting my time. I have just couple of days  here  in London.  I am in Central London now, started my journey at 10.30 from Croydon. Got Bus # 109 from Thornton Heath Pond, in  40 minutes I was at  Brixton  Station. To All My Dear Readers Take a big frying pan put some oil  put on medium flame add garlic and ginger paste not much  add couple of TSP of white wheat flour  stir for couple of minutes now add milk to make sauce it has to be juicy so add enough milk keep stirring  after milk starts boiling leave it for 5 minutes don't stop stirring switch off flame your white sauce is ready now Take another pot put on medium flame put some cooking oil add chopped garlic stir for 2 minutes add boiled chicken pieces  in the pan add black pepper powder red chili powder crushed red chili to make it spicy sprinkle pinch of salt stir for 5 minutes to mix spices in chicken pieces Put these chicken pieces in the frying pan with white sauce add boiled pasta you can add pinch of oregano to add flavor stir and  leave for 5 minutes  to get everything mixed with sauce This is your tasty dish on top you can add sliced olive cheese and parsley to give color to

Whenever I come to London, I never miss that. My Daughter used to live in Downtown Purley before moving to Grimbsy. I always go to Purley to revive memorable moments. I roam around the High Street, that is Downtown Purley. It is small place with Barkley, Lloyds and Santander, all the banks, on one side of the street. On the other side is Post Office, Cafes and Charity Shops, Salvation Army, Oxfam Cancer Research and so on. I love these shops, these are like antique shops. You can enjoy all the China and so many things of old times. Bus # 289 goes from my Daughter's place to Purley. I used to enjoy shunting between both of my Daughter's places. It is Tuesday sunny hot day, last night  I had good sleep. Today  I was awake at 8 am London times. All set now. My Daughter made  sure that  I have everything handy in my room. In London I don't think AC is everywhere. I haven't seen in any of the houses. There was a table fan on the big black table. Here in England not so much space so houses not big.  She adjusted somehow, table was enough to put my computer, my sudoku and scrabble books all my medicines , my Tablet everything I need, was  on the table. Clean bed sheets. Credit also goes to my grandson as it was his room.  Yesterday I called my cousin sister. She is much older than me. Her daughter  planned a get together on Saturday afternoon.  I will go there,  her whole  family will be there so it will be good to see them all. My other Daughter will be coming on Friday night from Grimbsy with her  family.  She with her husband and two sons. Her Daughter is in Home.  She comes  once a month

It is Monday sunny hot morning with 27 C. I am in my jet lag mode so woke up late. Went to bed at 5 last night, it was morning I mean 5 am. It will take a while to adjust. It is 10.30 am I am done with my breakfast. My Daughters know I take oatmeal, it was right in the cupboard. My Daughter is at work. She has two boys one daughter. Daughter is also at work, Son is also working, getting ready to go. Youngest one is at school. Last night I had many calls. My Daughter from Grimsby and my Son called. My Daughter from Grimbsy will come on 7th of July to pick me up for the Big event on 14th July. My Daughter will be back from school after 4 pm. She is a teacher. I will take shower and unpack my stuff. My Son will be awake and call me from Toronto same my other Daughters. Being Mom is a wonderful experience. This is Greatest Gift from God. We have to be thankful for that too besides all of His other Blessings. Today I have no plans to go out. I will make c

It is Sunday beautiful sunny morning. It is my last day in Toronto I will be away for nearly two months. My flight is at 9 am. I will leave my home at 6 am. I have to be awake one hour early. I never set alarm, I always go with my mental clock, it always works. I start losing my sleep weeks before my travel so you can imagine what would be at the night before my travel. It was hardly couple of hours.  I was out of my bed at 4.30. It was too early for breakfast. I was thinking of having tea then I remembered Mom never let us to have tea in the  morning unless we have taken something before that. She was of the  opinion that it will not be good for your stomach. We always value our parents when they are gone. This is sad but is reality.I have taken half English muffin egg sandwich with half cup of tea. I booked wheel chair but by the Grace of God I managed by myself. I didn't have to use that. I was fine. I am sitting in the plane. It is Air Canada
