Thought Of The Day

Beautiful morning, clear sky, sunny and bright. It is 8.45 in the morning, 10 C, right now, will be warmer later on. Morning dew giving a glitter, like pearls scattered on lush green grass around, in my back ground. Pink Canadian Rose is smiling in front, in the flower bed, on the back of my garden. Yellow, Red, White and Pinkish Purple, Lilac flowers, adding colors to the beautiful scenic atmosphere. It is like Cherry on top.  Deck looks slightly damp, may be it is the Dew effect or some early morning drizzle. Whatever it is, everything looks great. Amazing.  This is all, more than enough for me, to start my day.  It is Friday, National holiday, here in Canada. Schools, Malls, Grocery stores, Banks and many services are closed. Same is for Libraries. I am off too, not have to go to my work. I will plan my day, to streamline my "Things To Do". Have to wash my hair. I don't wash every day. Not many left, so I am cautious to handle my hair. I have to make some calls. I will

  25th September 2022 It is raining since early morning. Cloudy hazy sky. Everything looking great  after morning shower. Beautiful view  in my back garden. Rain drops keep showering at my deck.  Sitting in my TV room,  I am enjoying all that, through big glass panels in front. News Channel is on, showing Hurricane Fiona  devastation  in provinces of Quebec and Newfoundland. Houses washed away, evacuation is underway.  Damage must be huge, to be estimated after. Search is underway for people, if any missing.  Global warming is a big problem, causing such havoc around the world. Many parts are in a mess, facing adverse situations. It is hard everywhere to deal with. We have to think about, how to cut down pollution. May be it is never too late to be mended. Let's see. I am all set after coming back from my trip. It is not even a week. I am back to work, playing Darts and Carpet Bowling. My right leg still giving me problem. It is my age. Nothing to complain.  I am handling that.  We

  21st September 2022 I am back in Pickering, in my home sweet home. Everything is back on track. It looks that I never been away, out of my domain, my room. Beautiful morning, cool, not cold. It is 9.15, I am enjoying my morning cup of tea, sitting on one of my favorite red knitted chairs. Red, Purple, White and Yellow flowers, are looking great, in white and brick red planters, lined up, by the side of my deck.  It is 16 C, breezy, cool, nice atmosphere, to get out, to enjoy outside. My friend, the Black Squirrel is busy with his workouts on the wooden fence of my garden. Couple of birds are enjoying too, having chit chat with friends, on the left side of my garden. Amazing, great moments to enjoy, to start my day. I believe, every city, every place has it's own beauty, it's own individuality. We have different flavor, wherever, we go. In Edmonton, it was quite different, still, beautiful. I enjoyed every moment, staying in Edmonton, at my daughter's place. On roads too,

  !7th September 2022 I am enjoying in Edmonton, at my daughter's place. Bright sunny cold day. It is 9.30, 10 C in the morning, windy too. I am already done with my breakfast. It was great, so many things on table. She made pancakes loaded with all sort of fresh berries, stir fried egg, toasted bread, butter, jam, orange juice. I was feeling great, sitting with my loved ones around.  My grandson was with me too. He is in third year Uni. He must be busy with studies, assignments and with his own things, like all youngsters. It is great of him to take some time off for her old grandma. Whenever they can make it.  We have to give them credit and admire them.  Moments for me to lock up in my memory box, to enjoy after. It is 10.15, I am sitting in my daughter's back garden, enjoying the scenic view around and also my morning cup of tea.   September 13th, 2022 Beautiful sunny morning. I am in Vancouver right now. It is 7.30 morning, great weather. I am staying in a bed and breakfast Motel. Have to get ready for my breakfast, to start my day. It is busy for couple of days. Every day in a different city, every night in a different Motel. Mostly on roads.  My daughter was working, has no vacations, no days off. She suggested, I can go to enjoy, the scenic places around. My son planned this trip for me, starting from Edmonton, Alberta to "Hinton", "Jasper", "Banff", "Ice Field Parkway" and all the way to British Columbia, to Vancouver. I miss my daughter. She is not with me. I am going back to Edmonton to spend rest of the week with her. I will be leaving on 19th, end of my journey, back to Toronto, to be back on track. It is Thursday, 8th of September. Edmonton weather is tricky.  I went to "Winners" nice clothing store, my daughter wanted to get things for me and my son. My son got nice Jeans, as she was insisting to have any gift. I didn't want to get anything. I already have enough. At our age, we don't have to store much.  Sky was clear blue, before we entered the store, afterward, it was raining, not heavy, still, not like a drizzle. We enjoyed the beautiful Rainbow, went to have dinner together. It was platter, with Chicken, Kebabs and Fish. We came home to have tea and to take some time off. We went, afterwards, to a nearby grocery store, 'Loblaws" to get snacks for our trip. We were planning to leave today in the morning, for "Jasper", a scenic place, four hours drive from my daughter's house in Edmonton.  Things sometimes wont go according to your plans.   I am am in Edmonton, sitting with my eldest daughter and my son, enjoying our breakfast together. Great moments to cherish. She is working online. It is 8.50, she has to go to her office room at 9 am sharp. She converted one of her room into office. It looks like an office, a big table with computers and special office like chairs. To create an atmosphere, supports, to focus on work, I think, it is important, to have a office feel.  Her house is a three bed room with an open concept. Bright house with considerable big back garden, upper deck is, with couple of steps to enter the garden. Very comfortable, cane and steel combination backyard furniture with grey cushions and glass top table in the center is arranged at the deck, to enjoy outside. It is a well decorated house with ordinary pieces of art, sculptures and indoor plants. It is something great that she is managing all this and also her two sons, with her single income. It is 8.30 morning, 21 C, will be hot 26C, later in the evening, feel like 31. September is the month, we expect lots of surprises. Weather becomes like a roller coaster. Two days back, we were using Air conditioner, now thinking to check our Furnace, to be turned on, few days after. These are for sure couple of last days of summer for we Canadians. My days for my trip to Edmonton, are getting closer. Two more days left, Monday, I will be leaving. So much to do. For now, I am sorting things out, what to pack, dumping it in my suitcase and around, at the corner of my room. I will check later to shortlist, to manage the weight, I can carry with me. Couple of things, people gave me gifts, like beautiful Black purse, my late brother in law's son gave me, while visiting me from Chicago.  My sister in law, sent me beautiful light blue suit. H
