It is Sunday 19 Degrees Cloudy and Rainy Day
Today My Eldest Leaving for Western University
I was very Much Looking Forward
To Give Him Company

We all planning to Go --- In the Morning
My Son Let Me Know that The Middle One
Master Golden Not willing to Go

It was 2 Hours Drive My Youngest also Changed
His Mind so They Both Staying Home
I was Not Feeling Good to Leave Them alone

I Changed My Plans and Opted to Stay with Them
I Believe Family always Comes First
I was Going for My Own Sake to Feel Good

Two of My Grand Kids Now Staying Home
I will be More Than Happy to Give Them
Lunch and Give Them Company
I will Go after --- There is always a Next Time

London is a Beautiful Small City of Flowers
I used to Live There Quarter a Century Back
in 1992 with My Son He was Doing
His Masters at Western University Now in 2017 His Son
Going to the Same University

Two of My Youngest Daughters were also Living with Me
at that Time  --- They now Live in London England

Time Flies They are Married have Their Own
Grown up Kids -- Couple of Them Completed
Their University Degrees One is Married Last Year
I Mean My Grand Daughter

I wanted to Go There to Have a Feel of the City
After Such a Long Time So Much must have been
Changed

I Used to Work as Volunteer in " Global House " in
Downtown of London City -- It was Sort of Shelter
Under Immigration Department

In 92 It was a Period when Serbia  --- Croatia ---
Bosnia and Burma were undergoing Difficult Time
Global House was Full of Immigrants from
Those Places

I Had Opportunity Getting Closer to Them Listening
Their First Hand Stories Full of Emotions
Giving Them Company and Trying to Console
Shared Their Grief to Provide Some Relief

In 94 I was Moved to Ottawa as My Son Got Job at
Nortel --- Some of the Immigrants Used to Write
Me Letters To Keep Connected

I Still Have Some of the Letters as Souvenir
With Beautiful Title of  " Dear Auntie "

They Used to Share Their Personal Problems
With Me -- I Tried What I Could

  7. Dear Advisor,

The retirees did not go for our long walk today. We are still very tired from the walk from yesterday. Some of the retirees are still suffering from cramps also. This walk, though very long for us, is nothing compared to the walks that you have. The retirees instead went straight to the reading of your blog.

The retired human rights activist led the reading of your blog today. She was one of the campaign activist at multiple agencies such as the Red Cross, UNHCR, etc. She pointed out that in majority of the cases the refugees dont remember the leaders who help them settle down because there are so many of them but they remember only the ones who touch them deeply. She pointed out that the fact that one of them reached out to you, means that you must have touched at least one of them deeply.

The retired chef has requested some additional recipe as the 5 star properties are now thinking of adding your menu, similar to the one that we have at this cafe. The cafe manager also made the same request

    thank you
    recent retiree

  8. Dear Author,

The students and the professors read your blog at the Smile Garden today. The Smile Army as well the students from the local school were in attendance. The Dean invited the business faculty today and they were amazed at the humane thoughts that you share. The business professor mentioned that he plans to use some of the material as part of Corporate Social Responsibility class.

We would like to thank you for giving us a shout out. As we read about your grandson's residence visit, it brings back memories for us. We remember the first few days were really tough. We were on the phone with our parents and grand parents multiple times during the day as we were trying to get our bearings. Their help and support was critical in getting us settled in. We are sure that you providing the same support to him

    thank you
