Silver All Around

Tuesday 13th Dec 2022

It is 8.30 morning, cold 15 C below Zero. We had our first snow fall couple of days back, it is still all around. Skeleton trees look great with white decorations and others with beautiful snow white cottony flowers. Red wooden bench is all covered with white stuff. Sun is in full bloom, shining up and above, smiling and enjoying the entire scenic view. Such a peaceful atmosphere. Under sunlight, Snow is shining, giving a glitter, like Silver. What a beauty, to enjoy, to cherish these moments.

I am done with my breakfast. Not working today, have to find my own things to get busy. I will check my table calendar. I think, have to wash my hair and do my laundry, also have to change my bed sheets. So much to do.

Today is garbage pick up day, in our neighborhood. All Blue, Grey and Green bins, are lined up on driveways, ready to be picked up. I admire and salute all first line workers, who are always there, ready to streamline our day to day workings, to make things easy for us. Thank you Dear. 

I am in my kitchen, making peanut butter jam sandwiches and hot chocolate milk for my youngest grandson, the Slurpee Boy. He has exams today, has to leave at 1.15. My son will drive him to his Uni. I will go with him, to get out, to enjoy my time. We have to avail any chance, available, to change our scenery. It helps to boost up our Mood, gives a push to positivity. Distracts us from negative thoughts.

Just do anything, to get busy, to divert your thoughts, to think positive. It helps our mind and body. Helps to take care of our health too. Get busy with anything, taking care of your health and safety into account. 

My youngest daughter calling me from Reading. She is off today, is busy with her studies. She has to finish her courses until August, to get her Uni degree. It is nice of her to take some time off, to call me, to connect with her Mom. 

We have to appreciate and admire our kids, whatever they can do for we parents. They are busy with their work and with their own families, not good to put extra pressure on them. We have to be considerate, have to let them enjoy their own life. We have to find our own activities, to enjoy our life. Not have to depend on our kids for everything. I think, we have to leave them alone to do whatever they like to do. No dictations.

Dear Friends, I haven't received any of your comments for months. Hope things are fine with you people. Please have patience and try to respect everyone's emotions and personal matters. Try to leave everyone alone and enjoy your own time. Thanks.

  January 12th 2024 It is around mid of January. Time for us to, start getting snow storms. This will be off an on, for the next couple of weeks. It is 10.15, mixed sunny cloudy morning, windy too. Gusts are 38 to 48 km.  Friday used to be my work day, not today. Kids day camp is going on in the library, at my work place. I am off for the whole week. I have to find my own things to do, to get busy. From Monday, things will be back on track. I will be having my regular work hours. It is 11.45, I am getting ready to walk to Tim Hortons. I take it as my second home. I know that it is cold and windy. I am all set with gloves, stole and three layers underneath my winter coat. I will be fine. Whites Road and walkway is, all clear of snow. I see some white patches of snow, by the side of road, under trees and bushes. This is the beauty of Toronto, snow cleared right away.   July 7th 2023 It is hot sunny morning, 9.15 and already 24 C, feel like 26. I woke up early, done with my breakfast. Talked to one of my daughters, my middle one, called me from Grimsby.  She was going home, done with her work. It was a brief talk. She was busy, picking up her son, on the way from school. My other daughters are still at work. They will call me later on. We talk everyday, not much, just to connect.  I am busy with my computer. No message from my childhood friend. She never skips, must be busy. She was at her son's place in Sydney, was planning to go back to Perth, to be with her daughter. She must be stuck, other matters to be resolved. Anyway we have to find our own, "Things to do", to get busy, to make our day. Don't have to wait for people's calls and messages. I am busy playing Scrabble and Card games on my computer.   June 13th 2023 Beautiful morning. Great weather. It was raining all day, yesterday. Stopped at late night. I was working, Mondays are my work days. Have to go to play Darts. It starts at 9.30 in mornings. We were thirteen all together. Picked our numbers to make teams. Two boards with four teams. Three players in each. One team was odd, I mean with four. Anyway we enjoyed. Thirteen seniors on a rainy day, out to play, to enjoy time together. Amazing at that age. Gives inner peace. Boosts will power with affirmation that we still can do it. Rain or no rain, nothing can stop, to make our day. I think, will is everything behind your motto. When there is a will, there is always a way to go ahead, to move on, to do what you want. Today is Tuesday, weather is great 18 C, a bit on a cooler side. I am off, not working on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Last week I booked my flight to England. My daughters were pushing me for that.
