I am sitting on steel grey velvety
sofa near the fire place in the
library

Fire place is not on today as it
is Canada and temperature is plus 
2 degrees is not considered as a real
cold we are having our light jackets on

Now coming to the point which
Linda and Dave raised

Stress in our life with all the
advancements in technology

I have written two Blogs still 
I think haven't been able to talk
about the real topic

That point is still there untouched
so here I will try again

What I feel with our advancement
in technology we are very busy in
enjoying with all our wonderful
gadgets 

Not our fault it opened so many
windows the wonder of internet
keeps us connected

Our Face book keeps us busy
getting all the Messages from
around the world 

Just couple of years back it all
looked like a fairy tale story
the digital photography we enjoy
everything

Are we Happy ?

I think we are too busy playing
around that don't have time
even to think about that

I don't remember when was the
last time I mailed a Christmas
or a birthday card

I forgot when I organized my
photo album 

Nowadays postman comes to drop
only Bills for us to pay
No one is happy to see him at our door

Same is Milkman lost somewhere
in the advancement of Technology

We have no time to hang around
with our neighbors we live for
years like strangers 

Everyone is busy I have no time
to see my Black and white Photo
Album same is with letters from
my family and friends

Everything is lying inside my
cupboard like a treasure as a
souvenir 

I never regret for all these
advancements we can not
imagine our life without that

Still the question 

Are we Happy ?

I enjoy everything but I get my
Real Happiness when I get out
and watch the Beauty of Nature
Birds chirping Flowers smiling

Dew drops glistening sitting beside
the Lake by the Water listening
it's music is everything to me

 People of different cast color
and creed the happy faces of
children looks to me like Rainbow 

This all is real Happiness to me

 I have to write more I think this
topic needs lot to discuss so much
depth in the Topic

    I have posted the blog in Smile Corner. Even though it is Monday, there still are a lot of customers. I will have to go for supplies again as I don't think the tea will last that long.

      We decided to go for our first Smile Walk today. Jasmeet organized it. As Smile is fond of nature, we made sure that we spend time talking about it. It was fantastic

      I am not sure if we can do it every day because we have a small team of 12 but will try as often as possible

My supervisor say that I too addict to blog but I no mind that. I learn so much from it. I do 2 job and no time, but I read blog

    Father say that he sorry he no write comment yesterday. He went church and then went walk for 15 mins. He say that his first Smile Walk. He walk with me and jacket. He so tired after walk, that he sleep. He old, almost 67. He say he no walk for 1 week minimum. He sit today and watch tele.

      I posted it in all the lobbies but ran out of the printouts for some of the noticeboards in lobby C. There are usually a lot of people who wait for me and ask me for copies instead of waiting for the blog to be posted and I don't want to say no to them. I have now posted it in the remaining noticeboards too

    Retirees appreciate your blog and your comments about stress. We are meeting today to review these comments. The retired professor of philosophy will be leading the meeting.

    Also, I will like to apologize to you as some of the members did not like my reminder to you about advice on walking. They pointed out that you already are a very busy person so we should not be bugging you for that. Please accept my sincere apologies for that

  January 12th 2024 It is around mid of January. Time for us to, start getting snow storms. This will be off an on, for the next couple of weeks. It is 10.15, mixed sunny cloudy morning, windy too. Gusts are 38 to 48 km.  Friday used to be my work day, not today. Kids day camp is going on in the library, at my work place. I am off for the whole week. I have to find my own things to do, to get busy. From Monday, things will be back on track. I will be having my regular work hours. It is 11.45, I am getting ready to walk to Tim Hortons. I take it as my second home. I know that it is cold and windy. I am all set with gloves, stole and three layers underneath my winter coat. I will be fine. Whites Road and walkway is, all clear of snow. I see some white patches of snow, by the side of road, under trees and bushes. This is the beauty of Toronto, snow cleared right away.   July 7th 2023 It is hot sunny morning, 9.15 and already 24 C, feel like 26. I woke up early, done with my breakfast. Talked to one of my daughters, my middle one, called me from Grimsby.  She was going home, done with her work. It was a brief talk. She was busy, picking up her son, on the way from school. My other daughters are still at work. They will call me later on. We talk everyday, not much, just to connect.  I am busy with my computer. No message from my childhood friend. She never skips, must be busy. She was at her son's place in Sydney, was planning to go back to Perth, to be with her daughter. She must be stuck, other matters to be resolved. Anyway we have to find our own, "Things to do", to get busy, to make our day. Don't have to wait for people's calls and messages. I am busy playing Scrabble and Card games on my computer.   June 13th 2023 Beautiful morning. Great weather. It was raining all day, yesterday. Stopped at late night. I was working, Mondays are my work days. Have to go to play Darts. It starts at 9.30 in mornings. We were thirteen all together. Picked our numbers to make teams. Two boards with four teams. Three players in each. One team was odd, I mean with four. Anyway we enjoyed. Thirteen seniors on a rainy day, out to play, to enjoy time together. Amazing at that age. Gives inner peace. Boosts will power with affirmation that we still can do it. Rain or no rain, nothing can stop, to make our day. I think, will is everything behind your motto. When there is a will, there is always a way to go ahead, to move on, to do what you want. Today is Tuesday, weather is great 18 C, a bit on a cooler side. I am off, not working on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Last week I booked my flight to England. My daughters were pushing me for that.
