Dinner by the Lake
This is the 2nd part of My
Trip to Lake Simcoe
I signed up with my seniors Club
for a trip to Lake Simcoe
we were going to watch Christmas
lights so it was long day
We started at 11 and back around
10 pm our trip started from
Pickering Recreation Complex
Lake Simcoe is far nearly 2 hours
away so it was a long Drive
on the way we had couple of stops
First one was an antique Market
where we had our own lunch and
walked around to enjoy
We were passing through farms
sky was clear after awhile became
hazy and started to drizzle
I saw the sign of London at 100 Km
I used to live in London Ontario
in 1993 it is a smaller town scenic
and beautiful
I have so many memories of that
beautiful town my son was doing
his Masters from Western University
two of my younger daughters were
in school doing their A level
I had to pass my time so joined
Immigration Center and was
volunteering in Global House
London is in snow belt used to be
lots of snow and very long winter
I am nearly one hour away from there
I see couple of birds brave enough to
fly sky looks hazy not clear at all
now lots of dark clouds started from
one side and nearly covered the
whole sky
I am sitting with my friend she is from
West Indies she was telling me about
the visit to her sister living there
I was eagerly listening
West Indies is lush green with lots of
small Islands used to be a French colony
then British took over
Her forefathers were French speaking
she can understand a bit of French
there is all fresh vegetation and
and all sorts of fish big houses with
big front and back gardens
Our next stop was Piccard Peanuts Farms
it was a big shop with lots of farm products
and all antiques to look around
I got freshly baked apple turnover
and cheese popcorn for my grand kids
We proceeded from there to have our
Dinner at a nice restaurant by the lake
dinner was served on the table
We had a guided tour of city of Simcoe
lights after our Dinner by the Lake
passing through the downtown of the small
beautiful city was amazing the lights
and the lake everything was great

Dear Advisor,
ReplyDeleteThe retirees enjoyed your blog. They were impressed but also surprised that you are venturing out in the cold weather to far away places. We don't go anywhere in the winter except those who go to Florida.
Our subcommittee members are meeting today about the qs that you asked in your blog on Dec 6, 2016. They are thinking that the qs are very complex and will need much more time to sift through the data. I will let you know when they have completed their report
thank you
recent retiree
I have posted the blog in all notice boards in lobbies A, B, C and D.
ReplyDeleteJimmy
Did you get a chance to post the blogs from the weekend also ? The team is very interested in these blogs too
DeleteBrian
Yes I did. All blogs are posted now. I was delayed as there are people lined up to take the blog printouts from me and I usually run out of the printouts by the time I get to the last noticeboards

SWS was phenomenal. Huge turnout. I am surprised that we are still having that many people on a Monday!
DeleteCleo
SWN was very well attended too. Joan quipped that there are so many people that it looks like we are giving away goodies for free :-) I got the opportunity to plan out the Smile Forums

Take a deeeep breath. Go for a walk, a very long walk. In summary, just take it easy.
ReplyDeleteI am sure mrizvi reads all the blog, right mrizvi? After all, how can I someone write such detailed comments without reading, right mrizvi?
Smile is doing it all. She volunteers, she goes for sight seeing, she takes care of her family, she travels extensively, she writes every day, is a scientist, plus does a million other things. On top of that, she cares about her readers. She thanks each and every one of us every day. No wonder she is attracting so many readers
