It is How You Take it

Image
Beautiful sunny morning. Snow everywhere so much on the ground still more showering from above. It is another snow storm on top of the last week's one. I have to go to work to play my Darts. I skipped. Not good weather to get out for the people of my age. My eldest grandson, the Lucky guy left for his work. My youngest one the Slurpee Boy is leaving for school. They are young. They can handle, ready to face any situation. We have to be careful. Not good to be a  burden to our kids. We have keep that in mind. Top of our Black Lexus is covered under thick white blanket. Driveways looking beautiful, spotless, loaded with white fluffy stuff. It is calm quiet atmosphere. I can see clear marks of my Slurpee Boy's foot steps, outside, at my front door.  He just left.  It looks like a virgin land around.  No one is outside.  Cars  loaded with snow,  sitting standstill on driveways, waiting for orders to move.  One of my neighbor, across, taking her dog out for a walk. She lives alone

Beautiful mixed sunny cloudy morning of late February. Not so cold today. It is 2 C, feels like 6 below Zero. Perfect day for my walk. I will think, not so sure as Rain is on the way. Snow is everywhere. It will be slushy to walk. I will decide after.  First thing first. We have to prioritize our" Things To Do" list.  I have to find my ride for tomorrow.  I have to go to work. Our playing Darts day is tomorrow. After setting my ride, I will write Mail for team players. List for players will be out by the end of the day. Next comes my doctor's appointment. I have to get my six monthly Vitamin D injection. I have to talk to one of my grandsons for that. Doctor is not far. If not raining, I can go by myself. First I have to pick the injection from Rexhall Pharmacy after that will go to doctor to get my shot.  I got message from one of my community friends. I have to call her today. We have to value the people, who remember us in their thoughts. It is nice of them. We have

Letter To My Dear Readers

Dear Readers I got Comments after months, I don't get so often because of Glitch. Dear Friends in Ireland, I will be praying for you. My Smile Corner friend, I am worried about the situation at your place. You have to remove Covid restrictions right away as your country already lifted that. You people have to follow the Directives of the country, you live in. Situation varies from country to country. Go with the country, you live in.  We have to obey the rules of our own country, we live in. Please make it very clear. Same is the rule with Masks. If your country lifted that rule, you have to do that too. Obey the rules of your country. Please write a letter of apology to the Police Personnel. I request my friends Councilor and the Mayor and all my Reader Friends, who come to Smile Corner to read my Blogs, to please sign that letter for me. Take the letter to the Police Personnel, right away, with my Blog.  I request my Friends the Police Personnel, to please accept the apology. I

Beautiful sunny morning of the third week of February. It is cold 13 C below zero, feels like 25 below. Skeleton trees are beautifully decorated with thick white icing and loaded with Cottony flowers. Such a scenic view around. It is 10.15, I am sitting in my room. I can see my front garden through the big glass panel of my windows. Red wooden bench in my garden, is half embedded under the snow. Grass is all covered under the thick white blanket. I can't see any foot prints. No one is outside. It is like a virgin land. Beautiful calm quiet and peaceful.  My back garden is displaying the same view.  I see  white spongy heavy cushion on my Red garden chair. Glass top of my steel garden table is under a thick slab of ice. Bird feeders are loaded with snow, no space for birds to enter. Anyway February is about to end. Couple of more weeks to go. Things will change. Enjoy the beautiful scenic view for now. It will be a total different scenario after, time to get out to enjoy with bird

Beautiful Sunny Morning. Cold day 16 C feels like 20 below zero. It is 8.45, I am off today, have to go to work tomorrow, still so much to do. My youngest grandson is going to school. I will make sure to make peanut butter sandwiches and hot chocolate for him and also his lunch. He likes beef burger. I will do that before having breakfast. I love my Slurpee Boy.  I believe family always comes first.Things we do for others, for our loved ones, are precious, give us inner piece, the real happiness. We have to realize and believe that. Such a simple Recipe to make our day and to lead a happy life. It is 9.15, my oatmeal porridge is nearly done. I already put it on the stove in a small pot. By the time I will fry egg and make tea, it will be ready. I am enjoying my breakfast, sitting in my eat in kitchen. Blinds of my Patio doors, are on side. I can see the clear view of my back garden. Snow everywhere. Glass top of my steel table is loaded with ice. Red garden chair is half embedded und

Winter is Time to Ponder

It is 12.15, I am just back from work, after playing my Darts. It is cloudy misty day. Sun is hiding somewhere under the thick, off white blanket. Snow is still around. Looks like, sort of calm, quiet atmosphere. Skeleton trees standing around holding their breath, waiting for what will be the next. Weather channel predicted wet snow for today. Let's see what will be there. Nothing to worry about. We Canadians already learned our lessons. We can handle. Just bring it on. I am busy in my kitchen, making banana shakes. My friend the Black Squirrel is busy with his workouts in my back garden. He takes wooden fence of my garden, like his Gym. He looks well after his body. Takes his exercises seriously. He is smart. My son filled up the two bird feeders, are now hanging by the tree. Small Red bird keeps coming to have her treat. Black squirrel takes her chances, jumps on the Feeders to get his share out of that. It is nice view to enjoy.  Glass top of my steel garden table is loaded w

Spring is Just around the Corner

It is one of the beautiful bright sunny mornings of early February. Snow is still around but not so cold. It is just 3 C below zero, feels like 8 below. This is like summer in Toronto for we Canadians. My daughter in Edmonton is coping with 30 C below zero. They have special boots and jackets to handle the Icy conditions and freezing cold. We Humans are amazing creatures. We can survive. Know how to enjoy whatever is there. Make adjustments. Couple of weeks back, there was a real snow storm in Toronto, otherwise we don't see snow piling up for such a long time. Snow banks are still along the pathways and by the road side. It will take time to clear all the mess. I salute frontline workers for pitching in so much, to make our lives easier. Our roads and walkways are all clear. Our garbage picked up all the times, on designated days.  That is great. We have to realize, admire and have to appreciate their efforts. This Covid period of time is now for more than two years. Not easy fo

Another Snow Storm Like Cherry On Top

It is Friday. Snow is already around one more storm came last night to dump more snow. It is 7.45 in the morning very cold 22 below zero, wind gusts 25 km so we will face blowing snow too. You have to take whatever is there. Have to accept with patience and grace.  I have to go to my work for playing Darts, after 9.30. Our club resumed activities as City relaxed restrictions. Indoor dining is also on. We still have to follow the Directives. Use Masks whenever required and keep distancing. It is good to be safe and take precautions for others safety. I will be dressed up in layers but not much as Darts are indoors not have to be so much exposed. I have to check my Darts and Mask, have to show my Vaccine passport, which is on my phone. Thanks to my grandson, the middle one, Master Golden. He transferred my vaccine certificates on my Cell phone.  It is 12.30, I am back. Have to go for a quick shower after that to my kitchen to make Banana Strawberry shakes for my son, for my eldest gran

It is Tuesday 1st day of February. Snow still around. Weather getting better not so cold just 6 C below zero. Great for we Canadians in Toronto. Yesterday I got tempted to go for my walk. It was not safe, I realised that after. Snow banks are still, by the side of pathways. Not much space to walk comfortably with our heavy coats. Ice patches also there, making conditions a bit slippery.  I was happy, I made it. Went to "Dollarama" to get Word search and Sudoku books for myself and chocolates for my grandkids. I know they all are grown ups. Not kids anymore. One is working, the other one is in 3rd year of Uni and the last one is going to Uni this year. I give them chocolates after dinner. This gives me so much happiness, which I believe, can not get from anywhere.  It is 20 minutes walk to the Plaza, then in the store, went to bank before to get some cash. I like to have cash. I arrived safely home, it took about one and half hour for all that. Yesterday I started my five min
