I am having a day off

Image
28th October 2022 Bright beautiful morning. It is 8.20, 2 C. I am in my room, ready to do five minutes exercises for my right leg pain. My therapist gave me some printouts to do that. If we go to doctor, we have to follow his instructions religiously. I believe that. My youngest grandson, the Slurpee Boy is ready to go for his Uni. His class is at 9 am. My son is going to drop him there. University of Toronto Math and Computer Science Campus, is fifteen minutes drive from my place, Pickering. He can drive by himself but car park over there is too far. Buses go there too, but in mornings, are a bit crowded. He likes to go with his dad, whenever he can.  I am ready to go with them. I will do my exercises and have breakfast after. It is always good to avail any opportunity, we can have, to get out, to change our scenery. I will enjoy the beautiful view around. Fall colors are amazing. I am outside, waiting for my son. My driveway is almost, covered with Gold. I can see some Bronze and C

This is Season of Change

25th October 2022 It is 8.45, I am done with my breakfast, enjoying tea at my deck, walking around. Chairs are wet. I think, it must be raining, early morning. Deck is also not dry, slightly wet, all covered with moisture. Flowers are losing battle. It looks, they will give up, ultimately. They already did enough. Not their fault. There is time to go for everyone. Cycle of life is like that. Everyone passes through stages. We all have to accept that with grace. Some flowers are brave enough, still smiling sheepishly. It is end of the year. Two more months to go. Snow will be here for we Canadians, any time soon. Summer is leaving ground, taking time off, will be back next year. OK, Good bye dear. Thanks for making our days brighter. Love to see you again.  It is mixed sunny cloudy morning. Sun is awake but, he is still under his hazy blanket. Now I can see some light, may be, he is peeping  through  the blanket. He will be out soon, to start his day.  Trees around, are looking beauti

It is Zero C, 8.30 morning. I am leaving with my son to drop my youngest grandson to his Uni. It is 10 minutes drive. He has two Quiz today, one is at 9.15. Buses go from Highway 2 and Whites Road intersection. It is 10 minutes walk, for him, not good today. He has to be relaxed before his exams. I will have my breakfast after, I be back. We have to avail any chance to get out, to change our scenery. I will enjoy Fall colors, all along.  Autumn is unique season, gives us opportunity to enjoy all sorts of beautiful colors. Trees are full of Gold, Orange, Brick Red and all shades of Yellow. Colorful leaves scattered around, add up the beauty of the atmosphere. Amazing. Who likes to miss all that. Not me. I am going with my son. Breakfast can wait. My son and my daughter in law, are booking their Air tickets. They have two weeks vacation. They will be leaving by end of the month. It will be nice for them to have  time alone, to enjoy together. I will be with my three grand kids, feeling

Pearls are scattered in my garden

Beautiful bright sunny morning. My deck is all wet, means, it was raining in early hours. Grass is lush green, looking great with rain drops glistening like pearls scattered around. Single Red Canadian Rose is smiling. White platter with pinkish purple, lilac color flowers,  is adding up color to the scenic atmosphere.  Flowers all around, started looking tired.  I don't see many in my garden. Just couple of yellow and red, are there. Not in good shape. It is 8.30 morning, 4 C , will be 9 C later on, in the afternoon. Looks, winter is just around the corner, will be here, any time soon.  I am off today, don't have to go to work. Have to chalk out plans for my day. I checked my table calendar. I am done with my laundry. Yesterday I did two loads of my clothes, bed sheets and towels. My bed sheets are all clean. I washed my hair too, yesterday. I am all set.  Today, will make calls to my friend. She lives in Markham, twenty minutes away. We did our college and Uni years togethe

14th October 2022 Hazy sky, cloudy morning. It just started raining, not heavy, it is like a drizzle. My deck already wet, must be raining early morning too. It is 8.30, 5 C. According to Weather Channel, sun will be out of his blanket soon. Let's see. It's predictions might come true.  It is Tuesday, I have to go to work to play my Darts. For now, I am sitting in my eat in kitchen, having my breakfast, also enjoying the beautiful view in front, through big glass panels of my patio doors.  Rain drops look like pearls on the lush green grass of my back garden. Gold, Copper and Bronze leaves are scattered all around. Single Canadian Rose looks tired, still smiling to make our day. Red, White and Yellow flowers are looking great, after having morning shower. White and Brick Red planters, lined up, by the side of my deck, are full of pinkish purple, Lilac and Red flowers. Last couple of more days of summer, to enjoy for them. Weather started changing. It will be done soon for flo

My Windsor Trip is Over

11th October 2022 Beautiful morning. It is 8.45, I am done with my breakfast. Sun is shining up and above. Just couple of more days of summer to go. It is 6 C right now, will be 16 C later on. I am back from my trip to Windsor. My son's childhood friend's son was to be married over there. Wedding was great. Me, my son and my daughter in law, were staying 10 minutes away from Hotel Marriott, the  wedding place. It was two day event. Monday was long weekend in Canada. We left on Saturday morning, were back on Monday evening. London is half way to Windsor from Pickering, while passing through London, it reminded me of the time when my eldest grandson, the Lucky Guy was doing his Ivey degree at Uni of Western Ontario. His parent were busy shunting between Pickering and London, during his four years stay. I also enjoyed trip to my Grandson's place couple of times, in those days. He is done with that, working for about two years. Time flies.  Detroit is next to Windsor. We enjo

Going to Wedding in Windsor

7th October 2022 Nice beautiful bright day.  It is 8.30 in the  morning 5 C, slightly cold, windy too. Trees around shaking their heads, may be feeling cold, shivering. Red and yellow flowers giving colors in the flower bed, at back of my garden. Our BBQ is already under cover, staying at the end of our Deck. It is done for now, till summer be back.  Pinkish purple, the Lilac flowers are smiling in white planters by the side of my Deck . Their smile is not the same. They  look a bit shy,  may be not feeling well because of weather.  My deck is wet. It was raining early morning. Rain drops are scattered like pearls, all around on the green of my garden. Pink Canadian Rose is smiling, in front, to make my day. I am walking on my deck, barefoot, to have a feel of rain water. It always reminds me of my childhood time.  I think, there is a kid hiding somewhere inside, in every Human. That kid wants to push you to do things, kids like to do. Nothing wrong to behave like a kid. To be out of

Enjoying My Golden Era

Image
Beautiful day Sunny, Clear Blue sky. It is morning 9 C, will be warmer 20 C later on. It is 8.45, I am busy in my kitchen, making oatmeal porridge and stir fried egg for my breakfast. Some days, we start late. My sleep was fine, no complaints about that. I think at our age, we are blessed. No time pressure to go to work or school.  We are done with our responsibilities.  Our kids are no more kids. They are busy with their own family, with matters of their own. No more our problems. We can enjoy our time with whatever we like to do. Old age, I take like our Golden Era. We can pick and choose to do things. Some days, we can start late. Nothing wrong with that. Take things easy to enjoy your day. This is our time. We are in command. to plan our day.  Tuesdays, I don't have to go to work, to play Darts. I can take a break. I can enjoy getting a bit late out of  my bed.  Anyway, my oatmeal is done. I take honey with warm water before my breakfast, good for stomach, to clear it off. I
