Every 3rd Thursday of the month
is Pot Luck at our Club I am not a
good eater but I don't skip
anything to get out
I opened Red Kidney Beans Can
to make Salad with light dressing
to take it to the Pot Luck Table
It started raining as people say
April shower May flower
it looks very true
Whole atmosphere looks all changed
with Morning shower
The Lonely Tree looks Happy now
with green tinge all over and
Started Budding
Birds calling each other so loud
I can hear them while sitting in
My room with windows closed
I think Birds started getting familiar
of Me they don't get scared I was surprised
one time I was walking and they were
just there beside Me
Talking to each other looking on the grass
may be searching for something they lost
over there whatever was that I was Happy
to see them so close
I have some Tips for Bird Watching
for My Dear Friend Kris Father
You have to sit very quiet take some book
with you to read as you have to wait long
If You call Kris or Niklas or take them
with You Birds get scared
I mentioned in My earlier Blogs couple
of months back about the beautiful
piece of writing
" Intelligence of Birds " I think by
Ernest Hemingway That I read in
My High School Days
I still had that in the back of My Mind
it is about Birds intelligence and how
they can sense everything
So Father Dear be very quiet in a good Mood
and with a smile on your Face
Put some water in a plate and pieces of bread
at the other end of your Backyard so Birds
can visit freely
You have to be very patient very quiet
don't take Niklas and Kris with You
and don't call them otherwise Birds will
skip and don't come to your place
You will see them after a while
when Birds start trusting you
I have posted the blog in Smile Corner. This is market day but customers are coming to my shop in waves. They come here to read the blog first before going to the market. We have lots of people from out of town who come to read blog and then do shopping. They are talking about Smile's blogs about bird watching and nature. One of the customers said that Smile is making us look at nature very differently. Priest is here too. He is making some notes.

Dear Madam Smile, you write so good. You give so good idea to. I go job and I say job worker with video kid you know why you no able see bird. I say you kid make to much noise. You need be quite. ReplyDeleteThe retirees went for our walk today.Our walk though very long, is nothing compared to the ones you take. The retirees then had our lollipop
The retired ornithologist who has joined our group because of your blogs and nature and bird watching was requested to lead the blog. He was very appreciative of this honour. He was even more excited when he read your blog. He indicated that you are making the techniques of ornithology well known via your blogs based on your global reach. He afterwards had a debrief with us and he was surprised when we shared with her that you are actually a scientist but not an ornithologist.
The retired professional child psychologist has requested that you share additional details about parenting as they are updating the collateral for Smile with Smile program. They delivered a presentation yesterday to one of the schools in a suburb and it was very well received

ReplyDeleteYou wont believe what happened today. We broke our tradition to read your blog at the SRC. We went to the SRC and there was no one there. We were surprised because we saw a lot of cars and people, it felt like a normal working day but there was still no one there. As it turned out, they were in the lecture hall. They were there to attend the special class that was scheduled to talk about your blog. We were expecting some students from the English literature faculty, but we were not expecting such a massive turnout. Apparently your blog can draw a lot of people. Interestingly, there were some people there who were not part of the university. I overheard Dean making a comment to one of the literature professors that he asked for the lecture on the weekend so we dont limit discussion about Smile's blog to university students only. He mentioned that he was confident that some outsiders will come to and this will help develop the appeal of literature in the masses. He joked that this is like the practice of giving out a free sample.
So the reason we did not read the blog at the SRC was because we read it in the lecture hall with a lot of other people. I hope that this is ok
Please forgive me for this disjointed comment, our professors are busy so it is only us students who have worked on this and edited it
Also, my apologies for the comment from "recent retiree" yesterday. One of our professors retired yesterday and wrote the comment. He was write though, as some students do refer to you as an "advisor" also

Fantastic. Another new topic today!! How does Smile does it. And each topic is so different, today was about bird watching, yesterday about natural scenery in the front yard, at times it is about social issues, parenting etc

My mother in law loved your blog and is trying to use your technique to be-friend a bird in the back garden. She is nasty so I dont think any bird will even come near her, if the birds have any intelligence. Lets see if Hemingway is right

Father say that you give good idea that Kris (me) and Niklas be shut when they go look rabit and bird. Father say he yell them because they no walk quite. Father say that no red bird come in back garden so he say Kris (me) to take father to park and river because father know that there more bird there. Father no able find red bird there. Father no see rabit to. Father then yell Niklas because he no walk quite. Father yell Kris (me) to because he alway take father wrong place. Father want go lake where water like see but Kris take father river where water is like baby river. Father no happy. Father say he say father old almost 67

wake him up at 7 because he grandpapa want sit outside alone. And then wen grandpapa no see rabit and red bird in back garden he say that he need go park because there more bird.
