Image
April 30th 2024 It is Tuesday. I am not working today. No Darts on Tuesdays. I have other plans to get busy to make my day. I have to do two loads of laundry. My clothes, bed sheets and towels are to be done today. I will do that in the morning.  I will start to put clothes in washer before having my breakfast. It will be done side by side. I have small load not big ones. Towels and bed sheets, is a medium load.  It is 10.30, I am done with my breakfast and clothes. Bed sheets and towels are in Dryer. My son is going to lake, I am getting ready to go with him. I have to be quick. Rain is on the way, will start at 11 am. 60 % probability.  It is 10.45, I am at Petticoat Creek. My son has gone for his long walk. I am enjoying by the side of lake, walking around. Water is very quiet, looks great, silver with blue tinge. Looks deep blue at the far end. Not many people here. Just couple of them. One or two are walking with their dogs.  I see couple of birds walking around. Not many. I thi

Spring is time to revive

It is mainly cloudy rainy day today. Sun is not out, hiding somewhere under his hazy blanket. Afternoon may be slightly better. Let's see. For now my walk is not on horizon. I started my day a bit late. We Humans are not Robot. So many things are there to change the normal routine of our body.  The outside atmosphere, our company, behavior of the people around. Our body has ability to absorb and feels for everything. So many things, we observe, changes our routine. Some, we show from our behavior. Some we hide, deep down. It will be like a scar, will affect our personality afterwards.  The things connected to our loved ones, matter a lot. Their behavior to us, how they talk about us. We take all that very seriously. We are not Robot. We have emotions. When we don't react, we feel and if we react, our relationship is done.  We have to disagree, what bothers, still have to be polite. Avoid to take extreme position. Try to maintain relationships. Never close the door to go back.

Spring is time of revival

April 23rd 2024 Beautiful weather sunny and bright. It is 11.45, 12 C, perfect for my walk. It is around more than a month that I haven't been to Tim Hortons. I will go there today. Coffee House is like my second home. Library is like my office, my work place. I go there three days a week from 10 to 12, to play Darts. On Thursdays, from 1 pm to 3, I go there to play Carpet Bowling. We have to engage ourselves after we retire. It is a key to stay positive. Doing nothing will take us down, leading to depression and other health issues.  Doing nothing will never result into anything positive. Our brain gets stagnant with all sorts of thoughts. We start thinking negatives, like we are of no use. Nobody wants us. We are just like an extra piece. No one has time for us and cares. We are useless. All such thoughts will result into extreme negativity. Our mind will not be in good shape to lead our body into any direction. We will get mixed signals and will be confused. We start getting i

I am back to business

It is a mixed sunny cloudy morning 4 C, a bit windy. I was planning to walk to Tim Hortons. I think, I have to skip. Rain is also on the way. We have to adjust to the circumstances. Nothing is a big deal. It is better to switch to plan, 'B', to enjoy our time, to make our day. I was back from my three weeks trip to England, on last Saturday, just a week ago. I am all set, my routine is back to normal. We Humans are amazing creatures, have ability to adjust in all available circumstances.  It is 9.45, I am done with my breakfast, sitting in my room. My computer is switched on. Window blinds are drawn up, I am enjoying view of my front garden. Magnolia tree is looking great, back to life, with pinkish buds all around. Some are smiling, some are with full of laughter. I see some green in all the skeleton trees around. My lawn is lush green. Nature is amazing. Every season is unique with it's own beauty, always provides variety of sceneries, to behold, to cherish. Spring is t

I am back to Toronto

April 16th 2024 I am back from my three weeks trip to England. England, the land of three of my daughters, my sister and of my grand kids. End of my fairy tale period. I was back to Toronto on Saturday, just couple of days ago. It looks to me that I was never been away.  Home is home, I am all set, back to normal. My suitcase is still to be sorted out. I have taken out half of the stuff. Gifts, I bought for my daughter in law and also my daughters sent couple of things for her, I have taken out all that. Daily routine medicines like Calcium, vitamin D, Centrum and some of my clothes, also gone to cupboards and closets, still I have to take out the rest.  I will rearrange my closets. I don't want to do in hotchpotch manner. I will do it properly. For now, I have to focus on my work. I joined my office on Monday. It was great to be with my colleagues. I played Darts from 9.45 to 11.45. It was fun. It is Tuesday, I am off today. Weather is great, beautiful sunny 11 C. I will walk to

From England back to Toronto

I am in Reading at my  youngest  daughter's place. Time flies. Today is my last day in England. My flight is tomorrow afternoon.  End of my three weeks trip.  My trip was great, busy with full of enjoyment. I divided my trip into three of my daughter's places. One week each, in Grimsby, Kent and in Reading. On my last day at Kent, we had sort of mega gathering.  All of my daughters with husbands and all of my grandkids came to Kent to see me. We had lunch together. They gave me gifts too. I had great time with them. Moments to cherish, sort of keepsake for my memory box. My daughters, the Grimbsy and Kent ones, came to Reading with me and my son. My daughter, the youngest one was driving them to her home. They stayed for overnight. It was great  all three of my daughters and my son, having time together, talking, sharing their childhood memories. I was happy to see my kids so connected. Next day, we went to Croydon City Centre,  had lunch. My daughter, the middle one, has her

Trafalgar and London by Night

Weather is windy and a bit on cold side. Today is my daughter's birthday. I am going with her for groceries, will get 'Daughter's tea cup' to surprise her. It is 11 C, still we have to wear gloves and coat. Traffic and weather, are very unpredictable in England. You have to be prepared for anything. Never know, what to face, on the road.  Tomorrow my youngest daughter from Reading, is coming to pick me up. Today is the last day for me in Kent. My daughter and her husband took me to many places. We enjoyed our stay in full. Trafalgar, Oxford street, Hyde Park, Buckingham palace, we covered everything. London by night tour was great, amazing.  My grandkids were kind enough to give their rooms for me and for my son. Not so much space here, in London. In Canada,  population is not much, so we have big houses. It is great of them, to make our stay comfortable.  Kent is a beautiful historical place. Castle and Cathedral, are the main attractions. I love it's High street

From Rochester, England

Beautiful gorgeous morning. It is 11 C. I am in Rochester with my another daughter. Lucky me. I have many places to go, many houses, to stay. Every house looks to me like my own. My daughters keep tracking for what I need. I don't ask and things are there to make my stay comfortable. What else I wish. I believe nothing. Grimsby trip is over now. It was short and sweet. It was for about a week. My daughter took me to so many places, all of my interest. Louth, Cleetorpes sea side, Lincoln, Habbard's  Hill. We had dinner at the famous 'Papa Fish and Chips', by the sea side. She bought me two beautiful dresses and hand bag from Freshney Town Centre. She also got for me, Gold and rust maple leaves brooch from 'Pavers'. Pavers is very good shop at Cleethorpes. I was at the Train station too. I like it very much, small with overhead bridge and just two platforms. Old traditional style station.  I went to Lincoln Cathedral on Easter Monday, I was there at the Mass for

From Louth and Hubbard's Hill

Beautiful mixed sunny cloudy morning, 6 C, rain will be tomorrow, not today. My daughter has some days off from school. She has to drop her son at 9.30 for some extra classes. He is in high school, will go to Uni. in September.  She knows, I like to go to Louth, every time, when I come to Grimsby. I like small towns, such a peaceful atmosphere, you can't find in big cities. Louth is twenty minutes drive from Grimsby. We went to Louth High street.  In England, it is difficult to get parking space, even in small towns. We were lucky, someone was leaving. Have to pay one pound for an hour parking and one and half pound for two hours.   We parked for two hours, it was enough time to walk around.  From there, we went to Hubbard's hill, ten minutes from Louth. It is a beautiful hilly place, with water flowing in the middle and trails to hike around. It is good picnic point.   We were back home at 1 .15, after a short break, went to Cleethorpes, the sea side. Here, it rains so often
