Thought Of The Day

      It's morning, time to have breakfast. The weather looks great, not too cold. I am sitting on one of the red knitted chairs in my back garden. My son got four of these steel chairs years ago from Home Depot. We don't use these chairs so often. Just in a couple of summer days we get a chance to have a seat here to enjoy our back garden. Not on rainy days and not in winter time. Summer for us in Canada comes like a visitor. It doesn't stay long. We look forward to summer days to get ready to hit roads and waters. We all know that it will be short. We try to make maximum use of its short and sweet stay. This is the beauty of Canada that every season is intense, comes in full bloom. Summer time sometimes we have to come across scorching temperatures with plus forty centigrade. Sitting in gardens won't be comfortable on those days.   It's the 4th of August, a rainy and windy day. Gusts are around 35 to 40 mph.  I usually walk in the back garden before having my breakfast, Not possible today. I tried that couple of times. I was about to fall down due to strong gusts. Health and safety has to be our first priority at any age. At our age, we have to be more careful. We don't have much strength with an old body. Anyway, we have to accept whatever is there. I am sitting by the small round table in the kitchen. Having lunch with my daughter. I like this spot. It is closer to the large glass panels. I can enjoy the entire view of the garden. It's raining. Not a heavy rain, just a drizzle. Pink roses look happy. I think they are also enjoying the view. Two pigeons are walking on the lush green grass. It's too windy with strong gusts. I can't go outside to have a feel of all that. I just had lunch with my daughter.     It's a mixed sunny cloudy morning. Grimsby is a bit cooler than the temperature in London.  I am wearing my light jacket while walking in the back garden.  White Butterfly is whispering to the red roses. I think talking about something personal. White butterfly looks a bit shy. I don't have to go closer. Not a good idea to intrude on their privacy.  Red roses look happy. I think they two are close friends. White Butterfly used to come more often to share her moments with these beautiful roses. I think not we humans, all the creatures have emotions. They are not robots. They are much better than us in so many ways. Always come forward to spread happiness, to brighten our day. It's 12. 45, I am getting ready to go to the Freshney shopping center with my daughter. This is the only shopping mall here in Grimsby. Sun is just awake, now out of his grey blanket.     It's a beautiful cloudy morning light drizzle just started. It's not dark and gloomy. I am walking in the garden. Pink flowers look happy, giving me a smile.  White cat with two pitch black spots on her body is sitting on the garden wall. I think she is also enjoying the beautiful view like me. We have to start our day with something positive. I take mornings as the face of our day. Try to usually start my Blogs with the word, “ Beautiful “. Our mind is like a power house. It controls our thoughts and directs our body to act accordingly. We have to think twice before we speak. Specifically, while writing on paper and punching on computers we have to choose positive words. Our words have power, affect and determine how our mind reacts. Our words are the reflections of our thoughts. Our thoughts are like messages delivered to our mind to go in that direction. The mind and body are like two in one, working very closely.     July 15th 2025 I came to Kent at my daughter's place from Camberley just about a week ago. I am all set, feel like I live here. We humans are amazing. Have a quality to adjust with all the circumstances. My daughter leaves at 7.30 early in the morning for her school. I found a library nearby to pass my time. It is not within a walking distance. My son in law drives me there at 12 Noon. So nice of him. He goes to work in the afternoons. My daughter picks me up on the way back from work at 4 pm.   I divide my four hours walking around the High Street. Sitting in the library browsing magazines and some of my time sitting in the garden. Today it is too windy and I forgot to bring my jacket. I am not enjoying my walk and my time in the garden.     Beautiful morning, hot humid day. The sun is shining in full bloom. Weather in England is unpredictable just like its traffic.  Two days ago I was wearing a light jacket while I was walking around the High Street. Today is a totally different scenario. It's 9.15, I am done with my breakfast now sitting in the garden. Flower pots are lined up in front with beautiful roses.  I see a variety of shades and colors of roses pink, red and yellow. Tall trees are making the atmosphere very cozy. Two pigeons are walking by the pink roses flower pot.     Day is bright and beautiful. Breezy morning. Sun is shining in full bloom. Weather is great, perfect and not too hot. My sleep was good too. I am done with my breakfast. I changed my menu here in England. Oatmeal is at a break. Switched to raisin bread and stir fried egg with half a cup of milk. I take Coco pop cereal like snacks with no milk. I know I am having too much. It's like a big breakfast for me. Doesn't matter. We can enjoy whatever we like to have while we are having vacations. Just changed my menu to have a feel. It's 10.30, my daughter is at work. I am sitting in the garden. No red lilies for now. Its flowering season is done. Rose pink and white flowers look great in big pots.     White Butterfly, my friend is here after a long time. I am walking by the Whites Road. She is beside me.  She is fast, I am trying to cope with her steps. She is young and full of beauty. I am old at the later stages of my life cycle. Lost my beauty, lost my touch. It happens to everyone, not only in my case. This is life, comes time for all the creatures big and small.  I am now passing by the small ravine. I see here some dead trees lying down like pieces of wood in the midst of so many greens. This is life my dear. Time comes for everyone to all creatures. We have to accept it with grace. Have to enjoy our time with full zeal and fervor.  We have to celebrate every bit of our time.   We are still waiting for summer in Canada. Still have to dig out our coat closets to bundle up. Rain usually comes late at night or early mornings to brighten our gardens. Grass is now turned into lush green with no brown patches in between. My front garden is looking great. The Magnolia tree on the left is loaded with beautiful peach color flowers with a pinkish hue. Red wooden bench is shining under the tree, adding up the beauty of my garden.  Skeleton trees look happy. Green already started running through their bodies. Looks like soon they will be back on the track. Twin Towers, the two tall trees in the front garden of my next door neighbor, started renovating their apartments to rent out. So much has changed in the past few weeks. It already started looking like a festive atmosphere. People are now in a festive mood. My back garden is a bit slow. Not so much activity there. Great morning 21 C, a bit gusty with wind 54 km. Weather is like a roller coaster. Yesterday was cold. I needed so many things to bundle up for my walk. Today I am wearing a light jacket, not even my long light coat.  Summertime is not long here for us Canadians. We know that, so we enjoy it with full fervor. We start right away getting ready to get out to hit roads, trails and waters. It is a totally different scenario. Birds chirping around. Skeleton trees are back to life. Look happy with green tinge running through their bodies.  Squirrels are busy collecting food. I think they are having parties. Guests must be coming for a get together. Everyone looks in a festive mood, enjoying their time in their own style. Every season is unique with its own beauty. I remember the winter time. People were busy playing ice hockey and fishing in the middle of the frozen lake. They used to enjoy their walks in trails with long heavy coats, snow boots and gloves. We Humans ...

     Yesterday the weather was cold and windy with gusts 54 km. Walk was a bit challenging for me. I made it anyway. Today it is much calmer and not so windy, just38 km. Sunny with 2 C, first time not below zero after a long time. It's Tuesday everyone left for work. Today is garbage pick up day in our neighborhood. Grey, green and blue all sorts are lined up by the side of driveways. It is a working day so not many cars are here. Just a couple of cars are beside the front doors, waiting for order to proceed. I am done with my breakfast and with making some calls. My younger brother is not well, going through his difficult times. With age so many things start coming up. Our body becomes weak, same with our nerves and other powers. It becomes hard to tackle the circumstances. This is the cycle of life. We have to face it with patience. Patience is a virtue, helps to handle things every time. We have to distract ourselves. The more we will be focused we get depressed. Thing...

Charles Dickens was right to mention in one of his beautiful writings.  “ One of those days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold; when it is summer in the light and winter in the shade “.     It's a beautiful morning. Sun is fully awake, looks happy, shining in full bloom, still 7 C below zero. There was light snow yesterday, now it has all melted down. My back garden is a bit quiet. Flowers are having a break, they are done for the season. My friend Black Squirrel has also taken time off, not coming for his exercises on the wooden fence of my garden. Birds, I think, left for South of the Border. I see many of them in the sky, traveling in groups, must be going to the next destination. It doesn't matter, they will be back after a couple of months. Twin Towers, I mean the two tall trees in the front garden of my next door neighbor, are also quiet. No activity there. I think they stopped renting apartments in their facility for a couple of weeks. They will be back to life after. Bird families like to come here.     November 26th 2024 Weather is great, and the day is bright. It's the end of November, still not as cold as we were expecting here in Toronto. It is 6 C, perfect to get out, to get some breeze.  Air must be fresh, crisp and scented with the aroma around. Some plants are transformed into skeletons. I can see many of them in between the greens. Wild flowers are giving color to the atmosphere. It is scenic to behold. My back garden is portraying a totally different scenario. The Canadian rose plant is turned into a skeleton. It was full of pink Roses all around, just a couple of weeks ago.  Same story with the Wine rose plant. So many other plants are also not in a good shape. They all will be back to life with full bloom in March April. That happens every time. Same story every year.      November 9th 2024 It's 10.30 in the morning, I am at a different spot on the lake. It is sort of a forest and a small body of water is running through it. You can enjoy water from everywhere. Sun is shining in full bloom, and the sky is deep blue in color. Water is very clear, I can see through everything deep down. Pebbles look all washed and clean underneath. Water is displaying a beautiful scenic view. There is so much to see, to observe. I am standing on the walking bridge to watch and absorb all the beauty. On my left, the water is very calm and quiet. On my right is a very different scenario. Water is in a festive mood, playing music. I am enjoying the rhythm. It is like a symphony, so melodious. You can get inner peace. It is like Meditation. Anyway I am done here. It's 11.15. I have to go to Coffee house to have a taste of a different atmosphere.     November 2nd 2024 It is Saturday 8.30 in the morning, I am sitting in my kitchen enjoying breakfast and the view of my back garden.  Marigolds are smiling courageously. Gold, brick red, coffee and bronze aĺl color of leaves are scattered around in my garden. Canadian pink roses are done for the season. Same is with the blood red David Austin roses. Grass is covered by leaves, still I see some yellowish green patches on the green lawn of my garden. Lush green season of my lawn is also done for now. Things change.      October 29th 2024 It's a different scenario today. Cloudy morning hazy sky. Sun is hiding under his gray blanket. It is Tuesday so I don't have to go to work. No Darts today at the library. It is a day off for me. I have to make other plans to make my day. Day offs are like clean slates. We have to write our schedule to fill out the columns of the day. When we have to go to work or school, our timings are all set.  We don't have to worry about how to pass our time. We have just a couple of hours left to sort out after coming back from our workplace or school. Weekends and day offs are tricky. We need some homework to fill out our day slots. Try to make it like a combo, a mixed plate to have a taste of everything. Day offs are like blank sheets. We can write, paint, whatever we want to do, to fill out.         October 26th 2024 Another day another morning another brand new pack of twenty four hours to spend how we want, wherever we want to spend. No question asked. Lucky we are. Let's plan for the day. Not enough time. All will be gone, to zero whether we spend or not. Time is like a rare commodity. It goes on evaporating like ice, like spirit. We won't find it after a while. It won't be there anymore. Value it right away as soon as you get up to start your day. You will find it all intact at your door steps. The whole bundle of twenty four hours. Take it and also treat it like a gift from God Almighty. Of course it is a gift from Him for sure. It looks like a commitment from His side to keep on showering this gift for our entire life. Till the last day we are here in this world. We ask for it or not.     October 19th 2024 Beautiful morning colors all around. My back garden is loaded with orange and brick red leaves scattered all over.  Everyone is sleeping in the house. My son and I are early risers. It is good to enjoy a couple of early hours before starting your day. It is like a breather, providing you relaxation. It works like meditation. It's 10.30, I am at Waterfront trails. My son has gone for his long walk. I am taking my time to behold everything around. It is a great scenic view. We have to take time to observe and absorb the beauty. We don't have to just tick marks. We have to stop to watch and to have a feel of that too. There is a long walking bridge. I am taking time to watch the view from there. Water running under, deep down. All sorts of natural flora, we can watch from this spot.    8th October 2024 Another beautiful day. It's 10.30 in the morning. 13 C. Colder days are getting closer. As soon as we are done with our sleep before getting out of bed to start our new day. Try to give yourself some time out to relax to figure out what to do, from where to start. We are humans not robots. So many things affect our mood. Some of our days are tough. Some nights are difficult, we are not able to sleep well. Every day is different, bringing Its own matters to deal with. We have to figure out how to move with that baggage. To forget the past and focus on your present moment is great. My dear, this is all theory, not practically possible to follow. Our past is  always there with us, haunting throughout our life.
