Recipe for a Happy Life

It is beautiful sunny bright Saturday morning 11 C, just couple of days
back it was 42 C. Things change so quickly. Time flies, value the moments
in hand. Enjoy whatever is there. You never know what will be the next.

 Time is running out, we are getting older day by day. It is 8.45, I am done
with my breakfast,watching TV show, "Little House in the Prairie". 
My Son is awake everyone sleeping. It is weekend, kids have to enjoy.

 It is 10.30, I have to take shower to wake up my body. We have to
push ourselves to move on. I have to do my laundry too, I will do that 
tomorrow. We have to push ourselves but not too hard, otherwise our 
body will not co operate, wont listen to us.

 To keep myself busy, I always chalk my day plan beforehand. I love to 
live in day tight compartment. I believe this is the recipe to lead our life 
happily. Our life is the same with all sorts of ups and downs. 

 Keeping ourselves busy is the best option to distract ourselves from all sort
of worries and day to day turmoils. Try that. It is working well for me.

    I have posted the blog in Smile Corner. Customers went for the Sunday services at the church. The priest was very pleased at the attendance since there are people visiting us from outside our small town. All people then came to my shop to read the blog

    Dear Madam Smile, you so good, you write good to. I go sick job worker and I say how you. He say I am good. I say you no sick any more? He say why you keep ask me if I sick I only sick one day when I had head hurt. I say yes but I bring aspirin because I am allowed to give it to you now. He say but I dont need it and remember you Madam say it no good to call people sick. I say yes you right but how you know because I no show you blog. He say he need go.     Dear Advisor,

    The retirees went for our long walk today but we had to abandon it after 5 minutes. Usually we dont go for back to back walk but we wanted to go for the walk as you often go for your 10 min walk on back to back days and we wanted to experience that too. The retirees were not able to complete it though. Some called their kids to come and give them a ride back.

    The retirees had a meeting about the temple situation and the legal subcommittee has finalized the strategy. They plan to submit this to the authorities. Their plan is to highlight to the authorities that the parents need another chance as this is the first offense. They also plan to talk to the temple kids to coach them as to what to say as the authorities will be talking to them also. The legal committee typically does not take this approach but they changed this stance after readings of your blogs to us on this topic.

    Dear Author,

    We read your blog at the Smile Garden today. The students and professors as well as many other people attended the reading. This included the great friends, the students from the local school, the principal as well as teachers from the local school, the book store manager, the wives of many professors, including Mrs. Lucy, the police officials came. The police officers never come in uniform, plus a few other people that we could not recognize. During the reading of the blog, the Dean stood in a sign of respect. After the reading of the blog, Mrs. Lucy gave everyone little pieces of spicy bread that she prepared based on your recipe

    We are having a terrible time with our parents. The request for weekly phone calls is ridiculous. We are very busy here as we have to cook for ourselves, we have to study, do our own grocery shopping and many of us dont have a car. Unfortunately our parents do not understand any of this. There is nothing to talk really other then what you ate, who did you meet etc. We know you said that the lucky guy is also going through this but we know that this is not possible as you are probably helping him and are saying this to make us feel better

  January 12th 2024 It is around mid of January. Time for us to, start getting snow storms. This will be off an on, for the next couple of weeks. It is 10.15, mixed sunny cloudy morning, windy too. Gusts are 38 to 48 km.  Friday used to be my work day, not today. Kids day camp is going on in the library, at my work place. I am off for the whole week. I have to find my own things to do, to get busy. From Monday, things will be back on track. I will be having my regular work hours. It is 11.45, I am getting ready to walk to Tim Hortons. I take it as my second home. I know that it is cold and windy. I am all set with gloves, stole and three layers underneath my winter coat. I will be fine.   July 7th 2023 It is hot sunny morning, 9.15 and already 24 C, feel like 26. I woke up early, done with my breakfast. Talked to one of my daughters, my middle one, called me from Grimsby.  She was going home, done with her work. It was a brief talk. She was busy, picking up her son, on the way from school. My other daughters are still at work. They will call me later on. We talk everyday, not much, just to connect.  I am busy with my computer. No message from my childhood friend. She never skips, must be busy. She was at her son's place in Sydney, was planning to go back to Perth, to be with her daughter. She must be stuck, other matters to be resolved. Anyway we have to find our own, "Things to do", to get busy, to make our day. Don't have to wait for people's calls and messages. I am busy playing Scrabble and Card games on my computer.   June 13th 2023 Beautiful morning. Great weather. It was raining all day, yesterday. Stopped at late night. I was working, Mondays are my work days. Have to go to play Darts. It starts at 9.30 in mornings. We were thirteen all together. Picked our numbers to make teams. Two boards with four teams. Three players in each. One team was odd, I mean with four. Anyway we enjoyed. Thirteen seniors on a rainy day, out to play, to enjoy time together. Amazing at that age. Gives inner peace. Boosts will power with affirmation that we still can do it. Rain or no rain, nothing can stop, to make our day. I think, will is everything behind your motto. When there is a will, there is always a way to go ahead, to move on, to do what you want. Today is Tuesday, weather is great 18 C, a bit on a cooler side. I am off, not working on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Last week I booked my flight to England. My daughters were pushing me for that.
