Mothers are Always Mothers

It was 1991, I went to see a physician

While taking my history

He asked about the number of children I have

My answer was five

Then he asked about any miscarriages, abortions

To both the questions my answer was one

He quickly did the calculations

And his answer to me was seven pregnancies

I could not believe that

I the highly educated lady of early sixties

Was responsible of making seven pregnancies

I was really ashamed of myself

Back home lot of kids are

Old fashioned and

Not a classy thing







My mother was much better than me

She was two decades before my time

Behaved in much civilized style

She had only five children

Although she was not educated at all

Never went to any school

No novels no short stories

No TV Dramas nothing

I had access of all these

But she was much better than me

In so many ways

Mothers are always mothers

We always can learn

From our mothers

    Beautiful morning sunny and bright. No more rain. We had already more than enough of it. Grass and flowers, don't need any watering.      October 29th 2024 It's a different scenario today. Cloudy morning hazy sky. Sun is hiding under his gray blanket. It is Tuesday so I don't have to go to work. No Darts today at the library. It is a day off for me. I have to make other plans to make my day. Day offs are like clean slates. We have to write our schedule to fill out the columns of the day. When we have to go to work or school, our timings are all set.  We don't have to worry about how to pass our time. We have just a couple of hours left to sort out after coming back from our workplace or school. Weekends and day offs are tricky. We need some homework to fill out our day slots. Try to make it like a combo, a mixed plate to have a taste of everything. Day offs are like blank sheets. We can write, paint, whatever we want to do, to fill out.       October 22nd 2024 Great morning 18C. It is like summer for Canadians. Couple of more days to enjoy the outdoors.  Beautiful leaves of all colors are everywhere giving a scenic look to the atmosphere to behold and to cherish these moments. Nature is amazing. There is always something for we Humans to make our day. Take some time off from your day today to look around. You will find beauty everywhere. It doesn't matter in which part of the world you live. Don't have to plan for long trips. It is all at your doorsteps. Keep your eyes open and take a break to smell the nature around. You will get the flavor and also inner peace deep down. It will be a rare happiness all on its own. You don't have to make any payments, any investments for that. Just a time alone slot and all the transactions will be done. It works like meditation.
