Just Nothing
It is 7 in the morning a different
scenery today very light pinkish hue
emerging at the bottom of the dark
sky which becomes grey while
meeting the pinkish borderline
just above the dark roofs of houses
Trees, road and driveway all
trying to emerge to give their
clear picture
I switched my computer on to check
my Face book messages from my
Daughters in England and from my friend
in Sydney
My friend's cousin is in hospital
she was worried because of him
I started thinking that how strong are we ?
or how weak we are as nothing is
in our power
All is guided and controlled from
the Power above and High
our mind and our body and
all body parts are under His control
We are here for a given time allotted
and with the power which is considered
to be given we have to act accordingly
We forget everything and start boasting
taking each of our success stories as
our own accomplishment
whole of our life stories are around
" Me " and " I "
We never think just for a minute
if these powers taken away if
our time of stay is discontinued
what will be left
"Just Nothing " so don't be proud
of your success your talents
your body and your soul all
is from God my dear
We have no power we are just
puppets in His hand so just
relax and try to behave have a
good time and be thankful to
to the Almighty
Dear Madam Smile, you so nice. You write nice blog and never boast. You scientist and never boast. You do so many things and never boast. I do 2 job and sometimes boast. I will stop doing that
ReplyDeletemrizvi: See Madam's blog. It will help if you read
Why do you boast for doing only 2 jobs?

ReplyDeleteWe enjoyed today's blog two fold - for the content as well as timing. From content perspective, the quality of the blog is quite high, as always. I (Linda) specially like the messaging and thought that you embed in the blog. From Timing perspective, I (Dave) likes how you times these blog. For instance, today's blog is perfect for a Friday as we wrap up our work week. We both have some takeaways from it that we will be sure to make use of today and during the weekend.
ReplyDeleteThank you for enriching our lives with your wisdom and thoughtful writing

I have posted the blog in the Smile Corner

We discussed shortlisting of Smile's blogs for the Toastmasters meeting. Though we tried hard, we are still coming up with at least 2 blogs that we think should be discussed. We reviewed the blog from cultural nourishment and value perspectives. As we only have an hour set aside for the Toastmasters meetings, we are deciding that the next Toastmasters meeting will be completely set aside for Smile's blogs. There will not be time to discuss any other agenda items

Great idea. I completely support it

ReplyDeleteFellow Writer.
Once again, you have reminded us that we should not be arrogant rather one should be humble and should always be thankful to God for all his achievements.
ReplyDeleteMy Smile is amazing! She is an amazing writer! She is amazing parent! She is an amazing scientist! She is amazing philosopher! What an amazing person my Smile is!!
ReplyDelete@ mrizvi: You are really awful! We keep asking you to read. And yet nada
Ok. I have to take a deep breath to say anything. This blog is so so beautiful Every day something new. I mean not just little bit new but completely different topic. It has got everything. You want scenery, Smile has go that. You want advice, Smile has got that. You want literature, Smile has got that. You want travel, Smile has got that. Basically, Smile has got everything and plus a few addtitional items
ReplyDelete@mrizvi: You and your rebellious attitude is not helping at all. You are actually hurting yourself. We are all trying to save you from yourself.
I read the blog with a cup of coffee. I was ready to write the review, which would have been very positive. And then ... And then I saw mrizvi's intelligent commentary. And that threw me off.
ReplyDeleteI mean, Smile is working so hard to write great things for us. She is giving a million advices to retirees and they come back for more, and she does not complain. She is so generous with everyone. She do all this work despite her son, who is a corporate hot shot but still asks Smile for money, leaves her to take care of his whinny kids, and so much more. And yet what does Smile get from us? Zero. Nothing. Zit.
And that would have been enough. but mrizvi jumps in everyday with her "Good post" mantra. O mean just give it a rest. Skip the comment for a day or two.
All this got me in such a bad mood
mrizvi: you are so disappointing
Loved the blog, as always. However like others I too am upset with mrizvi's "good post" comments. She just does not care. I fail to understand why she is doing this. It is upsetting to so many readers family. She is the only one who is rude. We do have someone in the family who just writes +1 but s/he does not comment. S/he is respectful to Smile and the family. Perhaps s/he does not have good english or s/he is shy. But with mrizvi .... I am simply speechless
