Good company matters a lot
It is Monday very cold morning with 25 C below zero with gust 53 km.
Snow everywhere, still more to come any time soon. This is Canada
my Dear. What else you can expect.
On Saturday, we had "Great Friends Day" at our library. City does it every
year. They invite Teens and community people to come and play with us.
Not many were there from our club.
One of my friend called to pick me up. We have to sign up for that event,
I was already on the list. In the library, I arranged Dart board to play with
some teens and youth from school and other institutions.
They were playing for the first time, they learned how to play, we enjoyed.
There were many games, like card games, table tennis, putting, trivia,
painting.There was also coffee/tea sandwiches and deserts, so much to enjoy.
There was photographer too so me and my friend had our picture done.
We always do that every time. My friend doesn't have computer so I will
give her the print out of the photo.
I think nothing matters at all, only good company matters. That is
everything. As we grow older this is our wealth, which keeps on adding up.
We have to value our friends and try to keep connected.
It is 9.30, I am working in my office cubicle, at 10, will go to the next room
to play darts. Today I am working part time, no bowling today. Slurpee Boy,
I mean my youngest one, having his exams. He will be home early.
I will enjoy my time with him.
I request all of you my friends, please don't target my Son. I feel sad
whenever I read your comments about him. He takes me to library every
time. He is working and I don't like to put him under extra pressure
because of his Mom.
Dear Retirees, I strongly believe in God but I don't want to discuss Religion.
This is very personal.We have to be tolerant and have to respect everyone's
opinion and emotions.
Dear Friends in Ireland, this is very tricky situation, I am talking about
your elections. I think you people have to be patient. Talk to Priest and the
other candidate. Try to solve the issue. Remember be very patient and listen
to each other. Patience is virtue.
Dear Kris, I have no hope with Father. I just keep on praying for my Friend
Niklas. I always worry for him. You can not take stand for Hannah and
Niklas. Father does whatever he wants.

ReplyDeleteI have posted the blog in Smile Corner. There are lots of customers coming even on Tuesday. All customers were amazed that an author of your caliber and stature wrote for our small town. The councillor said that he is as big hearted as you. The opposing councillor does not come here. She goes to the church and has her meetings there. The priest was here but said that it does not matter what outsiders say, its upto the town to determine who to elect. Many customers did not like this comment as we think that you are one of us, even though you are British.

Dear Madam Smile, you so good. You write good to. I go Happy Worker and say her how you. She say ok. I say but you no come to talk me now. She say I busy. I say but remember my Madam say good company important. She say and you Madam right but if I come talk to you you say rude thing to me. I say you mean it rude when I say my Madam go out in 25 below zero? She say no. I say you mean it rude when Madam son no take her to library and he sit home and Madam need call friend? She say yes that very rude but I no want talk because she no want us to say bad about him. I say then why you say I talk rude? She say when you make personal comment that rude. I say I no make comment, like I no call you fat worker even though you fat. I no call you fat worker because my Madam say I should call happy worker. I think she get alergy and go fast. ReplyDeleteThe retirees did not go for a walk today as it is too cold for the retirees. The retirees went straight to the reading of the blog.
The retirees were simply blown away when we read your blog. The retired professional skier and the retired professional zamboni driver led the reading of the blog today. They said that they spent all their time in the cold yet they cant believe that you chose to go out in 25 below zero. The Smile with Smile program committee then submitted a resolution to thank you for your leadership by example. They said that by sponsoring programs such as "Great Friends Day" you are not just talking about how best to teach young kids but are showing everyone the way. Many retirees wanted to talk about the fact that you had to go on your own even though it was Saturday but because you said that we should not talk about him, therefore we did not. Though some retirees pointed out that you are so amazing that you are still not saying bad things about him.
The retired priest came today and wanted to say something to the retired atheist but we did not want to have another discussion so retirees started leaving

ReplyDeleteWe read your blog at the SRC today. The Dean invited the faculty of Sociology to the reading today. The senior Sociology professors were simply blown away as they listened to the blog. They wanted to comment as the reading was going on but when they saw that the Dean is listening with eyes closed, heads bowed down and standing up, they simply stayed quiet. After the reading, they said that your blog is like a reference manual for the faculty of Sociology because you talk about the human touch, about the seniors, about kids, the weather factor and several other things. The Dean simply smiled but didnt say anything. Prof George said that Smile's blogs are always with many messages. The Smile Army heard that but this time they did not react aggressively as the Dean was there and everyone has a lot of respect for him
