I am not Scared

It looks now Fall everything so quiet
Sun is tired or like taking a Nap
plants are still and quiet I think a bit
worried about their flowers and leaves 
who are planning to move out

 Flowers not blooming anymore
Birds going South I was waiting
for my bus in the morning
suddenly I noticed besides
Tim Hortons Drive Through

A bunch of birds making lots of noise
may be getting ready to leave and
shouting at their Kids who always
not ready on time

I think Fall is the gap period which
God provides us to harbor our seeds
of Creativity to bloom after
so I am not scared

It is a period of doing Nothing
to be more productive after 
God provides us to slow down
and take a deep breath
time to Ponder

    This was a very pleasant read. We thought this reads like some of the Charles Dickens or Thomas Hardy novels. As the gentleman with multiple employment indicated, it does read a lot like classic English literature. Thoroughly enjoyed it

      Cleo, Adrian and Mathew had a big friendly competition going on. They all want to be acclaimed as Smile's biggest fan :-)

      Ken and Peter loved the blog today. They thought that this is one of the classiest ever from Smile. Ken loves literature and has got all the top 10 list memorized (almost), he thought that this compares to the ones he had read.

    Dear Advisor,

    Thank you for your beautiful blog. The retirees enjoyed it a lot. They particularly enjoyed the simile that you used eg sun is tired and taking a nap. They also liked the implicit message of hope and inspiration.

    Also, an update that we are meeting later this week to go through the blog that you posted for us last week and also to go through the shortlist of suggestions/tips that were compiled by our ex corporate executive. As I requested last week, it will be helpful if you can provide your thoughts or some additional items

    I read it multiple times. I used to wonder why people read this blog in the morning, ie with their morning coffee or breakfast, but not I understand it. I am planning to start doing the same

  January 12th 2024 It is around mid of January. Time for us to, start getting snow storms. This will be off an on, for the next couple of weeks. It is 10.15, mixed sunny cloudy morning, windy too. Gusts are 38 to 48 km.  Friday used to be my work day, not today. Kids day camp is going on in the library, at my work place. I am off for the whole week. I have to find my own things to do, to get busy. From Monday, things will be back on track. I will be having my regular work hours. It is 11.45, I am getting ready to walk to Tim Hortons. I take it as my second home. I know that it is cold and windy. I am all set with gloves, stole and three layers underneath my winter coat. I will be fine. Whites Road and walkway is, all clear of snow. I see some white patches of snow, by the side of road, under trees and bushes. This is the beauty of Toronto, snow cleared right away.   July 7th 2023 It is hot sunny morning, 9.15 and already 24 C, feel like 26. I woke up early, done with my breakfast. Talked to one of my daughters, my middle one, called me from Grimsby.  She was going home, done with her work. It was a brief talk. She was busy, picking up her son, on the way from school. My other daughters are still at work. They will call me later on. We talk everyday, not much, just to connect.  I am busy with my computer. No message from my childhood friend. She never skips, must be busy. She was at her son's place in Sydney, was planning to go back to Perth, to be with her daughter. She must be stuck, other matters to be resolved. Anyway we have to find our own, "Things to do", to get busy, to make our day. Don't have to wait for people's calls and messages. I am busy playing Scrabble and Card games on my computer. Computer is sort of Blessing for me. I don't know how my Mom used to pass her time without phone and computer. How come she

  June 13th 2023 Beautiful morning. Great weather. It was raining all day, yesterday. Stopped at late night. I was working, Mondays are my work days. Have to go to play Darts. It starts at 9.30 in mornings. We were thirteen all together. Picked our numbers to make teams. Two boards with four teams. Three players in each. One team was odd, I mean with four. Anyway we enjoyed. Thirteen seniors on a rainy day, out to play, to enjoy time together. Amazing at that age. Gives inner peace. Boosts will power with affirmation that we still can do it. Rain or no rain, nothing can stop, to make our day. I think, will is everything behind your motto. When there is a will, there is always a way to go ahead, to move on, to do what you want. Today is Tuesday, weather is great 18 C, a bit on a cooler side. I am off, not working on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Last week I booked my flight to England. My daughters were pushing me for that.
