Change in Scenery

To Err is Human so keep your finger down please
Today it is 6 degrees and windy
dry leaves scattered trees are
losing leaves it is time for winter
change of scenery

Enough of green and flowers
sun getting tired and everything
needs a break time to dozing off

It is morning I am waiting at my
driveway for my friend to go to
my seniors club It is a different look
on streets too people are bundled up

In Canada everything just as a routine
weather can not stop the normal
life even in heavy snow it rarely
happens that schools are closed

We go on adding layers and carry
on our normal routine life
one time I was in London England and
there was some snow and the whole
city was closed for couple of days

We learned to live our life in winter
one time I was in Dubai it was 53
in Ottawa I lived in 30 minus 
We Humans can adopt so quickly

I am not worried about cold and
snow it is just a change in scenery
waiting for the flowers to come
there will be bloom

Life is the same like weather
don't get scared of some 
difficult moments in your life
this Too Shall Pass and there will
be change in scenery hope for the
light at the end of tunnel

    Dear Adviser,

    I get calls every morning after you post the blog. Some of the ideas that you talk to us about are new to us. For example, for us, forget about changing our plans because of weather, we don't even make them if the weather is not good. If it cold, we don't go out, if it is raining, we stay in. We only go if everything is ok. We are not sure how you do it. Some of members mentioned that they never did what you are doing, even when they were in their 30s.

    I am still in need of your advice. I am in so much despair. I thought you will give me advice, all you are giving me is some lecture, like change your name of something like that. What difference will it make, I still remain miserable!

      Dear Reader, I wont say anything negative to you because Smile has asked us to be kind however please consider that you cant demand advice. It is really upto Smile if she chooses to give you advice.

      Also, looking at your attitude, may be it is not the mother in law who has the problem but the daughter in law. Just think about it

      PS: There is a reason I addressed you as a reader, but not as a member of the reader family. If Smile would not have asked us to be good, I would have used different words to describe what I feel

  January 12th 2024 It is around mid of January. Time for us to, start getting snow storms. This will be off an on, for the next couple of weeks. It is 10.15, mixed sunny cloudy morning, windy too. Gusts are 38 to 48 km.  Friday used to be my work day, not today. Kids day camp is going on in the library, at my work place. I am off for the whole week. I have to find my own things to do, to get busy. From Monday, things will be back on track. I will be having my regular work hours. It is 11.45, I am getting ready to walk to Tim Hortons. I take it as my second home. I know that it is cold and windy. I am all set with gloves, stole and three layers underneath my winter coat. I will be fine. Whites Road and walkway is, all clear of snow. I see some white patches of snow, by the side of road, under trees and bushes. This is the beauty of Toronto, snow cleared right away.   July 7th 2023 It is hot sunny morning, 9.15 and already 24 C, feel like 26. I woke up early, done with my breakfast. Talked to one of my daughters, my middle one, called me from Grimsby.  She was going home, done with her work. It was a brief talk. She was busy, picking up her son, on the way from school. My other daughters are still at work. They will call me later on. We talk everyday, not much, just to connect.  I am busy with my computer. No message from my childhood friend. She never skips, must be busy. She was at her son's place in Sydney, was planning to go back to Perth, to be with her daughter. She must be stuck, other matters to be resolved. Anyway we have to find our own, "Things to do", to get busy, to make our day. Don't have to wait for people's calls and messages. I am busy playing Scrabble and Card games on my computer.   June 13th 2023 Beautiful morning. Great weather. It was raining all day, yesterday. Stopped at late night. I was working, Mondays are my work days. Have to go to play Darts. It starts at 9.30 in mornings. We were thirteen all together. Picked our numbers to make teams. Two boards with four teams. Three players in each. One team was odd, I mean with four. Anyway we enjoyed. Thirteen seniors on a rainy day, out to play, to enjoy time together. Amazing at that age. Gives inner peace. Boosts will power with affirmation that we still can do it. Rain or no rain, nothing can stop, to make our day. I think, will is everything behind your motto. When there is a will, there is always a way to go ahead, to move on, to do what you want. Today is Tuesday, weather is great 18 C, a bit on a cooler side. I am off, not working on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Last week I booked my flight to England. My daughters were pushing me for that.
