I Did it Made it

September 13th, 2022

Beautiful sunny morning. I am in Vancouver right now. It is 7.30 morning, great weather. I am staying in a bed and breakfast Motel. Have to get ready for my breakfast, to start my day. It is busy for couple of days. Every day in a different city, every night in a different Motel. Mostly on roads. 

My daughter was working, has no vacations, no days off. She suggested, I can go to enjoy, the scenic places around. My son planned this trip for me, starting from Edmonton, Alberta to "Hinton", "Jasper", "Banff", "Ice Field Parkway" and all the way to British Columbia, to Vancouver.

I miss my daughter. She is not with me. I am going back to Edmonton to spend rest of the week with her. I will be leaving on 19th, end of my journey, back to Toronto, to be back on track. My son will be going back with me too. 

Great trip, I am enjoying beautiful waterfalls, canyons, lakes. Every lake is special. One hour away from Vancouver, we had lunch at my son's childhood friend's place, with his family. I know him for long time, his late mom was my friend too. We had great time at his place. 

In Vancouver, Stanley Park, Canada Place, Downtown, the Whistling Clock, Hanging Bridge and so many places to remember, to cherish these special moments. I am glad, I managed to walk all around, especially on the hanging Bridge. That was a bit tricky.

September 14th  2022

I am back in Edmonton, at my daughter's place. She managed to have a week off. It is 8.45, beautiful morning. Weather is great. I am having breakfast, stir fried egg with toasted bread slice, orange juice and my morning cup of tea. Enjoying with my daughter and my son. Feeling like a lucky Mom. 

View of her back garden, is beautiful. I am enjoying that too, out of  the big glass panels of patio doors. Life is good. No complaints. Thank You God for looking after me, for keeping me mobile, to do things, I like to do. I don't deserve all that. You are so Kind.

  January 12th 2024 It is around mid of January. Time for us to, start getting snow storms. This will be off an on, for the next couple of weeks. It is 10.15, mixed sunny cloudy morning, windy too. Gusts are 38 to 48 km.  Friday used to be my work day, not today. Kids day camp is going on in the library, at my work place. I am off for the whole week. I have to find my own things to do, to get busy. From Monday, things will be back on track. I will be having my regular work hours. It is 11.45, I am getting ready to walk to Tim Hortons. I take it as my second home. I know that it is cold and windy. I am all set with gloves, stole and three layers underneath my winter coat. I will be fine. Whites Road and walkway is, all clear of snow. I see some white patches of snow, by the side of road, under trees and bushes. This is the beauty of Toronto, snow cleared right away.   July 7th 2023 It is hot sunny morning, 9.15 and already 24 C, feel like 26. I woke up early, done with my breakfast. Talked to one of my daughters, my middle one, called me from Grimsby.  She was going home, done with her work. It was a brief talk. She was busy, picking up her son, on the way from school. My other daughters are still at work. They will call me later on. We talk everyday, not much, just to connect.  I am busy with my computer. No message from my childhood friend. She never skips, must be busy. She was at her son's place in Sydney, was planning to go back to Perth, to be with her daughter. She must be stuck, other matters to be resolved. Anyway we have to find our own, "Things to do", to get busy, to make our day. Don't have to wait for people's calls and messages. I am busy playing Scrabble and Card games on my computer. Computer is sort of Blessing for me. I don't know how my Mom used to pass her time without phone and computer. How come she

  June 13th 2023 Beautiful morning. Great weather. It was raining all day, yesterday. Stopped at late night. I was working, Mondays are my work days. Have to go to play Darts. It starts at 9.30 in mornings. We were thirteen all together. Picked our numbers to make teams. Two boards with four teams. Three players in each. One team was odd, I mean with four. Anyway we enjoyed. Thirteen seniors on a rainy day, out to play, to enjoy time together. Amazing at that age. Gives inner peace. Boosts will power with affirmation that we still can do it. Rain or no rain, nothing can stop, to make our day. I think, will is everything behind your motto. When there is a will, there is always a way to go ahead, to move on, to do what you want. Today is Tuesday, weather is great 18 C, a bit on a cooler side. I am off, not working on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Last week I booked my flight to England. My daughters were pushing me for that.
