Tuesday hazy cloudy morning with 7 C below zero. Not any chances for sun
to come out. He is hiding somewhere up and above. My Son is away for two
days. He is in Montreal. It looks so quiet to me.
He used to be at work, I mean not home during day times but thinking
of that he is not in the city, is not the "Feel" I am enjoying any more.
Anyway he will be back by tomorrow night.
It is 11.30, I was about to start my shower but changed my mind, to go for
my walk and shower after. I am all dressed up in layers. My maroon
sweater underneath with my long black coat and beautiful floral stole of
my Youngest Daughter.
I got it from her as a souvenir. It reminds me of the memorable moments,
we spent together. It is 11.45, I am walking by Whites Road. It just started
snowing, light snow. It is called flurries.
I grabbed my maroon umbrella, it might help. I don't know, I am not sure
but it will give me moral support. That matters a lot, to make things happen.
I also mentioned sometimes back in my earlier Blog, that we are getting
older day by day.
Days passing quickly. Moments slipping from our hands. I go on repeating
these lines as this matters a lot to me. I believe that time is running out,
every moment counts. We have to drain every moment in hand.
It is 12. 15, I am at Tim Horton, writing my Blog, enjoying my time alone
slot and my half and half coffee with raisin bran muffin. I changed my
menu no more tasted raisin biscuit today.
We have to value ourselves. To serve variety of treats will be good idea,
to elevate our mood, specially in winter time. I believe when outside world
looks not so bright, we have to light up our inner domain.
It is 1.15, I am done, now time to walk home. It is still snowing so to boost
up my morale, I opened up my umbrella I am ready now to handle the
situation.
I have to make couple of calls, do my laundry. I am thinking to wash two of
my comforters. I will make fried potato for dinner tonight. My Son is away,
I will make for myself and for my daughter in law. Kids don't like veggies.
I think to divide our day into slots, will give us a chance to taste bit of
everything. Our day is changed into a combo with variety of dishes, to enjoy.
It becomes a bouquet of colorful flowers.
Our day no more looks deserted. We don't feel that we have to force
ourselves to spend the whole bunch of 24 hours, like a routine exercise.
When we divide our day into slots, we have to switch our mood according
to our plans. It changes the whole scenario, will paint our day into
Beautiful landscape.
Dear Readers I will not be posting my Blog for Tuesday. I am thinking about the time when my Dear friend in Ireland got into big trouble because of my Blog. He had to open his Cafe on 25th of Dec. I don't want to do that again.
Enjoy your holiday season. My next Blog will be on next Saturday. I hope you are getting my Recipes on my " Kitchen Corner " site. My next Recipe Blog will be on Thursday as usual. Thanks for understanding and cooperation.

ReplyDeleteI have posted the blog in Smile Corner. This being Saturday, lots of customers are in my shop today to read blog. They come here to read blog from today and also the past week. There is no room inside, and people are waiting outside. I am running low on supplies. It has become a tradition that they come here to Smile Corner and then go to the market for their shopping. The priest is also here today. He is making notes as he is getting ready for the Christmas day mass. Councillor has his supporters are saying that we should not wish Merry Christmas because you have wished Happy Holidays but the priest is insisting that we should each continue to wish Merry Christmas. Customers are saying Happy Holidays though as your blogs are very popular and you also were so thoughtful as to not publish a blog on Dec 25 just so I dont get in trouble. Thank you and Happy Holidays to you on behalf of all of us

It is our weekly annual routine for some time now that we light up the Christmas tree and gather with friends and family to spend the evening. Your blogs were the centerpiece of this custom. They provided us with immense opportunity to discuss significant social issues as well as novel notions. Now that the festive season is upon us, we conducted our annual tree lighting ceremony recently and used your blog "Faucets of Happiness" as the centerpiece. Of course, we are guilty of over indulgence, so we didnt stop at one blog, but read a few others of yours. It greatly enhanced the joyous festivities of the season. We know that time is at a premium for you, so we dont want to take too much of it but if you can spare us a few, we wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for providing us warmth and good humor during these wintry days. We plan to continue this custom. In the interim, we will like to wish and yours, a very safe and joyous season.

Dear Madam Smile, you so good. You write good to. Happy worker come and say me merry Christmas. I say I no want say Merry Christmas. She say what hapen. You celebrate lot all time. I say my Madam only say Happy Holiday. Happy worker say she right, she international author and have people from all over world follow her so she need be respectful to all but for you and me, we no have this problem. I say it no problem, it big honour. Happy worker say I joke, of course it big deal. I say I also no celebrate because her only son no take care her and she need walk snow. ReplyDeleteThe retirees did not go for our walk today as we were too tired from our walk yesterday. Some of the retirees have cramps. Our walk, though very long, is nothing compared to the walks that you have. The retirees instead went to the joint reading of your blog.
The retiree appreciate your blog today. The retirees were somewhat saddened that you will not write a fresh blog on Tuesday but we understand and will read one of your old blog to celebrate our Christmas. The retirees were also saddened to see that despite being an international author with a global following, you needed to walk in snow. As you have asked us not to talk about your son, we bit our tongue and didnt say anything about his callous indifference to your well being.
The retired priest was here and was wishing everyone merry Christmas. The retired corporate chief Executive reminded him that you have only wished everyone Happy Holidays so we should follow your lead. The retired priest said that you are a decent Christian lady and you likely celebrate Christmas with the traditional way ie fish on Christmas eve. The temple people and the hijab lady have been banned from the readings as you have expressed displeasure. The retired priest will also be staring legal proceedings against them for taking the money and putting a stop to their new building.A retiree heard him saying that this was his grand plan. Apparently he sort of gave the idea to the temple priest to spend the fundraising money on the new temple building and now he has got the temple people banned from the readings and also will be suing them and taking legal action to stop the new temple building because he has alleged that it is being built with illegal donations. He said that even if he loses all the lawsuits, he will be able to say that the temple is built with stolen money and is a fraud. We were happy that hijab lady was not here because she would have felt really bad because it looks like a very good plan.

ReplyDeleteWe read your blog at the Smile Garden today. Mrs. Lucy brought Christmas cake so everyone can partake in the festivities but after listening to your blog, she only wished everyone happy holidays. The Smile Army had a Christmas tree decorated in the Smile Garden but after listening to your blog, they dumped it. Prof George tried to explain to them that you are not saying dont celebrate Christmas but they were not listening. The Dean then said "guys" and immediately there was pin drop silence as the Dean command tremendous respects here. One of the new professor said to the Dean that you command a lot of respect, to which the Dean responded that Smile commands 99% more respect than any of us here. He then said that it is sad that she has to walk in the snow and fend off the snow with her maroon umbrella. We then went to play darts

I read this blog on my return flight from an overseas meeting with our team in Asia. The blog is right on in ensuring that all corners of the world are respected and acknowledged. I think you are doing a great job in educating the readers and creating a festive spirit which is global and inclusive of everyone. Not many authors would have taken this risk as other authors would have probably taken a safer more traditional approach.
