My Dear Retiree Friends
for your Nutrition Committee
I write about my eating Habits
If it will be of any use
I hardly eat out simply I don't
enjoy that
Mostly try to use fresh ingredients
for cooking not processed ones
As far as about going to frozen lake
if you enjoy something
Your heart and soul is into it
nothing matters and bothers
We Baby Boomers were like
Stars in our Days now after
retirement refuse to accept
that our Days are done
We won't leave the space our Spot
for the Next Generation to fill in
We had to leave the Spot at our
Workplace in Offices that was
unavoidable
We had to accept and face it but
not anymore
I won't leave my another position
I was Master of my House my Family
no one can take it away from me
My Son now has His own Family
His own Kids but He has to keep in
mind I rule the House
I am retired but not from my other
responsibilities
I live with Him but won't be an underdog
I have to be strong fight for my Rights
for my Father Figure
Otherwise they will push me to the wall
I won't have to live as a Second Citizen
at my Place
I am still the Boss that's it
Everyone has to listen to me
end of story enough is enough
I salute all Children of We Baby Boomers
whole Generation of your's handling
the pressure for keeping your Parents
with you
Giving us Family atmosphere and
keeping us away from loneliness
Thank You All Children living in Joint
Family and undergoing all the on going
problems you have to tackle
I can understand My Dear
You are doing your duty
now it is our turn to share
some of your pressure
We have to be co - operative and be
reasonable in our demanding attitude
in our expectations
We Baby Boomers have to be flexible
to keep the Joint Family System alive
I think as far as I understand you, you are not a burden on your son, it rather seems , you try to help him as much as you can, giving him company as well as space.

Dear Sheema, It good that you no say you proud that you write first. But why you no write every day. Remember Madam write blog for you. She big shot. You right that Madam very good. Madam take lot care her son. She get him money. He no very good because he take her frozen lake. And make her walk to get money. She give food son sons. She give grocery daughter law. I do 2 proud job and always read blog

ReplyDeleteThe subcommittee on nutrition wanted me to begin this blog by thanking you. The retired nutritionist and the retired dieticians could not believe that your advice is so simple yet so effective. They have started the process of dissecting your blog for additional nuggets of information.
The subcommittee on joint family living also wanted to thank you for your today's blog. The retirees could relate to it. We had an intense discussion based on that. We had the discussion at the cafe after we have had a joint reading. A no. of retirees participated in the discussion. There were two point of views. One was of the view that our children are doing us a favor whereas the other perspective was that it is the other way around as the retirees bring forward a lot of good ideas for the betterment of the family lives. There were multiple examples which were provided eg the retirees helping with the marital problems of their kids, the retirees helping out by correctly advising the kids etc. At the end we decided that this is an important social issue and needs to explored further. The subcommittee will continue its deliberations
All in all, the retirees were full of appreciation for today's blog as it addresses major issues for us

ReplyDeleteYour today's blog created a lot of buzz in the campus. My friends in the social sciences faculty told me that the professors used today's blog as reference. They were focusing on the changing dynamics of the family in 21 century. I am letting you know as some ofmy friends have asked for some tips because they are also doing their social science assignment on your blog.
For us, we are hoping to wrap up our research very soon. We are very concerned about our marks as your blogs are very common here. Students are so impressed with you because you are such a big author but very down to earth.
