Age is a Number

It is Tuesday morning so beautiful
from my bedroom window all
white dust first snow in Toronto
like an untouched beauty

Kids getting ready for school
I have to chalk out my day plan
as my Senior Club is off today

I will do my hair color change
my bed sheets and do laundry
Washer and Dryer are in the
basement so it will be 3 stairs to go
after that go for grocery with
my daughter in law

This will give me opportunity
to get out in the evening I have
to go to some community
gathering too at someone place

I love to live in day tight
compartment our age is just
a number don't go with that
we have to push ourselves
to keep our body going

Every moment is precious
as it will be lost for ever
we have to drain happiness
and make use of it

We are lucky that we can
move around don't take
your health as granted
we never know God forbid
if we start losing it

Thank God Almighty for
everything we have

  5. Dear Madam Smile,

You not retired, you do so many thing. You should take it easy. I do 2 job but I no busy schedule like you. I know you no want me to say about your only son but I feel bad that you need to do so many thing in one day.

  6. Dear Advisor,

Retirees went through your blog and your tips to us. We don't think that we can follow all these things as it is too challenging for us. Some of the retirees are early retirees, and they are in their mid to late 50s, and they don't believe that even they can do all these things that you have highlighted. I am wondering that you can get us some ideas which are more simpler for us. We do like the bird watching idea because we can sit on a sofa or a chair in the backyard and rest. Other ideas like that will be very helpful to the retiree group.

As for the Smile Walk, unfortunately we did not do that today as well , since our members are thinking of starting something like this on the weekend. Also, we have to decide on the length of the route. We will meet tomorrow to do that.

    thank you
    recent retiree

    1. The third Smile Forum was also a smashing success. Since this was the 3rd Smile forum, I was expecting less people but we still had more people than were invited. We also saw some new faces today. They all will be joining us on the Smile Walk

    3. Smile blogs are popular in all demographics. It would have been understandbale if the older workers are reading the Smile blog but even the young workers as well as the coops flock to these blogs.

    1. Dear Plunker and Batman, We should no say bad thing to mrizvi because Madam told us no. I also angry with mrizvi and also Madam only son. I was angry today blog because Madam only son make her go 3 stairs to wash clothes and she go with daughter of law to get grocery and pay for it, but I no rite bad because Madam say so. I do 2 job but I told me supervisor that I need to go do pray for Madam. He say you no get money for that time but I say to him that ok but I still no rite bad thing about her son and mrizvi. I also wish Madam let us talk but she so good and kind. She keep giving food to son sons everyday and giving money to son and daughter law because they say that this is rent you pay. That very bad. But reader family should listen to Madam. If Madam say day then we say day, if night, then we say night. She big shot. She very knowledge. She very good. I do 2 job but always do what Madam say.
