 It is 40 Minutes away --- Good Opportunity
For Me to Get out --- I went with Him
Back Home at 1 pm 

 Give Lunch to My Son and Grandson
It is Last Week for My Eldest -- Who will be
Moving to London for Western University

 He has to Wind up His Shopping List
Going to Scarborough Centre at 2 pm
I asked Him to Drop Me at Tim Horton

To Have Time alone -- To write My Blog
After That will Enjoy My Walk to Home

I am sitting at Coffee House Having My Small
Coffee with 2 Parts water

 Thinking about My Dear Retiree Friends
Nothing Wrong with Their Grand Kids Not Going
With Them to The Hotels 

 This is Too Much Expectations from Them
We have to Keep in Mind Before Asking
Anything From Anyone

 I Never Have Dinner or Lunch with any of
My Grandson --  I Never Ask That --- I Go with
Whole Family -- Make sure to Let Them Sit Together

My Youngest Comes with Me --- He always Biking
I Go Walking and ask Him to Meet Me at Coffee House
He Spends just some Time with Me -- Takes His Treats
From My Pocket and Go Home

 Be Realistic -- Why will He Prefer to Enjoy with Me
Rather than enjoying with People of His age Group
It is But Natural

At Cottage all Three were in My Room as I was Busy
Doing My Own Things and They were Enjoying
Each Other Company

We Have to Realize We can Not Relate to Them
To What They Talk --- We Live in an Era of
More Than Half A Century Back and Strongly
Believe Things should Be Like That 

 We Don't Want to Accept Change -- We Draw Curtains
Live in Our Past --- While Kids are in the Process of
Renovating The World 

They are Thinking Beyond Our Imagination
They Don't Want to Open up as They are Thinking
and also Dreaming So Much going on in Their Mind
Not Easy to Communicate Their Action Plans

 We Don't Let Them To Open Up -- Let Them Talk
We Love To Dictate Our Charter -- Our Communique
Our Doctrine of  " How To Lead A Successful Life "

 We Demand Just Close Your Eyes and Focus 
Your Brain --- Listen To My Golden Recipe
Our Fool Proof System To Lead A Perfect Life
Just Do It -- No Argument Please -- End of Story

They Know They Have No Choice -- They already
Tired of Our Non Ending Series Of Lecture Sessions
They Hold Their Thoughts  ---- We Believe that
We won This Tug of War --- We Changed Their Mind
We are in Command ----- Wrong

I Believe -- No One can Overpower Minds Forcefully
We Have To Realize We are Generations Apart

      I hosted the Toastmasters meeting today as Kim was not available. Today's toastmasters meeting had an open agenda ie people can discuss any topic that they want but the only topic that was discussed was Smile blog. People wanted to talk about her positive attitude, her kindness to her readers, her love for active living and nature

    Dear Madam Smile, You so good. You write good to. I go job worker with video kid. I think she important work to do because she start walk away but I run and I say her. Where you go. She say I very busy. I say I know because you start go away all time when I come. She say I no time for blog. I say I no want talk blog. I want to say you when kid come o you ask what he did? She say yes because he come from day care and I need ask. I say that rong. She say what you mean. I say you live in past but video kid live future. He renovate world. She say what you talk because he little kid. I say my Madam no talk to grandbabies, just give them food from her pocket but no talk. I think she head pain. I do 2 proud job and always read blog

    Dear Advisor,

    The retirees went for our long walk today. This walk, though very long for us, is nothing compared to the walks that you have. We had our lollipop after that

    The retirees appreciated your blog today. It provided a perspective to many of our issues and challenges that we are having with our grand kids. In our case we try to engage them and talk to them, whereas you just give them their meal. In our case they dont even want to be in the same room as us. They prefer to be with their imaginary, fictional video games. Some of the retirees are very frustrated with that because the games are not reality. They need to talk to us and not talk to the characters in their games. We are wondering if you can please write some advice for that

    Also, some of the retirees living in joint family living situations are having issues with their in-law kids. We feel that our children in-law (ie daughter in law or son in law) dont respect us. They consider us as a side piece. In some extreme cases, they are very rude to us also. Some of us push back, which unfortunately gives the impression that we are creating the scene and in other instances, some of us just "absorb" this. We are wondering if you can write something for that too

    The retired chef was very pleased with the recipe. He already contacted all the 5 star properties and have forwarded the recipe to them. The hospital staff is not sure if they can give this to their patients due to budgetary constraints, as fish are very expensive here. The cafe manager is planning to offer this in the Smile Presents menu. This menu is a new form he has devised. Each guest gets the copy of today's blog as a gesture of goodwill The plan is working very well and there are repeat customers who come to read hte blog. We know this for a fact because of the surveys that we have done with these repeat customers

    Dear Author,

    We read your blog at the Smile Garden today. When we went for the reading of the blog, we noticed that there was no cake. Smile Army usually serves the cake. One of the commentators also noticed that some of the Smile Army volunteers are laughing at us. We almost had a fight when the Dean intervened. He asked us tor read the blog and highlighted the message of being a family and forgive and forget. The commentators were upset because this is not in the past, but is going on right now. The Smile army said that we dont include them in any decisions about who gets invited to the readings. When we clarified that it is not up to us and the Dean is the one invites them, they didnt believe us. One of our commentators accidentally said that even if we invite you, you will not be able to understand anyways. This caused the situation to get worse and the Dean called in the police as a precautionary measures. The police came in their uniform as they were concerned that the striation can escalate

    Father say you dont yell father today. Father say you probably take brake. Father say he joke, please no mind. Father say father theory different. Father say it important to set very high expect with kid. Father say when father tell Niklas he need go with grandpapa then Niklas must go. Father say if he no go then father yell him but father smart and he no say yell him him. Father say he want talk him and teach Niklas and then father talk 2 hour and more. Father say this way Niklas need no. If Niklas no no then he no respect father. Father say father tell you as friend so you do talk with you Niklas and he pay you meal from his pocket and then sit you and ear with you . Father say you no need thank because father tell you friend. Father say he no say he old almost 67

  January 12th 2024 It is around mid of January. Time for us to, start getting snow storms. This will be off an on, for the next couple of weeks. It is 10.15, mixed sunny cloudy morning, windy too. Gusts are 38 to 48 km.  Friday used to be my work day, not today. Kids day camp is going on in the library, at my work place. I am off for the whole week. I have to find my own things to do, to get busy. From Monday, things will be back on track. I will be having my regular work hours. It is 11.45, I am getting ready to walk to Tim Hortons. I take it as my second home. I know that it is cold and windy. I am all set with gloves, stole and three layers underneath my winter coat. I will be fine. Whites Road and walkway is, all clear of snow. I see some white patches of snow, by the side of road, under trees and bushes. This is the beauty of Toronto, snow cleared right away.   July 7th 2023 It is hot sunny morning, 9.15 and already 24 C, feel like 26. I woke up early, done with my breakfast. Talked to one of my daughters, my middle one, called me from Grimsby.  She was going home, done with her work. It was a brief talk. She was busy, picking up her son, on the way from school. My other daughters are still at work. They will call me later on. We talk everyday, not much, just to connect.  I am busy with my computer. No message from my childhood friend. She never skips, must be busy. She was at her son's place in Sydney, was planning to go back to Perth, to be with her daughter. She must be stuck, other matters to be resolved. Anyway we have to find our own, "Things to do", to get busy, to make our day. Don't have to wait for people's calls and messages. I am busy playing Scrabble and Card games on my computer.   June 13th 2023 Beautiful morning. Great weather. It was raining all day, yesterday. Stopped at late night. I was working, Mondays are my work days. Have to go to play Darts. It starts at 9.30 in mornings. We were thirteen all together. Picked our numbers to make teams. Two boards with four teams. Three players in each. One team was odd, I mean with four. Anyway we enjoyed. Thirteen seniors on a rainy day, out to play, to enjoy time together. Amazing at that age. Gives inner peace. Boosts will power with affirmation that we still can do it. Rain or no rain, nothing can stop, to make our day. I think, will is everything behind your motto. When there is a will, there is always a way to go ahead, to move on, to do what you want. Today is Tuesday, weather is great 18 C, a bit on a cooler side. I am off, not working on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Last week I booked my flight to England. My daughters were pushing me for that.
