Thought Of The Day

It is Monday very cold morning with 25 C below zero with gust 53 km. Snow everywhere, still more to come any time soon. This is Canada  my Dear. What else you can expect. On Saturday, we had "Great Friends Day" at our library. City does it every  year. They invite Teens and community people to come and play with us.  Not many were there from our club. One of my friend called to pick me up. We have to sign up for that event,  I was already on the list. In the library, I arranged Dart board to play with  some teens and youth from school and other institutions. They were playing for the first time, they learned how to play, we enjoyed. There were many games, like card games, table tennis, putting, trivia,  painting.There was also coffee/tea sandwiches and deserts, so much to enjoy. It is Tuesday snowing very cold it was 23 C below zero in the morning. Yesterday 38 C below zero. Today no chance for my walk to Tim Horton  but Yesterday I went to library for my my part time work. It was only  Darts  no Carpet Bowling. I can see lots of snow everywhere. Skeleton trees are loaded with white Blossoms. Everyone to work and school. I am sitting on an empty nest. I divided my time to get myself busy. I made some special carrot desert. It needs lots of work and lots of time too. I have to blend and cook with milk.  I made Baked Pasta for kids, with milk and  cheese. They love it. It is Friday, I am working full time today. My Son was not feeling well so I skipped on Wednesday. I don't work on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so I am  at my work place after so many days. We have to be with our family whenever they need some sort of support. I believe that family always comes first. It is 9.30, I am at the library,...

It is Saturday morning with 24 C below zero, at night expected to be 41 C below zero. Life goes on, here nothing stops. Yesterday night,  my Son was going to Gym, I went to Pickering Mall. It is just across. He picked me after an hour, after his Gym time. I saw Black squirrel in the morning, playing around the wooden fence  in my backyard. Master Golden is getting ready to get his admission in the Uni of his choice. Time flies. Things change so quickly. Slurpee Boy will also be gone.  It is matter of  only  couple of years. We have to value every moment,  we spend with our family, with our kids. After a while we will be sitting in an empty nest. They all will fly away, sooner or later.  On Thursday, our Club arranged Pot Luck for members. We have to buy tickets for that. It was 9 dollars per head. We had Sandwiches, Salad, Desert, coffee and tea. I don't care about the food but I enjoyed the atmosphere. It is always good...

It is Wednesday hazy cloudy morning 6 C below zero, feels  like 17 C  below zero. It just started snowing I see white dust  all around.  The glass  top  of my patio table in the backyard,  is covered with  white thin crust.  It looks like I have lots of silver on my front garden.  It is 9.15, I am in  the library, working in my office cubicle. I am  working full time today.  Playing Darts and Carpet Bowling too.  I will go back home after 3 pm. Today is very busy day for me. I am planning to make stir fried veggie dish to put at the dinner table. We have to contribute for  the family we live  with. It is Tuesday cloudy rainy day with 2 C, not below zero, enough to celebrate. In Canada it is like summer. I am not working today. I don't work on Tuesdays. Today I will make some calls and  go for my walk. Right now rain stopped and sun just came out so perfect time for  my  walk.  It is 10.45, I am on Whites Road, walkway and road is still  wet  as  rain just stopped. I see some snow on the sides. Everything looking beautiful after morning shower. I can see couple  of birds on clear sky. I didn't forget to take my maroon umbrella as rain can start any moment. I believe that only present moment counts  so I am good, enjoying my walk for now. I am all dressed up in layers. Last week I was in Pickering Town Centre I got a woolen cap for myself from Dollarama. It is reversible red and navy  blue. At my age red won't go so I am OK with navy blue side. It is Saturday beautiful sunny day with 2 C. It is 10 in the morning,  I am  done  with my breakfast, now sitting in the TV lounge. I don't watch  much TV but enjoy my time here in this room. From here I can get the  full view of my back garden. Pear tree on the left is like a skeleton, still it is the most eye catching spot in the whole back yard. Different kinds of birds come to have a seat on this tree.  Yesterday I saw the beautiful grey and black Woodpecker on this tree. I think everything has it's own beauty hidden inside. Same is with we  Humans.  We have to look through deep down before giving our verdict. It is 11.15, weather is perfect for my walk. I am getting ready to go to  Tim Horton. It is 11.30, I am walking on Whites Road. I can see snow  sparkling under sunlight. Roads and walkways are clear. Couple of birds calling from the tree tops. I think saying Hello to me,  so nice...

Beautiful morning 2 C, not so cold. Here in Canada it is like summer. Sun hiding somewhere, hazy day, still no rain, no snow that is enough  to celebrate. Yesterday I was not well, feeling feverish. Whenever I am not feeling good, I always try to recall my Mom's  novel advice. She used to say "Never let your sickness to overcome your body". Somehow, this has been left embedded deep down inside  my Mental Processing Unit. This staying there like a "Chip", always reminds me not to take my sickness seriously. I hardly remember, when I had to take a mid day "Nap", or lie  down  for a while, during day time. I am usually up in the morning and leave my bed to go back at 12 midnight or may be after. I rarely take Tylenol or any other medicine. It is Monday, December 31st. The last day of the Year.  Weather is mild 2 C below zero, not so cold. No snow, no rain still  cloudy and  hazy.  Tomorrow sun will rise in the Year 2019. I think as year starts, People take it very hard specially the first couple  of days  of the New year. They make tough resolutions and try to keep  that, like,  Quit smoking -- Watch my weight -- Spend more hours in Gym. We have to be realistic to chalk out such plans. Nothing is end of the  world.  Don't be hard on yourself. Take it easy. Don't change your diet, change  your  plate. Don't plan to exercise tough, for long hours. Be reasonable. Start with what is doable. This will go long way, will result in more  productivity.  Move around, is the best and easy to do. Happy New Year to All My Dear Readers It is Monday cloudy hazy morning with 3 C. It was raining last night.  Everything looking beautiful after shower. Skeleton trees all decorated  with  pearls. Pearls also scattered all around on the grass at my front garden. I am getting ready to go. I am working part time today. It is end of December one more year is going down the drain. Time passing so quickly. We have to value every moment. What is gone never comes back. So much done in the past week. So much to write down for my Dear Readers. On the third Thursday of every month, we have pot luck in our club. We purchased tickets for five dollars to get light snacks, sandwiches,  deserts, coffee and tea.  Gate prizes were also there for tickets, to be called. Monday bright  sunny   beautiful morning  with zero C, not below   zero.  Most of the snow gone by now, still I see so much around.  I am  working part time, no bowling today, playing only darts. Tomorrow my Son will be leaving for Montreal for his office work. He will be back by Wednesday night. I have to find my ride for going to my work.  I work full time on Wednesdays, on top, there is Mayor's Light Tour from  7 pm to 10 pm. I never miss that event. We have to avail every chance to get out. It helps to keep us away from negative thoughts.  I have to find ride for that too. I told you I have people, who will be ready to  give me ride but I don't ask everyone. Beautiful Saturday morning with 8 C below zero. It was snowing last night. Here in Toronto most of the times, snow melts right away. Sometimes in couple of hours, in some cases takes couple of days. Whenever it starts snowing, it changes the whole atmosphere into a land  of wonders. Every time, looks like a total new scenic view to behold.  It gives a blank  medium  to draw anything you like to print. Specially on weekends, no footprints, nothing there, looks like a virgin land  of peace and tranquility.  All skeleton trees, dressed up in beautiful  white  glossy costumes,  ready to celebrate Christmas and New Year festivities. Other plants are also in same mood, bearing white cottony flowers. Blue  trampoline, in my backyard, looks wonderful with milky white net around. It is Sunday morning with drizzle, temp is great. It is zero degree, will be 10 C  in the afternoon.  It is  like summer in Canada. It happens  here  in winter time, for a while temp  goes in  plus, called Indian Summer.  Because of drizzle, the skeleton trees are all decorated with white pearls.  Copper and Bronze is still there in my back garden. Grass on my front garden is all covered with white  stuff.  Most of the Bronze and Copper on my backyard is now turned into  Silver. Red Caravan on my driveway looking great wrapped under white sheet. Silver Jetta shining out of the silver coating. No squirrel, no  Butterfly, no  rabbit, I think they all will be back by March next year. Neighborhood is all quiet. When outside world is quiet, we have to open up  our inside window. My Son has to go early around 8 am this morning.  One of my Friend will drive me to my work place.  I am working full time  today, playing Darts and also Carpet Bowling. I started thinking about my other friends, who used to pick me up. One, who works in Real State, is nowadays in Florida.  She has same date  of birth as of mine. She always brings cake to  celebrate  together.  She goes to Florida every year in winter time.
