Another Snow Storm Like Cherry On Top

It is Friday. Snow is already around one more storm came last night to dump more snow. It is 7.45 in the morning very cold 22 below zero, wind gusts 25 km so we will face blowing snow too. You have to take whatever is there. Have to accept with patience and grace. 

I have to go to my work for playing Darts, after 9.30. Our club resumed activities as City relaxed restrictions. Indoor dining is also on. We still have to follow the Directives. Use Masks whenever required and keep distancing. It is good to be safe and take precautions for others safety.

I will be dressed up in layers but not much as Darts are indoors not have to be so much exposed. I have to check my Darts and Mask, have to show my Vaccine passport, which is on my phone. Thanks to my grandson, the middle one, Master Golden. He transferred my vaccine certificates on my Cell phone. 

It is 12.30, I am back. Have to go for a quick shower after that to my kitchen to make Banana Strawberry shakes for my son, for my eldest grandson, the Lucky Guy and for myself. Never forget to treat your body. We have to listen and take good care of our body. It helps to carry out our activities to tackle our day to day matters. There is always give and take in every relationship. Same works with our body.

My daughters are calling me. My youngest one from Reading and my middle one from Kent. They usually make group calls. It saves time, not have to repeat things. It only works when the people you connect, are on the same wave length, otherwise might create issues and damage the existing relationship. Think twice before dialing group calls. 

We connect to chit chat, nothing important, just to share our day to day matters. It is late afternoon at their place in England. I am five hours behind in Toronto. They call every day. It is always good to connect with your loved ones. It makes our day.

    I have posted the blog in Smile Corner. There was a big protest in front of Smile Corner yesterday against the Covid restrictions that we are continuing to have as Smile Corner. Protestors were asking me to remove the Covid protocols because Ireland has lifted the Covid restrictions however I told them that I am still maintaining it at Smile Corner because you have not approved it. I asked you for approval for the last 2-3 weeks but am waiting for a response. The situation is getting bad and the old councillor is using the situation for his advantage. Can you please suggest if we should be using the mask or go back to normal

  January 12th 2024 It is around mid of January. Time for us to, start getting snow storms. This will be off an on, for the next couple of weeks. It is 10.15, mixed sunny cloudy morning, windy too. Gusts are 38 to 48 km.  Friday used to be my work day, not today. Kids day camp is going on in the library, at my work place. I am off for the whole week. I have to find my own things to do, to get busy. From Monday, things will be back on track. I will be having my regular work hours. It is 11.45, I am getting ready to walk to Tim Hortons. I take it as my second home. I know that it is cold and windy. I am all set with gloves, stole and three layers underneath my winter coat. I will be fine. Whites Road and walkway is, all clear of snow. I see some white patches of snow, by the side of road, under trees and bushes. This is the beauty of Toronto, snow cleared right away.   July 7th 2023 It is hot sunny morning, 9.15 and already 24 C, feel like 26. I woke up early, done with my breakfast. Talked to one of my daughters, my middle one, called me from Grimsby.  She was going home, done with her work. It was a brief talk. She was busy, picking up her son, on the way from school. My other daughters are still at work. They will call me later on. We talk everyday, not much, just to connect.  I am busy with my computer. No message from my childhood friend. She never skips, must be busy. She was at her son's place in Sydney, was planning to go back to Perth, to be with her daughter. She must be stuck, other matters to be resolved. Anyway we have to find our own, "Things to do", to get busy, to make our day. Don't have to wait for people's calls and messages. I am busy playing Scrabble and Card games on my computer.   June 13th 2023 Beautiful morning. Great weather. It was raining all day, yesterday. Stopped at late night. I was working, Mondays are my work days. Have to go to play Darts. It starts at 9.30 in mornings. We were thirteen all together. Picked our numbers to make teams. Two boards with four teams. Three players in each. One team was odd, I mean with four. Anyway we enjoyed. Thirteen seniors on a rainy day, out to play, to enjoy time together. Amazing at that age. Gives inner peace. Boosts will power with affirmation that we still can do it. Rain or no rain, nothing can stop, to make our day. I think, will is everything behind your motto. When there is a will, there is always a way to go ahead, to move on, to do what you want. Today is Tuesday, weather is great 18 C, a bit on a cooler side. I am off, not working on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Last week I booked my flight to England. My daughters were pushing me for that.
