Thought Of The Day

   September 29th 2023 Beautiful sunny morning, weather is great. Couple of more days before Canadian winter makes it's entry. It is time to get out, to enjoy. We have to push ourselves to do things to make our day. Life is the same for everyone. It is sort of a mixed plate, like a Combo. Mixed with sweet and bitter moments. It is not a bed of roses. Life is like a trail, an unpaved path.  We have to find our way, walking through the bushes around.  We have to pick flowers of happiness from where ever, we can.  Try to make other people's day, put smile on the faces around. You will get happiness in return. What goes around, comes back. Keep that in mind.  No one will come  to make our day. It happens in stories. Not in real world. We are the music makers.   September 26th 2023 It's a bit colder today, 11 C, will be warmer later on. It is 8.15, my youngest grandson, the Slurpee Boy is getting ready for his Uni. I have to make peanut butter sandwiches and hot chocolate milk for him. He will be leaving soon. I will have my breakfast after. I am off on Tuesdays. Don't have to go to work, to play Darts. I have other plans to make my day. We have to find things to get busy, to fill slots of our day schedule. Leave no space, to let enter negative thoughts. There is some leakage problem in one of the bathrooms, in our house. Worker is scheduled to come today. No one will be home. All gone to work and school. My son also has to go to attend some in person meetings. I will be home, will mange the working. My son will be relaxed.  We have to pitch in.   September 23rd 2023 Beautiful sunny, cold morning. It is 8.30, I am busy in my kitchen, making oatmeal porridge and stir fried egg for my breakfast. Great scenic view of my back garden. I can see from patio doors of my eat in kitchen. Couple of Pink Canadian roses are smiling. Flower bed is loaded with white, pink and yellow seasonal flowers. Brick red and white planters are full of white and purple flowers. Couple of flower pots are lined up, by the side of my deck. Grass is lush green. This is end of September. Few weeks to go and there will be a complete change in scenery. Canadian winter is just around the corner, about to give it's entry any time soon. September 19th 2023 It is 8.15 in the morning. Bright sunny day, looks breezy. Trees around are shaking their heads. I am in my kitchen making scrambled eggs for my eldest grandson. He is about to leave soon for his work.  I will make peanut butter sandwich and hot chocolate milk for my youngest grandson too, for my Slurpee Boy. He is getting ready for his Uni. Time flies, I still remember, he was just a kid, in school, loved to get Slurpee, cookies and all such things. Not anymore. Now he is watching his diet, avoids cookies and fries. Still loves Slurpee, takes once a while.  We have to value our kids. Have to spend time with them. They grow fast, wont be needing us after, anymore. They will be busy with their own things, own activities. No time for parents and we grandparents will not even be in their dictionary. Try to spread happiness, do things to make their day.   September 16th 2023 Beautiful sunny cool morning. It is 8.30, I am done with my breakfast. Enjoying morning tea, sitting on one of red knitted garden chairs, on my deck. It is such a beautiful scenic view to behold. Grass is lush green. Single pink Canadian rose is giving me smile. Flower bed at the back and on side, is loaded with seasonal dark pink flowers. Two brick red planters full of purple and white flowers, are lined up, at the side of deck.  Two white planters on top, by the side of garden fence, are full of  purple flowers. Air is all scented, loaded with aroma of the flowers and plants around. I am enjoying every bit of it. September is about to be done. Winter is just around the corner. It is 11 C, after couple of days, we have to dig out our coat closet. Have to sort out, what to wear, to tackle our Canadian cold. Couple of more months to go, this year will also be gone, will be history.  This is life. Time flies. Moments keep on slipping from our hand...

    September 12th 2023 It was raining since morning, it just stopped.  Beautiful day now, bright and sunny. Everything looking great after having morning shower. Plants around, look happy. Grass lush green. Flowers are smiling, enjoying the weather.  I am planning to go for my walk. Have to go to my doctor for my six monthly Vitamin D injection. Doctor office is 15 minutes of my walk. I take time. I have my appointment at 1.45. My grandson the middle one, Master Golden is ready to drive me there. Rain is now stopped, I will be fine, I will walk. Weather is great. I don't want to miss to enjoy. I will make my day. I was in kitchen, making banana strawberry shake for my son and for myself. Now in my room with my computer. Blinds of my windows, are drawn up.   September 9th 2023 It is just couple of days, back from my trip to England and it looks that I never been away. My suitcase is all empty, in the basement. Things in cupboard. Everything back on track. I started going back to my work, to play Darts. All set, back to normal routine. For couple of days, it was hot, here in Toronto, 39 C. Today slightly cool, will be 23 C in the afternoon. It is morning, 7.15, 15 C, overcast, hazy sky. It is weekend, everyone sleeping. I am awake, in my room, busy with my computer.  Yesterday was a busy day for me. In the morning, I went to library, to play Darts. I was back after 12.15, made banana smoothie for my son and for my youngest grandson, the Slurpee Boy. He likes that. I made for my own self too. Never forget to make yourself happy. It will help your mood swings. Boost your will power. You will feel great. I was was busy in kitchen, for sometimes.   September 4th 2023 Dear Readers, I got your comments after months. It is 7.30 morning hot day, Weather Channel showing, feel like 40 C, in the afternoon. I think this is the last week of summer here in Toronto. I am sitting in my back garden, came last night from London. Now back to normal routine.  Trip to England is done. It was great, to be with your kids and grand kids, is always great. Days were hectic, still, I enjoyed every bit of it. Flight was good, it was tiring, around seven hours. My dear no pain no gain. Nothing is one sided. Today is my first day in Toronto. Home is home. I feel relaxed. Travel time is like, you are in transit. You don't take everything out. Most of the things, you have to search in your suitcase.   September 1st 2023 It is early morning 6.30, I am awake, in my room, thinking about, it is time to go. My trip to England, to the land of my daughters, is nearly done. Just one more day. Sunday is my flight to Canada.  I am at my youngest daughter's place in Reading. It looks quiet in the house. I think everyone is sleeping or may be awake, still in bed. I am enjoying view from my window. Sky is overcast, road in front is all wet. I think, must be raining early in the morning. Lone pigeon is sitting on top of garage roof, is here to give me company.  Pink and peach color roses on the side of hedges, are smiling. I think, enjoying the morning view.   August 29th 2023 My days are done in Grimsby. I am leaving tomorrow morning. My daughter, the youngest one, from Reading will be driving. It is five hours drive. We can not figure out the exact travel time, all depends on Motorway. Sometimes takes couple of extra hours, depending on traffic. Let's see.  My other daughter from Kent is also here,  in Grimsby,  with her son. Her son just done with his GCSE exams, got all As. I am happy for him. He will also be with me, with her mom, for my journey to London. My trip will be great. I will be leaving Grimsby, the place of my middle daughter. Today is the last day with my daughter. It is morning, 9.15. I am enjoying breakfast, sitting in the eat in kitchen. Three of my daughters, are also sitting around. What a moment to be cherished.   August 25th 2023 Mixed sunny   cloudy  morning. It is 8.15 my daughter has to go for some appointment at 945. I will go with her. She will drop me at Grimsby station, at my favorite spot. I will enjoy my quiet time, sitting on steel benches at the station. Freshney mall is just at ten minutes walking distance. I will go there too, to walk around, to enjoy. It is 9.45, I am at station. Small train with three coaches, is about to leave from platform No 2. Not many people here. I will go to overhead bridge after sometime. That is also one of my favorite hobby. We have to do all these sort of things to have a feel of small towns. We miss all that, living in big cities. Last night, my daughter invited couple of families, to have dinner together. Grimsby is a small town, not much commuting. People have enough time to socialize. Small towns usually have close knit society.    22nd August 2023 Bright sunny beautiful morning, 20 C right now. It is 9.30, I am enjoying my breakfast, sitting in the small eat in kitchen at my daughter's place. It is at the right side of her kitchen. Small round table, three steel silver chairs with round wooden base, around. I am enjoying view of the garden, through large glass panels. Garden is small,  not as big as we have in Canada,  still very beautiful. Two Blackish red roses are smiling in a large flower pot. Beautiful small plants, in flower bed, at the side, are loaded with deep orange color flowers, so eye catching.  In England, land is not much, like in America and Canada, so things, I mean houses are sort of compact. Very different landscape. Every land is unique, has it's own identity, it's own beauty. Palm trees, at the right of the garden, looking great. Bonsai trees are, beside the back wall of the garden.    August 18th 2023 It is a mixed sunny cloudy morning. I am in Grimsby, came two days ago from my grand daughter's place, Stratford. My daughter was there, with her husband, to accompany me to her home, Grimsby. They were back a night before from Switzerland, enjoying their one week holidays. I started my journey from Kent on 15th morning. It was a working day, lots of traffic on the way so took one and half hour to Stratford. My grandson was driving, the other, younger one was sitting next to him. I was on the back seat, enjoying scenic view around, on the way.  At 1.30, we were at my grand daughter's place, Stratford. She was working from home, stuck with meetings, still took some time off, in between, to take me around. Nice of her. We feel lucky to be with our kids and with grandkids, is like cherry on top. My daughter and my grand daughter took me to "Westfield' mall, across. It is very famous, built at the time of London Olympic. It was ten minutes walk for me. ...

  It is mixed cloudy sunny morning, rain just stopped. I am done with my breakfast, enjoying tea outside, in my daughter's back garden. I like the grey two seated swing. It is still wet, not much water on the seat. Thanks to the canopy on top. I will wipe out water and will enjoy, sitting there.  Perfect morning, not too hot. Today is the last day for me in Kent. I will be leaving tomorrow morning, to the next station Grimsby, to my another daughter's place. She will be coming back tonight, from Switzerland, after enjoying one week holidays with her husband. Schools are closed here till 4th of September. Yesterday, I went to roam around the Kent Hi Street, one more time. My daughter is not well, having back ache.   Beautiful sunny mornings for the last couple of days. It doesn't look like London. No rain, no cloudy mornings. It is 21 C, will be 25 later on. It is 10 am, I am done with my breakfast, walking around, in the back garden at my daughter's place, in Rochester.  Nice breeze loaded with fragrance of beautiful, variety of flowers in the pots around. Red roses are giving me smile, to make my day. I am sitting on steel grey garden swing with canopy on top. Life is all good. No worries. I met with my childhood friend on Tuesday, 8th of August. It was a long journey from Rochester to Finchley Road. Journey started from Dulwich. My son in law dropped me there, on the way to his work. I took bus # 3 to Victoria station, from there bus # 13 to Finchley, to my friend's place. One hour each location, total three hours travel time on buses and car.  It was tiring and took long, still worth it. To see your loved ones, nothing looks tiring. You get happiness at the end of your journey....

  August 8th 2023 Beautiful mixed sunny cloudy morning. Sun is not fully awake, still dozing off inside his light grey blanket. Yesterday my youngest daughter came from Reading to Rochester, to join me and her sister. It was two hours drive. She was tired, after taking a break, we went to "Creams Cafe " to enjoy time together.  It is 8.15 morning, looks very quiet, I think, my daughters are still sleeping. They were up till late night. Kids left for work.  My daughter will leave today, anytime after lunch, will go back to Reading. I am planning to go to see my childhood Grade five friend. She moved to Netherland to her elder daughter. She has two daughters. Her younger one lives here at Regent Street, in downtown London.  My friend is here, with her daughter for couple of weeks.     August 5th 2023 Beautiful sunny morning. It was raining for couple of days, Me and my daughter were busy with, going to indoor places, visiting relatives and shopping Malls.  London has mostly shopping Plazas, with scattered big stores and eateries. For the last, I think two decades, we now see lots of indoor big shopping malls too.  Yesterday went to, "Blue Water Mall", thirty minutes drive from my daughter's place, Rochester.  It is big and scenic. You can shop inside and also enjoy the scenery, sitting on the benches, all around. Lake view outside is beautiful.  My daughter was busy shopping with her husband. I was walking around. We don't need anything at our age. I enjoy, walking in Flowers and bakery isles.  Today, It is bright and sunny, I am walking on Hi Street.  Parking is not easy here.   September 1st 2023 Cloudy morning, raining, of and on, for the last couple of days. It is 8.30, 15 C, I am going downstairs for breakfast. I am at Rochester, Kent, with my another daughter, came here from my youngest daughter's place, Reading, on 30th of August. Rochester is a beautiful place with a very different scenario, comparing to Reading. Reading looks to me like a city of flowers, with green all around, scenic. Rochester is a city of Castle and Cathedral, a tourist place.  I love to walk around on it's High Street. At one end of the street, is  Cathedral,  second oldest   after Canterbury. Next to Cathedral, is Castle, a beautiful piece of Art and architecture.  At the other end of Hi street, are many places to tour around, to enjoy. Art gallery, Museum in 17th century old building, "Six poor Travellers House". So much to see and enjoy in a beautiful historic and peaceful atmosphere.   Some days, we sleep well, nothing looks wrong, still we don't feel good. Don't like to start our day, feeling low and lethargic. I think, it is ok.  We Humans are not Robots.  Give yourself a break. Sometimes, our body looks fine, mind doesn't want to come forward to give orders. Our system is very complex, not so simple. It is creation of God Almighty. Not easy to understand. We can't figure out, what went wrong. Give yourself a break. Your mind will figure that out. Things will be back to normal after a while.   Beautiful morning. It is 20 C, in London, same as at my home, in Pickering, Canada. I am sitting in my daughter's garden, enjoying the beauty around. Lush green grass, tall trees, more than twenty feet high, smiling colorful flowers in pots.  Jasmine plant with delicate white flowers, looking great on red brick wall.
