It was 10 cm snow on Sunday
it is still here as temperature
was in Minus throughout
and is still below zero so snow is not
going anywhere

Sun is shining City clears the
streets right away so no problem
in commuting

Driveways are of course our
responsibility and also we have
to clear the sidewalk beside our
house so lot of work for my son

 Today is 17 degrees below zero
we have to take our winter coats
out but I am still using my light
sneakers as winter shoes are heavier
I rarely use that

 I am in the library sitting on my
favorite sofa seat today fire place
is not on someone working on it
to check what is wrong

I am not worried as it is 9.50 am
after 5 minutes have to go to the
next room to do numbers to make
teams to play Darts

 It is 12 Noon my Darts are done
so I am back to my favorite seat
in the library fire place is on now
it is like my second home

People are going through Newspapers
which I always skip I don't want
to know about all the troubles
going on when I can not play any
part in world politics why should I know

I care about my small world
my family my Readers family
my Club enough for me 

 It is Wednesday so my Carpet Bowling
at 1 pm so I will go home at 3 pm
I am also going to Mayor's Light Tour 
from 7 to 9 pm tonight my pick up point 
will be this Library so will be back again

You people wonder why I get out
in Rain or Shine cold and snow
to let you know I get out to gather
Flowers of Happiness from everywhere

    I posted the blog in Smile Corner. This being Friday, lots of customers coming in early from work. Some saying that they will stay late. I am almost out of biscuits, even though I got lots just a few days ago.

      Thanks guys. Yes I love donuts and thank you for getting me my favourite however I have left it in the kitchen as this goes better with the sweet Smile blog. Also, I don't want the team to feel that I am competing to post the blog because of donut. The reason I try to post the blog first is because I know how much all of us wants to read the blog and not for any other reason :-)

      PS: Lets call the donuts that we get for posting the blog as Smile donut

    Dear Madam Smile, you so energy. I watch news on Toronto weather and they say it very very cold and very very bad. How you can go out. You no old, you young!! You do so many thing. You big shot too. You also very kind. I do 2 job but call sick when it get cold like 15 C. I no no how you do so many thing like write blog, attend government conferences, do science, do poetry, teach son son basketball, teach son son hockey coaching, give money to son, get grocery for son sons and also food for son sons.

    Dear Advisor,

    The retirees had an emergency meeting today. We passed a resolution to request you to please take care of yourself. We know that you are not like us but one of the retired professional athlete commented that your schedule is so demanding that even some of the athletes will have problems with it.

    Also our subcommittee could not finish the information that you requested of us on Dec 6, 2016. The sub committee has adjourned for the week and will start its work again on Monday

      The fourth Smile forum was a huge huge success. We also had some people from the 1st forum who attended this. We are asking people to not reattend a session but join Smile Walks. We already have a problem of too many people wanting to attend so if everyone starts attending again, new people will not get a chance.

      I have added 2 more forums for next week.

    Father say that he no not no how you go out in so cold. He say that he feel cold even when he read about this cold. Father say that in winter he not only want tele remote but hot soup too. Father say that he only wants hot soup from me as my wife burn soup. I no wanted write this comment about wife, but father say it his comment so I write what he say.     Smile is inspiring us and others in a variety of ways. She is showing us how to be kind, how to be active, how to social, how to be involved with the family, and so many more things. Bottom line she is showing us how to live our lives

  January 12th 2024 It is around mid of January. Time for us to, start getting snow storms. This will be off an on, for the next couple of weeks. It is 10.15, mixed sunny cloudy morning, windy too. Gusts are 38 to 48 km.  Friday used to be my work day, not today. Kids day camp is going on in the library, at my work place. I am off for the whole week. I have to find my own things to do, to get busy. From Monday, things will be back on track. I will be having my regular work hours. It is 11.45, I am getting ready to walk to Tim Hortons. I take it as my second home. I know that it is cold and windy. I am all set with gloves, stole and three layers underneath my winter coat. I will be fine. Whites Road and walkway is, all clear of snow. I see some white patches of snow, by the side of road, under trees and bushes. This is the beauty of Toronto, snow cleared right away.   July 7th 2023 It is hot sunny morning, 9.15 and already 24 C, feel like 26. I woke up early, done with my breakfast. Talked to one of my daughters, my middle one, called me from Grimsby.  She was going home, done with her work. It was a brief talk. She was busy, picking up her son, on the way from school. My other daughters are still at work. They will call me later on. We talk everyday, not much, just to connect.  I am busy with my computer. No message from my childhood friend. She never skips, must be busy. She was at her son's place in Sydney, was planning to go back to Perth, to be with her daughter. She must be stuck, other matters to be resolved. Anyway we have to find our own, "Things to do", to get busy, to make our day. Don't have to wait for people's calls and messages. I am busy playing Scrabble and Card games on my computer.   June 13th 2023 Beautiful morning. Great weather. It was raining all day, yesterday. Stopped at late night. I was working, Mondays are my work days. Have to go to play Darts. It starts at 9.30 in mornings. We were thirteen all together. Picked our numbers to make teams. Two boards with four teams. Three players in each. One team was odd, I mean with four. Anyway we enjoyed. Thirteen seniors on a rainy day, out to play, to enjoy time together. Amazing at that age. Gives inner peace. Boosts will power with affirmation that we still can do it. Rain or no rain, nothing can stop, to make our day. I think, will is everything behind your motto. When there is a will, there is always a way to go ahead, to move on, to do what you want. Today is Tuesday, weather is great 18 C, a bit on a cooler side. I am off, not working on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Last week I booked my flight to England. My daughters were pushing me for that.
