Thought Of The Day

18th August -- It is 12.15, I am sitting on seat # 32 H with my seat belt on. It is Air Canada flight # 825, time to fly to Toronto and to say Good Bye to  England and t o all the beautiful moments, I spent with my daughters, in  Rochester, Grimsby and in Reading. I checked in my suitcase. My  computer is packed  in my carry on trolley .  I also have  to carry my  baggage of  memories with me . It is too  precious  to  pack in the  luggage.  I have to  put that at  somewhere safe  enough.  I think my  Memory Box  will be  fine for that.  My youngest daughter  and her husband,  were at Heathrow Airport, to see me off. It is seven plus hours flight. I will be home at around 4 pm  Toronto  time.  In England it will be 9 pm. Door to door will be fourteen  hours.  I enjoyed my  trip to my Daughters land. 13th August -- I am packing my stuff to go to Reading to my youngest  daughter's place. It is around 2 hours drive.  She came to Rochester to  pick me up.  It is  6.30 pm I am sitting in my daughter's back garden,  enjoying  my evening  cup of tea. On my left is the scenic spot with unique collection of variety of flower pots.  I can see the bottle green ceramic pair of boots with white flowers. The  black  wire cat with Thyme. The colorful wooden doll with beautiful  metallic flower  in between the all green. The two bottle green wire chairs are there to have seat. August 8th -- I am at Rochester at my other daughter's place. Grimsby  is  now history. I am done with visiting two of my childhood friends and  my  younger sister. Now I have to focus on the rest of my trip in  England. I was at Rochester last month too, from 15th to 30th June. My  daughter  was working at that time. Her school holidays started by the end of July. I used  to roam  at  the High Street,  to pass my time. I  made  couple of  new  friends.  One is Elizabeth.  She runs  "Six Travelers" museum and charity programs.  Today I went to Rochester  High Street to say  Good Bye to her. We  exchanged Email addresses. I also got special money box from the Charles Dickens museum, for my  youngest  one, the Slurpee Boy. I have to carry only one suitcase but this  can fit in  somewhere. One of my friend is my daughter's friend...

July 1st -- very busy days for me, going with my daughter to drop her  son  to work at 8.30 picking him up at 1 pm, in between going for groceries also to Freshney Mall for some last minute shopping. Time is running out. July 2nd is my departure date from Grimsby. Having lunch and dinner invitations from my daughter's rest of friends. Getting gifts too from them but in very relationship there is always give and take. Nothing works one sided. I never forget to take gifts for them like chocolates, flowers, anything as good will gesture. Big cities  have  glitter.  Small towns don't have much  distances so people have enough  time to  socialize. There is always  something plus in everything. July 2nd, it is D day today for me. July 22, it is very hot morning 30 C. My routine is the same. My day starts with my morning walk in my daughter's back garden.  I am happy to see the Roses and my friends the White Butterfly and  the Black Squirrel. Pink Roses looking beautiful. Black Squirrels playing around the  Palm  tree.  White Daisies and Red Fuchsia are smiling, so amazing. It is 8.30,  time  to drop kids to school and work.  Spending time with grand kids is very special for we grand parents. They will fly away. After a while it will be an Empty Nest. July 18, 16 C cloudy morning. Last night, it was not a good night sleep for me. I started thinking that my youngest daughter will leave on  Saturday the 20th. It distracted my sleep. Anyway, in the morning I chalked out plans to utilize the maximum out of the time left. I made plans to go to Freshney Mall, to buy her any  gift  of her choice.  In the afternoon, I walked to People's Park, with my daughter to enjoy  our time  together. There is a small pond in the park. Next to the pond is  Beautiful Rose  garden. It is Saturday 13th July cloudy morning 16 C, yesterday my daughter  invited couple of families to celebrate her husband's birthday.   She managed  to cook meat curry, fried rice and chicken broast. She got  Pizza, fries and  cake,  from outside.  I gave him shirt from Marks Spencer. It costed twenty five pounds. Others  gave  him  flowers, muffler, perfume  and tie.  We had pictures, everyone  had great  time. When we have parties, company comes first, menu comes after. We have  to  make sure that atmosphere has to be enjoyable for everyone. People at  home, also  not too tired to give company to guests.  It is 9.15, I am in the kitchen, making my breakfast, will go to the back  garden to walk around, to enjoy the Pink and Red Roses, the beautiful  Daisies  and Hydrangea. Saturday July 6th, mixed sunny, cloudy morning with 19 C.  I have to go  to a Birthday party at my daughter's friend place at 3 pm.  It was good,  I enjoyed. I gave pearl bracelet to the girl and silk Stole to  her Mom.  We have to take anything as a gift when we visit someone place. Sunday July 7th, 15 C, today we have to go to a BBQ Birthday party  at  2 pm.  He is a boy, I will give cash to him. I t is a small community.  Everyone  knows me  as I come here every year.  It is 8 am, everyone sleeping. I am making my breakfast, oatmeal porridge, stir fried egg and half cup of tea. It is 12.15 Friday 28th June, sunny 21 C, windy with gusts. My daughter  is working, she comes back at 4 pm, in weekdays. I have to schedule to  spend my own time.  Today I will go to Rochester Castle, it's history  goes  back  to year  1080,  has big towers and looks like fortress.  I walked around the Castle but didn't go through the whole area. It was too  much  walk.  Cathedral is located at the base of the Castle. It is 1.20, now I am  sitting  in  the Herb garden of "The Six Travelers House" museum. It is one of my favorite spots in Rochester. I am sitting on the steel grey  chair,  writing my Blog, enjoying the atmosphere, the beautiful Roses  around.  It is 2 pm, I am going to my next favorite spot, "Francis Gallery", the Art museum. It is Saturday, 22nd June -- Bright beautiful sunny morning with 19 C.  This is weekend so my daughter  is home, she made special omelette with  onion and tomatoes.  I had  my first breakfast together here in England.  My daughter moved from Croydon two months back, still in her settling  period.  When you are working, not enough time to organize.  It  will  take  a  while to streamline things in order.  She is busy downstairs, I am with my best friend, my computer. My  youngest  daughter coming today from Reading. She is working  so only  weekend works  for her. Reading is around two hours away  from Rochester. Two of my daughters will be with me on dining table. Amazing. It is 17th of June bright beautiful morning with 20 C. Right now I am in Rochester, England, but no change, weather looks the  same as it was in  Toronto two days back on 15th, when I started my  journey 11.50 at night. It was a long flight, seven plus hours. My daughter was at Heathrow  Airport to pick me up. She lives in Rochester, two hours drive from  Heathrow but in London, two hours can take hours, depending on traffic.  We started from airport around 1 pm and reached home at 5 pm. From door to door, starting from my place at Pickering to my daughter's  place, took me fifteen hours travel time. Nearly same time on road as of my air travel time. Anyway, now I am here. We had dinner together. My daughter made couple of my favorite dishes.  I stayed at home as it was already evening.  With dinner and shower, my day was nearly done still I got time to sort my  suitcase to find things to give to my daught...

Tomorrow is my flight Need Prayers Thanks It is Tuesday bright beautiful morning with 18 C. I am not working  today. No Darts, no Carpet Bowling. I usually go for walk and make calls when I am off but today I have to go to doctor's office for my Vitamin D injection.  I know it will take hours so I am all prepared with my Crosswords and  Sudoku books and will write my Blog, to pass my time. I am all set to wait  for hours.  We have to make things relaxing to cut down our pressure. When things are beyond our control, we have to focus on, how to get relaxed I will be busy with my own things, I wont feel the waiting time pressure. Keep in mind, nothing is end of the world.  Life is a gift from God for we  Humans. Enjoy your moments and spread  happiness around. It is Sunday bright beautiful morning with 20 C. After long time, I don't need any jacket. It is 9.40, I am done with my breakfast, my woolen jacket is in the washer. I will take it with me on my trip. Weather in England is very unpredictable. I still remember I had to use my coat and gloves even in summer time. It changes so quickly over there, I keep that in mind and have to be prepared for anything. My Daughters calling me, "Mom you don't have to worry, you can use mine." but it is better to take our own things, that we are used to. To  keep  track of weight, I will  pack my light dresses, I  wont be overweight. I will be fine. Now have to do just one more load of laundry, for my bed sheets and couple of dresses , which I will use during the week.  We have to consider  the timings and hours  to save energy so w eekdays will not be good. I will do that on   Saturday morning. My  flight is at night....

I will do packing and last minute sorting  of my things , next week, one week before my  flight. This week   my routine is the same as regular. It is Saturday bright beautiful sunny morning with 18 C. Next Saturday I will be getting ready to go to Pearson Airport for Air Canada flight to London Heathrow. Days passing so quickly, same is life. We can not get  hold of that, so go with the flow.  Today I have a very busy schedule.  I have to do two loads of laundry, and  have to go to my doctor for vitamin D injection, for my osteoporosis. This is weekend so will spend some time in TV lounge, to be with my son, to have  my TV time and to enjoy the scenic view  of my back garden. Before having breakfast  I put my laundry in the washer,  so  I will  be fine  with that. It is 10.30, I am done with my laundry and with my  TV  time.  Now getting ready to go to lake with my son. He will drop me  at  Tim  Horton,  on the way back. I will walk home from there. It is 10.45, I am at the Pharmacy to pick up my Refill me...
