Don't get panicky, things will be fine
It is beautiful morning with 6 C not sunny but still bright. First Thursday
of every month is the monthly meeting our club at 1 pm. I will go for that
to my library after 12.30 one of my friend will pick me up.
It is 10 am everyone gone I am sitting on empty nest, now with my computer watching my favorite shows, playing scrabble and going through
messages from my friend and my Daughters.
My youngest Daughter just called me, she got brand new car. It is just a
coincidence that her birthday is 3rd of Nov. She was happy wanted to share
this with me. She lives in Reading England.
She was telling about some big stores got bankrupt, like House of Fraser,
BHS and so many others. My Daughter also has big, sort of family business,
she was worried for that.
Today my Eldest coming for couple of days from Uni. My Youngest, I mean
Slurpee Boy has to move out from his room and also take his PS4, monitor
and things like that to the box room downstairs.
For couple of days his parents will be on guard. Things not easy when
siblings have to share, their space, play time and such things. But what
I feel that it is now much easy atmosphere than that used to be sometimes
back. Parents also get trained to handle the situation.
The first thing to handle any situation, is to be calm down and don't lose
your peace of mind, your patience, which blocks your mind to think clearly.
You become panicky and take drastic actions, which further deteriorate
the gravity of the existing scenario.
Dear Reader doing 2 Jobs I am really upset with you. I told you not to listen
to Wicked Worker. She tricks you to make your life difficult. Please listen to
your Supervisor not the Wicked Worker.

ReplyDeleteI have posted the blog in Smile Corner. This being Friday, customers are lining up outside my shop to read blog as inside is completely full. They come here before going home or to the pub. It is like a community center here. The councillor is here as well. He came in the afternoon as it is very busy here then and he wanted to meet most of the people. The priest was here in the morning as it is less busy then. He was making lots of notes from the past blogs
ReplyDeleteI have posted the blog in all notice boards in lobbies A, B, C and D
ReplyDeleteJimmy
There were mixed emotions in the SWS today. People were really happy to see today's blog because it however when everyone realized that it is Friday, they were feeling a little gloomy.
DeleteTiara
Similar sentiments in SWN also. Today's blog was discussed but when people realized that it is Friday, they did not feel that much cheerful

This blog is my lifeline. I read it every day

ReplyDeleteDear Advisor,
ReplyDeleteThe retirees did not go for our long walk today. We are still very tired from the walk from earlier this week. Some of the retirees are still suffering from cramps also. This walk, though very long for us, is nothing compared to the walks that you have. The retirees instead went straight to the reading of your blog.
The retired child psychologist led the reading of the blog today. This is the highest honour that any retiree can have. The child psychologist said that this blog, along with the one that you wrote earlier this week, should be critical reading as a no. of parents run into this situation. She will forward these blogs to her colleagues who are actively working in this field
A no. of retirees are having challenging time with their in law kids. The committee for joint family living is asking for your help. If you can please provide us some advice
Thank you
recent retiree

Dear Author,
ReplyDeleteWe read your blog at the SRC today. The Dean congratulated your daughter on her new car. Many professors were very pleased also as it is once in a lifetime event. Smile Army was about to start yelling slogans when the Dean gave them an eye and calmed then down.
We all liked your blog because the problem that you talked about is what many of us face when we go back home from uni. In our case the problem gets more complicated because our parents also think that this is an opportunity for them to give us long lectures. In one case, a student got a lecture for about 10 mins from her dad. also, the parents want us to come back by 2am. They don't understand that when we are at uni, we live alone and come back at any time that we want. The lucky guy probably does not have to go through theat.
thank you
