Today it is one degree after a long time I can see now my red wooden bench It was embedded in knee down snow for weeks in my front yard Front lawns are looking like a green and white mosaic as snow is still there Squirrels are happily running around I am waiting for my friend to pick me up It is morning everything looking so fresh sun is shining giving glitter to snow No one is scared of winter anymore plants are also giving a Nod to the f estive atmosphere I am enjoying walking on my driveway looking so different no snow for a while I am wearing my light black long coat which my daughter in law picked up and my son got it for me from Scarborough Town Center Scarborough Center my favorite Mall not so big still so much activity going on all the time All transit systems terminate and start from there you can get connections to downtown and to anywhere in the city There is an inter city Go bus service RT the overhead tr

Weather is like Roller Coaster it is 12 degrees plus raining all day so most of the snow gone Grey roof of houses now very clear still we see lot of snow on green of grass like white border It feels + 7 with windchill Thursdays used to be my indoor Golfing due to Christmas season it was off for couple of weeks everyone was busy This Thursday it was a get together party so much to enjoy having good time also playing golf I was surprised to see myself that my balls most of the times were going into holes Keep in mind it was an indoor golf and for we seniors still I was happy always look something to brighten your day Today I changed my venue in the library I was sitting at the back side looking at the conservation area It used to be lush green now giving a very different view with all the plants skeleton making me to think how things change  It is very quiet now all the playful squirrels are gone into hibernation Birds

Tuesdays are off for me I mean no Darts and Carpet Bowling activities in My Club I have to get busy and chalk out my ow time table I changed my bed sheets and did laundry I told you  my Washer Dryer is in the basement so have to do lots of exercise It is 3 stairs from my bedroom and with bed sheets 2 loads so it took nearly the whole day One of our family friend's Aunt died couple of days back in her back home so I visited her place At 3 pm my youngest grandson was having his inter school basket ball game so I have to be there with my family We have to keep ourselves busy and cash every moment don't wait for Tomorrow After Dinner my son was going to get some grocery from Freshco I had one more opportunity to get out I bought Swiss cheese  and Crackers and Quaker Oats cereal with Almond and coconut Don't forget to talk to God in between it acts like Meditation helps a lot will give you strength to face everyth

This time it is white Christmas which people think is good sign our backyard is giving a picture of Iceland Backyard furniture is covered with nearly two feet of snow same is BBQ trees looking so beautiful with white blossom  of snow  and flakes In our front yard the bench outside is now embedded in snow Basket ball  pole is at the side on the front lawn quiet and lonely as kids not around to play it is too heavy to move further Our house is at the dead end so it was at the corner outside and kids from neighbors used to play and enjoy in the afternoons By city law it has to be moved by Dec 4th to give space for snow removal trucks otherwise there is a penalty and city will do it at your cost Today will be light snow whole day my youngest grandson  has his hockey game in Don Beer Arena my eldest will also go as he is Coaching I had shower at 10 am so that I can go for 12 30 pm event may be we will go at 11.30 I am ready anyway I

Today is 13 below feels like 23 degrees below zero in Canada they always show the windchill factor With all the snow everywhere watching weather channel it gives report of snow squalls I told you that  before living for years in Canada still can not figure out how many types of snow here Squalls means blowing snow it is now windy with gust 29 km / h looks like all whiteout Sun is also scared to come forward to come to rescue it is freezing even with our winter coats boots and gloves on but who cares we are OK just bring it on Last night I went to Mayor Light Tour my pickup point was my library it started at 7 pm for couple of hours I was home at 10 pm We watched all the beautiful lights around City of Pickering we have to give rating to the houses entered into competition this year Our body is at the receiving end it absorbs whatever is available our Mind is the leader always sets the program and plans to feed the Dat

It was 10 cm snow on Sunday it is still here as temperature was in Minus throughout and is still below zero so snow is not going anywhere Sun is shining City clears the streets right away so no problem in commuting Driveways are of course our responsibility and also we have to clear the sidewalk beside our house so lot of work for my son Today is 17 degrees below zero we have to take our winter coats out but I am still using my light sneakers as winter shoes are heavier I rarely use that I am in the library sitting on my favorite sofa seat today fire place is not on someone working on it to check what is wrong I am not worried as it is 9.50 am after 5 minutes have to go to the next room to do numbers to make teams to play Darts It is 12 Noon my Darts are done so I am back to my favorite seat in the library fire place is on now it is like my second home People are going through Newspapers which I always skip I don't want

Snow is  now on it is Canada what you expect we have to accept whatever is there  how long can we be away from snow But Life goes on here as routine so my Darts and Carpet Bowling will be the same I signed up Mayor's Light Tour it will be on Wednesday night Buses will pick up from various points I will go to the Library  pick up point My son will drive me there as it is at 7 pm it will be for 2 hours going to watch  all the Christmas lights around the City of Pickering Many buses will start from different  points then this Tour will conclude with light refreshments and Music  in City Hall I go most of the time unless I am out of country it is always good to get out for our own good and also good for the whole Family When we are feeling good we take everything easy and able to handle the situations which are so natural while you are living in Family It is nobody's fault everyone needs space and time so do we Find yo

This is the 2nd part of My Trip to Lake Simcoe I signed up with my seniors Club for a trip to Lake Simcoe we were going to watch Christmas lights so it was long day  We started at 11 and back around 10 pm our trip started from Pickering Recreation Complex Lake Simcoe is far nearly 2 hours  away so it was a long Drive on the way we had couple of stops First one w as an antique Market  where we had our own lunch and walked around to enjoy  We were passing through farms sky was clear after awhile became hazy and started to drizzle I saw the sign of London at 100 Km  I used to live in London Ontario in 1993 it is a smaller town scenic and beautiful  I have so many memories of that beautiful town my son was doing his Masters from Western University two of my younger daughters were in school doing their A level I had to pass my time so joined Immigration Center and was volunteering in Global House London is in snow belt used to b
