and read in your group meeting

It is 25th of December
in about a week or so 2016 
will be history done is done
get ready to welcome the
New Year with open arms

I went to Mall to get chocolates 
and Tim Horton Gift cards
to my friends at Senior Club

One of my friend having her knee
surgery today she is 87 very brave
comes for Darts all the time

 She goes on every Trip and also
attends all the Club events
she takes her walker while travelling

 She had stroke so her right hand is weak
she learned to use her left hand
and play good Darts

 Doctors were double minded that
if surgery at this age will be of
any good she was ready to take her
chances and asked them to go ahead

She used to drive and lives in her
own house I know she has very
loving daughter and son 

She was playing Darts on Friday
and telling everyone that
she has surgery on Monday
she was smiling and relaxed

She used to pick me up for years

 I am writing all this as she is a 
source of inspiration for we seniors

When we see others doing that
then why can't we be able to do that
to live and enjoy our own Life

Never give up age is a number don't
think of that push yourself to live
your Life fully 

Celebrate today 
Past is done and tomorrow
we don't know
try to live in the Moment

    I posted the blog in Smile Corner. I always used to keep my shop closed on Christmas day but there were lots of customers yesterday who requested that I open today so I am opening for 6 hours only. Though it is Christmas, there are lots of customers coming. They only coming to read blog, and not eating biscuits though some are staying for coffee. I no mind, it is Christmas. I have also got Christmas cake which I am offering as a thank you to my customers but they are thanking me instead.

    Dear Madam Smile, You friend brave because you give advice and also give chocolate to her. You real nice. You take care of everyone. You real good. I no go 1 job because I celebrate merry Christmas but I still go to second job. I celebrate christmas by reading blog that you write me, 3 times. I almost remember blog now. You write so good. I do 2 job and proud celebrate christmas

    Dear Advisor,

    The retirees would like to wish you Happy Holidays. Most of the retirees are celebrating today with their families and they wanted me to share with you that your blogs have enriched their lives. I am not referring to your blog from yesterday, which was timely, but all of them.

    I need to cut my message short as my attendance is required for a family gathering, but since I wont have access to my computer. I wanted to write to you right away.

    Though the earlier greetings were from the retirees, on a personal level, please accept the heartiest well wishes for Christmas from myself and my family

    Father say to you Merry Christmas. He say that you make his Christmas so good. He say that you friend should rest and no play dart. Father say he plan go mall next week. He say he no go want go boxing day as he may fall. He old almost 67.

    (Father happy today. He also talk my wife too. He also went out night to see Christmas light that I put on house. Merry Christmas from me too. You blog are very good. I no only read for father but for me too because I too enjoy them).

    Your blogs are enabling us to improve the happiness quotient for ourselves and those around us. In essence, it helps us to learn new techniques and novel methods to bring tranquility in our lives. A small sample size is what happened yesterday when we shared the blog with other family and friends during yesterday's Christmas gathering at our abode. The reading of the blog instantly transformed everyone and jolted them into the Christmas mood. All had a great time, thanks to your inspirational and sagacious words.

    Your friend is indeed a brave person. We were discussing her during our family reunion and someone commented that perhaps part of that courage comes from you. I dont know if that's true or not, but a part of me believes that to be the case

  January 12th 2024 It is around mid of January. Time for us to, start getting snow storms. This will be off an on, for the next couple of weeks. It is 10.15, mixed sunny cloudy morning, windy too. Gusts are 38 to 48 km.  Friday used to be my work day, not today. Kids day camp is going on in the library, at my work place. I am off for the whole week. I have to find my own things to do, to get busy. From Monday, things will be back on track. I will be having my regular work hours. It is 11.45, I am getting ready to walk to Tim Hortons. I take it as my second home. I know that it is cold and windy. I am all set with gloves, stole and three layers underneath my winter coat. I will be fine. Whites Road and walkway is, all clear of snow. I see some white patches of snow, by the side of road, under trees and bushes. This is the beauty of Toronto, snow cleared right away.   July 7th 2023 It is hot sunny morning, 9.15 and already 24 C, feel like 26. I woke up early, done with my breakfast. Talked to one of my daughters, my middle one, called me from Grimsby.  She was going home, done with her work. It was a brief talk. She was busy, picking up her son, on the way from school. My other daughters are still at work. They will call me later on. We talk everyday, not much, just to connect.  I am busy with my computer. No message from my childhood friend. She never skips, must be busy. She was at her son's place in Sydney, was planning to go back to Perth, to be with her daughter. She must be stuck, other matters to be resolved. Anyway we have to find our own, "Things to do", to get busy, to make our day. Don't have to wait for people's calls and messages. I am busy playing Scrabble and Card games on my computer.   June 13th 2023 Beautiful morning. Great weather. It was raining all day, yesterday. Stopped at late night. I was working, Mondays are my work days. Have to go to play Darts. It starts at 9.30 in mornings. We were thirteen all together. Picked our numbers to make teams. Two boards with four teams. Three players in each. One team was odd, I mean with four. Anyway we enjoyed. Thirteen seniors on a rainy day, out to play, to enjoy time together. Amazing at that age. Gives inner peace. Boosts will power with affirmation that we still can do it. Rain or no rain, nothing can stop, to make our day. I think, will is everything behind your motto. When there is a will, there is always a way to go ahead, to move on, to do what you want. Today is Tuesday, weather is great 18 C, a bit on a cooler side. I am off, not working on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Last week I booked my flight to England. My daughters were pushing me for that.
