I am having a day off

Bright beautiful morning. It is 8.20, 2 C. I am in my room, ready to do five minutes exercises for my right leg pain. My therapist gave me some printouts to do that. If we go to doctor, we have to follow his instructions religiously. I believe that.

My youngest grandson, the Slurpee Boy is ready to go for his Uni. His class is at 9 am. My son is going to drop him there. University of Toronto Math and Computer Science Campus, is fifteen minutes drive from my place, Pickering. He can drive by himself but car park over there is too far. Buses go there too, but in mornings, are a bit crowded. He likes to go with his dad, whenever he can. 

I am ready to go with them. I will do my exercises and have breakfast after. It is always good to avail any opportunity, we can have, to get out, to change our scenery. I will enjoy the beautiful view around. Fall colors are amazing. I am outside, waiting for my son. My driveway is almost, covered with Gold. I can see some Bronze and Copper too, but not much. Sky is portraying a beautiful look, like a Bubble paper blended with light blue and white. It is not cloudy, Looks like, sun will be out to shine in full, any time soon.

It is 9.20, I am back from my scenic trip. It was great to enjoy my morning time. Now I will do my exercises and have breakfast. It is 9.45, I am enjoying my morning tea in my back garden, walking around on my deck. Beautiful view, Gold everywhere, all around. What a beauty. Amazing.

My son and my daughter in law, will be leaving in the afternoon, for their two weeks trip to Egypt and Turkey. I decided not to go to my work. I am having a day off, not going to play Darts. It will be good to be around, to help them out, if they need anything. Specially to make good food for them and also packing some snacks for airport. Boarding takes time. They can enjoy their time over there.

It is great to do things for your loved ones, to make their day, to put smile on their faces. We get happiness in return. What goes around, comes back. We have to keep that in mind. We can make our day too, by doing things for others.

  January 12th 2024 It is around mid of January. Time for us to, start getting snow storms. This will be off an on, for the next couple of weeks. It is 10.15, mixed sunny cloudy morning, windy too. Gusts are 38 to 48 km.  Friday used to be my work day, not today. Kids day camp is going on in the library, at my work place. I am off for the whole week. I have to find my own things to do, to get busy. From Monday, things will be back on track. I will be having my regular work hours. It is 11.45, I am getting ready to walk to Tim Hortons. I take it as my second home. I know that it is cold and windy. I am all set with gloves, stole and three layers underneath my winter coat. I will be fine. Whites Road and walkway is, all clear of snow. I see some white patches of snow, by the side of road, under trees and bushes. This is the beauty of Toronto, snow cleared right away. I have to put Reverse Gear

  July 7th 2023 It is hot sunny morning, 9.15 and already 24 C, feel like 26. I woke up early, done with my breakfast. Talked to one of my daughters, my middle one, called me from Grimsby.  She was going home, done with her work. It was a brief talk. She was busy, picking up her son, on the way from school. My other daughters are still at work. They will call me later on. We talk everyday, not much, just to connect.  I am busy with my computer. No message from my childhood friend. She never skips, must be busy. She was at her son's place in Sydney, was planning to go back to Perth, to be with her daughter. She must be stuck, other matters to be resolved. Anyway we have to find our own, "Things to do", to get busy, to make our day. Don't have to wait for people's calls and messages. I am busy playing Scrabble and Card games on my computer. Computer is sort of Blessing for me. I don't know how my Mom used to pass her time without phone and computer. How come she

  June 13th 2023 Beautiful morning. Great weather. It was raining all day, yesterday. Stopped at late night. I was working, Mondays are my work days. Have to go to play Darts. It starts at 9.30 in mornings. We were thirteen all together. Picked our numbers to make teams. Two boards with four teams. Three players in each. One team was odd, I mean with four. Anyway we enjoyed. Thirteen seniors on a rainy day, out to play, to enjoy time together. Amazing at that age. Gives inner peace. Boosts will power with affirmation that we still can do it. Rain or no rain, nothing can stop, to make our day. I think, will is everything behind your motto. When there is a will, there is always a way to go ahead, to move on, to do what you want. Today is Tuesday, weather is great 18 C, a bit on a cooler side. I am off, not working on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Last week I booked my flight to England. My daughters were pushing me for that.
