It was month of May month of
My Birthday there was a Ballot Box in
the Library from Durham Region
for Seniors to put their Dreams
to come true

I started thinking at this age
is there any Dream left then
I just jot down whatever came in
my mind at that time

My Dream was
My Son takes me to Eat out
I dream sometimes I can
take My Family somewhere
for Dinner as a Head of family

Last week I got a call that I am the
winner of My Dream program
now I am taking my family of five
my 3 Grandsons My son and my
Daughter in law to a private full
Dinner service arranged by the City
I think it is worth to celebrate

Today was the Day which I was
looking forward but the Venue
was Retirement Home in Durham
Region so I was not excited

What I was thinking like a small
room to fit in My Family and
believe me a bit nervous for the
reaction from My Family after Dinner

When I entered the Place I was ready
to take out my Seniors Club Card
to verify my Identity which they
never looked at

They gave me a real VIP welcome
like an honored Guest escorted
My Family to a Beautiful Dining Room
with flowers and Silver arrangement

They serve Full Course Dinner with
utmost hospitality and service
personalized attention to each of
My Family member

They were waiting for us in the
Lobby to see us off
They really made me Proud of Myself
I was looking as a Head of family
with smiling faces of My Family

    The blog was a pleasant read. We were so thrilled and excited for you. Wed also found it quite interesting that unlike many others who would dream for objects with monetary value, your dream involved happiness and generosity. This is something that we also see through these writings of yours.

    We are glad that you enjoyed the dinner with your family. Our members are asking if this is similar to the Disney vacations and timeshares offerings? ie where you are asked to go through a presentation first and then are pressured to buy somethings?

    This is s fantastic! The dream was unreal, very thoughtful, very kind, very giving. The fact that you won it was amazing, could not have happened to a better person that you. The dinner itself, and the way the retirement home folks treated you folks was really neat. It is so good that you had that as the week, specially the bus accident was very unnerving.

  January 12th 2024 It is around mid of January. Time for us to, start getting snow storms. This will be off an on, for the next couple of weeks. It is 10.15, mixed sunny cloudy morning, windy too. Gusts are 38 to 48 km.  Friday used to be my work day, not today. Kids day camp is going on in the library, at my work place. I am off for the whole week. I have to find my own things to do, to get busy. From Monday, things will be back on track. I will be having my regular work hours. It is 11.45, I am getting ready to walk to Tim Hortons. I take it as my second home. I know that it is cold and windy. I am all set with gloves, stole and three layers underneath my winter coat. I will be fine. Whites Road and walkway is, all clear of snow. I see some white patches of snow, by the side of road, under trees and bushes. This is the beauty of Toronto, snow cleared right away.   July 7th 2023 It is hot sunny morning, 9.15 and already 24 C, feel like 26. I woke up early, done with my breakfast. Talked to one of my daughters, my middle one, called me from Grimsby.  She was going home, done with her work. It was a brief talk. She was busy, picking up her son, on the way from school. My other daughters are still at work. They will call me later on. We talk everyday, not much, just to connect.  I am busy with my computer. No message from my childhood friend. She never skips, must be busy. She was at her son's place in Sydney, was planning to go back to Perth, to be with her daughter. She must be stuck, other matters to be resolved. Anyway we have to find our own, "Things to do", to get busy, to make our day. Don't have to wait for people's calls and messages. I am busy playing Scrabble and Card games on my computer. Computer is sort of Blessing for me. I don't know how my Mom used to pass her time without phone and computer. How come she

  June 13th 2023 Beautiful morning. Great weather. It was raining all day, yesterday. Stopped at late night. I was working, Mondays are my work days. Have to go to play Darts. It starts at 9.30 in mornings. We were thirteen all together. Picked our numbers to make teams. Two boards with four teams. Three players in each. One team was odd, I mean with four. Anyway we enjoyed. Thirteen seniors on a rainy day, out to play, to enjoy time together. Amazing at that age. Gives inner peace. Boosts will power with affirmation that we still can do it. Rain or no rain, nothing can stop, to make our day. I think, will is everything behind your motto. When there is a will, there is always a way to go ahead, to move on, to do what you want. Today is Tuesday, weather is great 18 C, a bit on a cooler side. I am off, not working on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Last week I booked my flight to England. My daughters were pushing me for that.
