It is Wednesday 16th August We have to Leave
Hotel Econo -- which was in the Suburb of Quebec City
Our Next Stop was One and Half Hour towards
Quebec City
It was the Core of Quebec City -- Looking Like City of
Lakes and Flowers --- It is a Typical European City
Representing Mainly French Culture
With Beautiful Small Houses
Most of the Roof Tops were Painted in
Bright Red -- Green --- Blue --- Yellow also in
Reddish Brown Brick Colors with Matching
Windows Giving Great IKEA Style Look
Parking was Hard to Find -- It Reminded Me of Italy
and London City Main Residential areas
Where Roads Very Narrow and Cars Parked on
Both Sides We were Lucky to Park for $20 for the Day
It was 11.30 am We were Walking around
" The Plains of Abraham " the Great Hotel
" Shato Frontinac " The Magnificent Cathedral
-- These are Real Icons for Tourists
I was Feeling Great Sitting Down inside the Cathedral
To Have a Feel also went inside the Majestic Hotel
Where Everything was Looking Gold Plated
Right across was the " Igloo Hotel " But it was closed
We were Not able to Visit may be it was August so was
Not the Season
There was Wall of Quebec which Reminded Me The Wall of
City of York --- I visited Last Year while
Visiting England
Sea Front was Giving Beautiful View of Glittering
Water --- There was Festive atmosphere
All Around
We had Lunch in the Main City Centre
At " Pillard " it was Great Fully packed with Customers
City of Quebec Done in Couple of Hours at 4 pm
We Started for Our Cottage -- Two Hours away
from the Old City of Quebec
I have posted the blog in Smile Corner. Customers are enjoying the blog. They are also getting banana smoothie. The priest is here today. There were very few people who came to the sermon on Sunday and he is feeling a bit low since then

Dear Madam Smile, You so good. You write good to. You go so many place. Like last year you go England and this year you go different place. I go sick job worker and say him that if you read my Madam blog you will feel that you are going with her to new places because she write very good. He say that is probably true but why you tell me this. I say him that I tell you because you get sick so no able go places so you read Madam blog and it will look like you go these places. He say I only get sick one day then why you keep think that I sick. I say I try help. I think he head pain and go quick to get medicine. I do 2 proud job and always read blog

ReplyDeleteThe retirees did not go for our long walk today. We are still very tired from the walk from yesterday. Some of the retirees are still suffering from cramps also. This walk, though very long for us, is nothing compared to the walks that you have. The retirees instead went straight to the reading of your blog.
The retirees enjoyed your blog today. The retired travel agent read the blog. It was the first opportunity she had so she was very excited. She has travelled to a lot of places and also went to Quebec city in Canada as part of her responsibilities. She said that the cafe that you mentioned is one of the famous ones there that she heard from her previous clients. She said that she wanted to go there herself but could not as it was not on the bus route that she was on. She mentioned that it probably was on your bus route. When we asked her to clarify she mentioned that as the city is very hilly, all the seniors take the tour bus for sight seeing. When we told her that you could have walked there she laughed and said that because the city is very hilly so it would not have been possible even for you. She clarified that even when she was younger she was not able to cope with the big hills but marvelled at the young visitors who were walking around to get the feel of the old streets in the city.
The retired nutritionist and the retired dietician shared the feedback that they got from the hospital which was running the pilot project for your smoothie recipes. Both the smoothies, ie the yogurt smoothie and banana smoothie are very popular with dieticians as the patients love it and at the same time is full of nutrition. The hospitals are introducing them as part of their regular meal plan after the success of the pilot

ReplyDeleteThe students wanted to read your blog at the Smile Garden today but the Smile Army told us all that we must read at the SRC. They take your comments literally. They clarified to us that we are all welcome at the Smile Garden but since you want us to go to the SRC, they are "helping" us to do that. The Dean also wanted us to go there and had personally arranged a cake for us. As we were going through your blog, we realized that how much we like this place. It was our home for many months as we worked on the Smile Encyclopedia and stayed here during nights too.
The Law department was in attendance during the reading and they simply loved it. One of the Law professor said that he now understands why your blogs are so popular.
We all appreciated the travel pictures that you painted with your words. It was like we are going with you and looking at Quebec city through your eyes. Our literature professor quipped, that we are seeing Quebec through your pen (and not just your eyes) and this is what good literature is supposed to be. We hope one day we ca write half as good as you.

Father say that you yell father lot today. Father say he yes mind. Father say father also help Niklas and try make him strong but Niklas baby and cry all time. Father say he will try long time. Father say he get Niklas bier and smoke so he grow but Niklas only drink milk like baby. Father say it good you go far city. Father say he yell Kris (me) that he no take father to far city like you Kris. Father say he yell Hannah because she no make lot spice bread and no make fresh banana smoothie morning and no give fresh food rabit. Father say he say he old almost 67
