Sun is out of his comforter

Image
It is 10.15, I am done with, having my breakfast, in my eat in kitchen. Sitting  beside patio doors, now enjoying with, whatever is going on in my back garden. Two Red Cardinals having their morning treats, in one of the bird feeders, in front. Black Squirrel is done with his exercises, now relaxing near the wooden fence, on the side of my lush green garden.  TV is on, I can see highlights of the last night Leaf's winning game. Ice Hockey is very popular here in Canada. Maple Leaf is Toronto team. People are hooked  up with hockey games, keeping track of their favorite team placements in Playoff games. My time at downstairs, is done. Now time to go upstairs, to be in my room. It is time to be with my computer, to connect with my, far away family and friends. Time to have a seat beside my table, to watch through the window, to connect with the world outside.  It is mixed sunny cloudy morning. Looks very windy. I just checked the weather web site, wind gusts are...

The Fragrance in the atmosphere

Image
It is 9.45, beautiful mixed sunny cloudy morning. I am done with my breakfast, enjoying my morning tea, walking around on my deck. Last evening, my son was doing lawn mowing of the garden. Atmosphere is fully  loaded with the fragrance of freshly cut grass. I see the small red bird sitting on top of the tree. She is reluctant to come to the bird feeder. I think, I have to go inside. We Humans have something, enough to scare other creatures. They don't feel comfortable to come closer.  Why to talk about other creatures, people of our own family, I mean of our own Human family, not getting along. We always find our ways to divide people into groups. We find lame excuses of  Cast, Creed and Religion, to get  our job done. Job of making divisions. We have to work a lot, to improve, be more compassionate, more empathetic, so to live with everyone around, in harmony and peaceful atmosphere. I believe, we will be more happy, if we let others live their lives.  t...

Small Green Bird in my Bird Feeder

Image
Beautiful morning. Sun is shining after couple of mixed sunny cloudy mornings. It is still cold 3 C, wind gusts around 34 km. I am having my breakfast, in eat - in kitchen, next to my patio door, from here I can have the view of my back garden. The view of my Bird feeders, to check the visitors in my garden. The Red Cardinals, the Brown Rabbit and my friend, the Black Squirrel.  My TV is on, News Channel displaying Covid updates. The number of cases. How many positive, how many in hospitals, in ICU and so on. Things not getting better even after Vaccinations. Variants are now making a mess. We have to be careful. Have to follow the Directives. Have to keep social distancing and have to use Masks whenever required. This is for everyone safety and for our own safety too. I think there is nothing total plus or total minus. I mean everything is like a mixed plate. Like a mixed cloudy sunny day. There is always something positive behind every negative. I think, it is how we take ...

She is shy not impolite

Image
Beautiful morning. Sun in full bloom. Birds are back. Squirrel is back on his routine schedule for his exercises on the wooden fence of my garden. My bird feeder is back to life with couple of Red small birds, the Northern Cardinals around. Grass is lush green. I am enjoying and happy to see all that, just missing one of my friend, the White Butterfly. She will also be back soon. We have to think positive. I am done with my breakfast, now time to be in my room, to be with my computer, to connect with my friends and family. Time to connect with my neighborhood and the world outside. My front garden looks great. Magnolia tree on the left, is full of buds. I can see Dark Red streak in their bodies. They look, full of life, full of energy, about to burst out into beautiful lovely flowers. It is just matter of days. Trees around, no more look like bare skeletons. They look confident, strong, ready for a come back. My Red wooden bench shining on the green of my garden. Black Squirrel h...

Magnolia tree and my Red wooden Bench

Image
It is a mixed sunny cloudy morning. Sun is still hiding, shy to come out from, under the misty skies. It still, looks like a beautiful morning. Skeleton trees around, look great with green tinge on their bodies. Magnolia tree on the left of my front garden, is loaded with buds. Buds ready to burst out, to pop up soon. To be transformed into beautiful flowers. Red wooden bench is shining by the side of my garden. Couple of birds enjoying their morning walk, having chit chat. What a beautiful view to behold.  I know there is Pandemic going on. That is real, not make up stories. We watch all the times on News Channels. Life looks into trouble. We start thinking negative. Looks, there is nothing to enjoy. Anything can happen, any time. That is OK. We have to follow the Directives. Take things seriously. Have to keep social distancing. Have to use Masks, whenever required.  With all that, life is still good. God is watching over us. He is providing so many options to enjoy, ...

My Basket Ball Pole is back to life

Image
Beautiful morning, I am having breakfast, sitting beside my patio door, enjoying my oatmeal porridge, stir fired egg and my morning cup of tea. It  was raining for couple of days. Today, it is m ixed sunny and cloudy morning. We have three Bird feeders in our back garden. I keep on checking from behind glass doors, to watch the traffic. I mean, watch for birds. Look like, one Bird Feeder is the popular one. Two Red small birds, the Northern Cardinals keep coming to have snacks over there.  The other two Feeders are more attractive, full of delicious stuff, still waiting for visitors. I don't know why, birds ignoring all that. I think, big mansions, beautiful houses, doesn't mean anything. People have their own instincts, which lead them to go the place of their choice. Same must be the case with birds too.  It is 10.30, my time to enjoy my back garden is done. This is time for me to be with my computer, to connect with my family and friends. Time to look through my...

Red Cardinals and Black Squirrel

Image
It is 9.15, I am done with breakfast, enjoying my morning tea on the deck. Great view of beautiful morning. Spring showering it's glamour all around. I can hear, birds having chit chat, must be making plans to eat out. They know, we have to follow the directives, have to keep social distancing. They will manage. It was raining last night. Everything looks great after having shower. We have three bird feeders in our back garden. Red small birds, the Northern Cardinals keep coming on one of the feeder. Squirrel also enjoying the free treat. Yesterday I noticed two small Brown Rabbits were here too. They are regular visitors for couple of years, in spring time. It is 10.15, time to go to my room, to be with my computer, to connect with my family and friends. We have to divide our day into slots, to get busy, to live in day tight compartment. To not to leave any space for negative thoughts. This keeps us on right track, away from thinking negative.  Keep your day plan ready befo...

Enjoying My Bird Feeders

Image
It is morning, I am having breakfast in my eat in kitchen, sitting beside my Patio door. My back garden displaying a beautiful view to behold. Sun is in full bloom. Grass is lush green. Couple of days back, my son set up two bird feeders in my back garden. Two beautiful Red color small birds discovered that. They are coming for their food. I checked the web site. These are called Northern Cardinals.  This morning I noticed one more bird coming to the other bird feeder. This is small black bird. Setting bird feeders, is not rocket science and not costly. We got it from Dollarama. The Dollar stores are very popular here. You can get variety of stuff between range of one to five or sometimes seven dollars budget. You can hang Bird feeders along plant branches or tie up in your balcony, or can set up hanging outside your window. Trust me, it is fun to wait for them and keep watching, whenever they are there. This is more than enough to make your day. Bird feed also doesn't cost much....

Spring is revival of life

Image
Beautiful sunny morning with 2 C below zero. I am sitting in my eat in kitchen, beside my Patio. Having my breakfast, my oatmeal porridge, stir fried egg and my morning cup of tea, also enjoying the view of my back garden. Deck is shining under the full bloom sun. Grass is lush green. Couple of birds having their morning walk on the grass. My friend the Black Squirrel is back for his exercises on the wooden fence of my garden. Beautiful view to behold, to cherish.  It is 10.15, I am done with my breakfast, now time to be in my room, to be with my computer, to connect with my family and friends also to connect with the view outside. It is quiet in my neighborhood. I think, it is long weekend, may be people are still in bed. Most of the cars are hiding in garage, some are on driveways, waiting for orders, to proceed.  Red wooden bench shining, giving color to the green of my front garden. Magnolia tree on the left, is all set to be with flowers around. Skeleton trees , no ...

Feel Lucky Not Lonely Not Alone

Image
It is 9.15 morning. I am done with my breakfast, sitting in my room. My computer is switched on, in front of me, to browse Facebook messages, to connect with my family and friends. Window blinds are drawn up, to connect with the world outside. I feel lucky, not alone, not lonely.  My daughter, the middle one, called from Grimsby. She was going home, done with her work, was picking her son from school. Day is nearly done at her place. She lives in different time zone. England is five hours ahead of the time in Toronto. I got message from my childhood grade five friend. She lives in Perth, Australia, at other side of the world. She writes to me every day. Nothing special. We share day to day routine matters, to keep our connection alive. Nowadays, she is not in a good shape. Not having good night sleep. Facing the problems of our age.  Sharing is communicating with the person, you trust. It doesn't solve the problem but lowers down the intensity level, the gravity of the ...

Letter To My Dear Readers

Image
Dear Friends in Ireland I am happy for you people. I salute the Mayor for respecting people's wishes and making arrangements to have Covid vaccine at Smile Corner. World will be a much better place if people start respecting other's emotions and feelings. Dear Reader doing 2 Jobs before, why you doing one Job nowadays. Please always listen to your supervisors and also to the Happy Worker. Thank you. Dear Retiree Friends, please ask the Indian people, not to bracket me with any Cast and Creed. I don't like that at all. I mentioned so many times that I believe, we all are members of the same Human Family and Creatures of the same God. They have to respect everyone's emotions. They also don't have to dictate Hijab Lady and her friends to do things. Ask them to leave everyone alone. Please follow the Directives. Have social distancing, use Masks whenever required and book appointments for Covid vaccination. Thanks. We have to follow the rules. This is for our own safe...

Something To Make Our Day

Image
It was raining all night, still drizzling. Things looking great after shower. It is 8.15 in the morning. I am done with my breakfast, now sitting in my room. My computer is switched on, inviting me to be with my loved ones. To be with my family and friends. Blinds of my windows are drawn up, inviting me to connect with the world outside. I am going through my Facebook messages also enjoying the scenic view through the glass of my side window. Grass looks greener on my front garden. Skeleton trees no more shaky, look confident. They know, days of snow and sub zero temperatures, are now done. Time to enjoy, to have party, to have visitors. They know it is time to have social distancing, they will manage. Red wooden bench shining at the side of my garden. Magnolia tree looks, all set to have flowers soon. Last night, my grand kids, youngest one, the Slurpee Boy and  middle one, the Master Golden, managed to take the basket ball net out from under the trees. Net was lying down o...

Be Generous to Have Just a Piece

Image
Beautiful morning. Sun is shining in full bloom. I noticed that green tinge now in abundance, on my front garden. Magnolia tree on the left, started budding, giving signals that spring is just around the corner. Get ready, make plans to enjoy, to get out. Ready to smell Roses. Watch birds, floating on the lake and roaming on blue sky. Butterflies will also be here any time soon, whispering to flowers, sharing their beautiful moments with their loved ones. It will be a scenic view around. Skeleton trees look happy, smiling and confident. They were very patient, waited so long for all this. Patience is virtue, always pays off.  Red wooden bench looks great, shining on my front garden.  My back garden is also giving a beautiful view to behold. Deck is out of the white mess. Glass top of my garden table, is shining, no more sheet of ice. Table looks wonderful with steel chairs around. I think, my friend, the Black Squirrel will be here soon, back on the wooden fence for His...

I am Working Part Time

Image
Friday -- Beautiful sunny morning with 2 C below zero. Looks like summer here in Canada. Birds started coming back from South of the Border. Magnolia tree on my front garden, started coming, back to life. Skeleton trees around, not shaky anymore, look confident. Signs of revival of life everywhere. Nowadays  I am working part time.  It is 9.15, I am  getting ready to go to work. Activities now are started at my senior club. We have to keep distancing and follow the directives. I go to play Darts with mask to follow the rules.  I am wearing my navy blue pants. This is a gift from my middle daughter, from Marks Spencer, one of my favorite stores. She got for me,  while I was visiting her place at Grimsby. My navy blue shirt is also from the same store. It is gifted from my another daughter, who used to live in Croydon, now moved to Kent.  I am facing  sort of  tug of war situation between my mind and my body. My mind taking me to London, to...

Choices are Yours My Dear

Image
Tuesday -- It is mixed sunny cloudy morning with 8 C below zero. Not so cold for we Canadians. Not much snow left. Just traces near the lake. I am done with my breakfast, sitting in my room with my friend, my computer. It takes me to connect with my family and friends and to the places I want to visit. No Masks and no social distancing needed. I feel lucky to enjoy my time in this time of Pandemic. I started thinking about myself, about fellow Humans, about the stages of Cycle of our life. Childhood and Teen period, we spend, shunting between schools and our home, busy doing home works and assignments, hunting for career opportunities. After that, we get busy with work, with our office trips and with raising our family. No time to slow down, to take an exit, to smell the Roses, from our routine cycle of life, until comes the day of our retirement.  Retirement is like a time to wake up, to look around, to think, "What To Do Now". How to fill the vacuum. We don't have eno...

My Kitchen My Laboratory

Image
Friday -- Beautiful sunny morning. It is 6 C, not below zero. Snow melted away. Grass on my front garden, not hiding anymore, under the white blanket. Skeleton trees look happy, shaking their heads. I can see my friend, the Black Squirrel enjoying his snacks, sitting on the red wooden bench of my garden. My garden furniture sitting nicely on my deck. The glass top of the table, shining under the sun. Blue sky looks great with thin silver clouds, like a masterpiece in water color. The "Twin Towers", I mean the two tall trees on my next door neighbor's garden, are all set to rent out apartments. I can hear the chit chat of birds from over there, may be negotiating in the rental office. Spring looks ready to give it's entry. Can't wait for Birds, Flowers and Butterflies. Waited so long for all that. Spring is the time of revival. Time of a new beginning. Time to take a fresh start. To look at things with a different perspective. Time to add colors to the story of o...

Count Your Blessings To Feel Rich

Image
Tuesday -- Beautiful sunny morning. Not so cold. Not much snow around. I see lots of green on my front garden. In my back garden, steel chairs are out from under the heap of snow. There is just a thin sheet of ice on the glass top of the table on my Deck. Things are getting back on track. Ready to go with the Spring flow. Today is my dentist's appointment. It is 9.15, I am getting ready to go. I think, will be the sad demise of one more of my tooth. I don't know how many left. More now opting to go to my denture than to live with my gum. I think, everyone loves to go for a change. Not their fault. This is life. We have to take, whatever is there. Sometimes, things not in our control. Don't have to waste your time, don't have to shoot your blood pressure. Leave everything to God and just relax. He will sort things out, best for you. This is the best solution. I go for that, most of the times. Nothing is end of the world. Enjoy with whatever is available. There is alway...

Everything Counts

Image
Friday -- Beautiful morning. Sun is is shining in full bloom. Snow losing it's ground. Green of my front garden is emerging, in abundance. It is cold with 6 C below zero, feels like 14 C below, windy with gusts 55 km.  Snow still here but  things are much better than week before.  It is just a matter of few more days.  We Canadians will be enjoying our spring season. Spring, the time for birds and flowers to be back, to bloom, to flourish,  to smile and  to spread happiness. We will be enjoying more day time, more brighter days.  I am excited about the "Twin Towers", the two tall trees on my next door neighbor's  front garden. I think it's office will open soon, to start renting out apartments. Birds are already back from South of the Border. They will be coming anytime, to contact the office to negotiate, to get the apartments occupancy. I am excited. It will be a festive atmosphere, after. It is 11.30, I am at Frenchman's Bay. I got ...

This is Our Time

Image
Tuesday -- Beautiful sunny morning. Cold with 17 C below zero. Yesterday it looked that most of the snow will quickly, be melting out. The green of my garden was peeping out from, under the white blanket. But now it is totally a different scenario. White stuff is all around. Everything is dusted with white powder. I see a black strip around, by the roundabout. I think, garbage truck was here earlier, left it's marks. Tuesdays are our garbage collection days. Blue and green bins are beautifully arranged by the side of driveways in my neighborhood.  Today, paper and green kitchen stuff is to be picked up. Grey bins are sitting patiently in our garage,  scheduled  for next week,  to be picked up  on alternate Tuesdays.  It is 10.30, sun shining in full bloom. Thin sheet of ice, on my front garden, looks shaky, losing fight. Green patches are popping up on my garden, from the white under. It is an amazing scenic view around. White crystals of ice sparkli...

Letter To My Dear Readers

Image
I got your comments yesterday. Comments are like letters to me from my Readers Family. Your comments are like driving force, give me power to write my Blog. Thanks everyone of you. Dear Friends in Ireland. No gatherings please. We have to follow the Directive. Use Masks and keep social distancing. This is for our own safety and for others too. I advised to cancel the parade and celebrations due to Covid situation. We don't have to take any chances. Thanks. Dear Reader doing 2 Jobs, please always listen to your supervisors and also to the Happy Worker. She will not give you any wrong advice. Dear Retirees I can understand, some of you my Friends living with families, must be facing some challenges. My dear if we limit our expectations, things will be different. We have to pitch in, have to make contributions in the household, we live. Making contributions doesn't mean, we have to go for something beyond our capacity. We are not in good shape at our age. Our body not so strong ...
