Thought Of The Day

It is Thursday mixed cloudy and sunny day, was raining in the morning at 10.30 stopped. It is 26 C more rain on the way thunder storm after 2 pm. It is 11.30, I am getting ready for my walk. As soon as I step out of my house, I start feeling that I am in a different world. It looks sort of Fairy Land. Birds all around talking in their  melodious tone. All the colorful flowers giving me a welcome nod  putting  smile on their faces. Butterflies busy with their dance practice. I think there is some big event already scheduled. I can see all shades of green. What a wonderful world.  I put aside all of my problems, no worries now. I have to keep my focus here for a while. It is 12.15, I am at Tim Horton enjoying my coffee, writing my Blog. Yesterday my Eldest had his Job interview. To All My Dear Readers I take kitchen as my playground cooking is fun to enjoy  Never try to be specific with recipe first thing is just relax and take it easy No pressure  mix whatever is there and you will get  something tasty out of that I had one potato, one small eggplant I put some cooking oil in the pot on medium flame now put in chopped onion cover the pot leave for  5 minutes stir once a while  let it be slight golden add cumin seeds -- couple of whole black pepper One whole red chili now add chopped tomato  couple of chopped garlic cloves add red chili powder turmeric powder if you have to give color add salt to your taste Now add cut pieces of potato and  pieces of eggplant add some green peas one green chili  you can cut the chili into pieces or take whole Cover the pot leave for 10 minutes at medium flame  after that stir and further lower the flame leave for 10 more minutes It is done now  It has to be juicy when done If

It is Sunday bright sunny morning with 29 C, I see couple of  birds  having their morning walk on my front garden. Black squirrel playing on the wooden fence in my backyard. Pear tree smiling with white flowers all around. After my breakfast I was watching " Little House on the Prairies " to enjoy time with my son. My trip to London is all booked today. It took a while as it involved many people.  My son was on computer checking the flight details but my Daughter in Cryodon, was also in the loop as she and her husband will be picking  me up and dropping me off at London airport. I am leaving on 1st of July morning, will be at London in the evening on  same day. It is 7 plus hours flight. My Daughters must be making big plans for me but I am sure my son will miss me a lot. I trust my kids. Everything done now time for my walk. It is 12.30, I am at Tim Horton enjoying my coffee and writing my Blog. I am happy that things worked out

It is Saturday sunny beautiful morning with 29 C, weather will be hot for couple of months. From mid August, it will take a turn. I mean will start cooling down. In September not easy to go to parks. Windy and cold. Today will be 33 C later on but rain is on the way in the evening. Yesterday at 7 pm, I was at Petticoat Creek. It was beautiful view of the lake with lots of sea gulls, they were all at one spot, amazing. To All My Readers Potatoes are such a neutral medium  from God, we can mix with anything to get many tasty dishes. Yesterday I made Potatoes with green beans to put on the dinner table for my family. I am posting that Recipe here. Take chopped onion put it in a pan with some cooking oil Cover the pot, slightly lower the flame higher than medium flame Stir once a while when onion becomes yellowish  add cumin seeds whole black pepper couple one whole red chili chopped garlic cloves Add chopped tomatoes cover the pot for few minutes  lower the flame to medium Add cut beans - you can cut into any size of your choice pinch of salt red chili powder If you have Turmeric powder add a pinch will give color and it is also medicinal Otherwise forget it Add enough water to get the Beans half cooked cover the pot and leave for 10 minutes on medium flame After 10 minutes add cut potatoes and some tomato puree you can get tomato puree

It is  10.45 am, I am done with my TV time, after that  I spent some time with my computer, now  time for my walk. My son asked me to go to Frenchmen's Bay, after that  he will drop  me at Tim Horton, my favorite spot. It is 11.30, I am at lake standing  at the  point where  water  divides into two portions. On my front is the smaller part of lake, where water is a bit calm. Lots of birds around, Lotus still to come. At my back side, is the main portion of lake with  waves and tides. Water of so many colors, light blue, deep blue,  grey, black  and at some spots, shining like silver and gold. To All My Dear Readers We can make number of dishes from potatoes Wash potatoes cut into big pieces will be easy to  microwave. Put in a bowl cover and microwave for 5 minutes let it be cool down for a while Take a pot with some oil put it on stove with medium flame add some chopped onion cover the pot. Stir once awhile. Let onion be light yellow add pinch of cumin seeds and chopped tomatoes Now take the skin off from the potatoes and mash with any spoon.  Put the mashed potato into the pot add pinch of salt and black pepper red chili powder  one green chili cut into big pieces Cover the pot and leave for couple of minutes  Stir couple of times to mix everything and it is done now Take it with anything you like Bread or crackers make sandwiches or with rice whatever you like Enjoy

It is Tuesday bright morning but not sunny, raining since last night still drizzling. I don't work on Tuesdays. It is  my Calls and laundry day and of course for my walk. It is 16 C, perfect to get out, I am going downstairs to check the rain. The glass top of my patio table in my back garden, works for me  like an apparatus. She lives in Markham 20 minutes away but we don't drive so we don't see each other, still talk every week to keep connection alive.
