Enjoying My Golden Era

Beautiful day Sunny, Clear Blue sky. It is morning 9 C, will be warmer 20 C later on. It is 8.45, I am busy in my kitchen, making oatmeal porridge and stir fried egg for my breakfast. Some days, we start late. My sleep was fine, no complaints about that. I think at our age, we are blessed. No time pressure to go to work or school. We are done with our responsibilities. 

Our kids are no more kids. They are busy with their own family, with matters of their own. No more our problems. We can enjoy our time with whatever we like to do. Old age, I take like our Golden Era. We can pick and choose to do things. Some days, we can start late. Nothing wrong with that. Take things easy to enjoy your day. This is our time. We are in command. to plan our day. Tuesdays, I don't have to go to work, to play Darts. I can take a break. I can enjoy getting a bit late out of  my bed. 

Anyway, my oatmeal is done. I take honey with warm water before my breakfast, good for stomach, to clear it off. I take half a cup of orange juice after my porridge and my multivitamin tablet. Now having stir fried egg. I enjoy my morning cup of tea at the end. It is the last item of my breakfast.

I am outside, to take a quick round of my Deck, to check how cold is outside. Some days, I have to skip, can't enjoy morning tea at my Deck, depending on weather. We have to adjust according to situation. Nothing wrong with that. No hard and fast rules. Take it easy. Start your day with anything you enjoy. 

I am enjoying my honey drink, outside on my Deck, sitting on one of the red, knitted garden chairs. It is chilly, weather looks about to change any time. Just matter of week or days. October already started. Grass is still lush green. I am enjoying the freshly cut grass aroma. Thanks to my son. He did lawn moving last evening. 

Flowers around, adding up color and flavor to the scenic atmosphere. Single Pink Canadian Rose is smiling, pitching in, making his contribution, to make our day. Anyone can make a difference. Everyone matters.

Pinkish Purple, Lilac color flowers looking great in white Planters lined up, by the side of my deck. Brick Red planters are full of white flowers. This is like Cherry on top. Golden Yellow and Red flowers are looking great in flower bed, at the back of my garden.

It is a bit chilly, I am going inside. Sitting now at my eat in kitchen table, enjoying my breakfast and the beautiful view of outside. Things looking great. Thank You God, for providing things to all the Creatures, Big and Small, to enjoy their time, to make their day. Love You.

  January 12th 2024 It is around mid of January. Time for us to, start getting snow storms. This will be off an on, for the next couple of weeks. It is 10.15, mixed sunny cloudy morning, windy too. Gusts are 38 to 48 km.  Friday used to be my work day, not today. Kids day camp is going on in the library, at my work place. I am off for the whole week. I have to find my own things to do, to get busy. From Monday, things will be back on track. I will be having my regular work hours. It is 11.45, I am getting ready to walk to Tim Hortons. I take it as my second home. I know that it is cold and windy. I am all set with gloves, stole and three layers underneath my winter coat. I will be fine. Whites Road and walkway is, all clear of snow. I see some white patches of snow, by the side of road, under trees and bushes. This is the beauty of Toronto, snow cleared right away.   July 7th 2023 It is hot sunny morning, 9.15 and already 24 C, feel like 26. I woke up early, done with my breakfast. Talked to one of my daughters, my middle one, called me from Grimsby.  She was going home, done with her work. It was a brief talk. She was busy, picking up her son, on the way from school. My other daughters are still at work. They will call me later on. We talk everyday, not much, just to connect.  I am busy with my computer. No message from my childhood friend. She never skips, must be busy. She was at her son's place in Sydney, was planning to go back to Perth, to be with her daughter. She must be stuck, other matters to be resolved. Anyway we have to find our own, "Things to do", to get busy, to make our day. Don't have to wait for people's calls and messages. I am busy playing Scrabble and Card games on my computer. Computer is sort of Blessing for me. I don't know how my Mom used to pass her time without phone and computer. How come she

  June 13th 2023 Beautiful morning. Great weather. It was raining all day, yesterday. Stopped at late night. I was working, Mondays are my work days. Have to go to play Darts. It starts at 9.30 in mornings. We were thirteen all together. Picked our numbers to make teams. Two boards with four teams. Three players in each. One team was odd, I mean with four. Anyway we enjoyed. Thirteen seniors on a rainy day, out to play, to enjoy time together. Amazing at that age. Gives inner peace. Boosts will power with affirmation that we still can do it. Rain or no rain, nothing can stop, to make our day. I think, will is everything behind your motto. When there is a will, there is always a way to go ahead, to move on, to do what you want. Today is Tuesday, weather is great 18 C, a bit on a cooler side. I am off, not working on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Last week I booked my flight to England. My daughters were pushing me for that.
