Count Down Started
July 22, it is very hot morning 30 C. My routine is the same.
My day starts with my morning walk in my daughter's back garden.
I am happy to see the Roses and my friends the White Butterfly and
the Black Squirrel.
Pink Roses looking beautiful. Black Squirrels playing around the Palm
tree. White Daisies and Red Fuchsia are smiling, so amazing. It is 8.30,
time to drop kids to school and work.
Spending time with grand kids is very special for we grand parents.
They will fly away. After a while it will be an Empty Nest. We have to
value the moments in hand. Present moment is everything.
July 23rd, hot sunny morning 31 C. Schools are now closed but my
grandson has to go to work so I will go with my daughter, to drop him
at 8.45 after that we will go to Freshney Mall.
My daughter wants me to get some tops from Marks and Spencer.
She knows, I like that store. I got two tops, one printed red, blue and white.
The other one is, yellow and white striped. It was on sale, cost me thirty
pounds total.
July 24th, very hot day 29 C. My daughter called couple of families to go
to Cleethorpe Beach. Everyone will bring some snacks to enjoy together,
to have good time. It was great. Company is everything, it matters a lot.
July 25th, very hot nowadays. Today is record breaking 38 C. I went to
drop my grandson to work with my daughter from there to get groceries
also to meat shop. In the evening we watched TV together for a while.
I am not a TV person but enjoying my time with my daughter.
July 26th still hot 29 C, better than yesterday. Chances of rain in the
forecast. Let us see. We have to go to Freshney. It is the only Mall here
in Grimsby. My daughter has to buy school uniform for her son.
11.30 morning, my daughter taking her youngest one for his hair cut.
I will go with her. It is good to get busy, keeps you away from thinking
negative. It is 7.30 evening, I am watering plants in the back garden.
It was raining for a while in the afternoon so now weather is great.
I am enjoying the atmosphere around. Pink Roses, the White Daisies and
Red Fuchsia, all looking so beautiful. Red Roses giving me smile. Black
Squirrel playing around the Palm tree. I had new friendship here in
Grimsby, two light Grey Pigeons.
Rain drops giving glitter like pearls on the velvety leaves. My new
friends, the two Pigeons saying Hi to me from neighbor's roof top.
White Butterfly talking to Red Roses but winking at me too.
These are my last couple of days in Grimsby. Count down already
started. I am leaving on Friday the 2nd of Aug. to Rochester to my other
daughter's place. Not enough time left.
My flight is on 18th for Toronto. So much still to be done.
I have to see my sister, my cousin, my Nephew, also have to go to
my youngest daughter's place.
My last week will be in Reading at my youngest daughter's place.
Her daughter is married. She wants me to visit her place too. It will be
unique experience for me to visit any of my grand kid's house. Definitely
Golden Moments to be locked in my Memory Box.
Dear Retirees I am not happy with the attitude of my friend the Retired
Priest. He has to mind his own business and leave everyone alone.
What we eat, what we practice is everyone's personal matter. Please
keep Blog Reading Sessions out of Religious talks. I admire my friend
the Cafe Manager for being so patient.
Kris Dear, no use of writing anything for Father. He is the same, having
parties every day and making everyone's life miserable. I will keep on
praying for my Friends Hannah and Niklas.
Dear Smile Army Friends, we don't have to push others to eat the dishes
we like to have. Everyone has his own choice. Please leave everyone alone.
I hope you understand.
Dear Reader doing 2 Jobs, you don't have to do overtime. Wicked Worker
is tricking you. Relationship doesn't work like that. Be careful and focus
on your own work. Don't do her work.
Dear Dave and Linda, you people were busy, hosting International
Exhibitions, still managed to go through my Blogs. Thanks for your
comments. Each and every comment from my Readers Family, is like
a booster, makes me to write my Blogs.
+1
ReplyDeleteI have posted the blog in Smile Corner. This is market day but customers are coming to my shop in waves. They come here to read the blog first before going to the market. We have lots of people from out of town who come to read blog and then do shopping. They are talking about Smile's blog. Priest is here too and he brought veggie omelette. He is making some notes and asking people to say Morning Smile if they want the veggie omelette. The ex-councillor again brought snacks. He brought beef patties with chick peas based on your recipe and was giving away for free. Because of the priest and the ex-Councillor, no one is buying from me. At this rate, I may go out of business. I know you are busy but can you suggest something

ReplyDeleteDear Advisor,
ReplyDeleteWe read your blog with a lot of surprise and a lot of awe. We could not believe that you chose to engage in physical activity in scorching 38 C. When you go for your long walks in the freezing Canadian winter but we thought that you are used to the cold weather because of your English upbringing but this was a big surprise to us. We retirees never go if the weather is below 15 C and higher than 25 C or if it rains. The retired physical athlete however does go if the weather is a little rainy. The retired environmentalist who spent some time in the freezing arctic for research in their active years, and the retired climatologist who spent time near the Equator for research both said that even they dont venture out if its too cold or too hot, I mean below 15 C or higher than 25C as they are now retired and cant handle it. We know you have said that you dont take any supplements, but many retirees are wondering if there is some secret recipe or ingredient that you use. If you are ok to share the details it will be highly appreciative by the retirees
The retirees were very pleased that your daughter is taking good care of you. We also thought that this is probably because she knows that once you return back your son will not be taking care of you, in fact will be harassing you. Some retirees were of the view that you should wear the tops before you leave as we are concerned that he may try to make you return them to pocket the money. However the retired traveller mentioned that there are no Marks and Spencer stores in Canada so the risk is low.
The cafe manager was being congratulated by the retirees for the honour that you bestowed upon him by appreciating his actions. He was also asked to give a speech as this is a special occasion. He simply said that it is amazing that an author of your stature is appreciating his small actions. He thanked you profusely for your kind words
The retired priest was a little down. The hijab lady and the temple people were very happy with what you wrote. They chanted Ella Homa for you. When we asked them to explain they said that they do that to express happiness. They also shouted Yaa Elli when the blog reading was going on. The cafe manager asked them to restrain themselves because it was disturbing the other guests but they said that they are customers too as they brought carrot dessert. Some retirees simply smiled as they brought one coffee and asked for 3 cups so they can share
The Smile with Smile subcommittee is getting a lot of requests from the parents of teenage kids for help. In response, they are planning on having specialized material for teenage grooming and growth. They are going through various literature and interviewing retired as well as active sociologists, behaviour experts, nutritionists, law enforcement officers, educators and others. They said that they know that you are travelling and have a busy schedule but as you are an expert in this are, they are wondering if you can provide comments.
thank you

Dear Author,
ReplyDeleteWe read your blog at the Smile Garden today. Today's blog reading was very raucous. Dean was not here today. We are not sure as to where he is because he never misses a reading. We wanted to ask Prof George but both him and Mrs. Lucy were not there as well. When we tried to ask other professors, they either did not know or choose to not answer. We hope they are all ok
After the reading, many students came forward and expressed frustration with their parents. In some cases, students are choosing to go to their dorms in the uni before the classes have started so as to avoid staying at home. Their parents have been bugging them a lot. Also, some students were saying that they work part time in the holidays but they are asked to pack their own snacks. They said that parents dont realize that they are working 4-5 hours a day and dont have time for this. In one case, the student pointed out that she got the breakfast late so she had to leave mid way through her breakfast to avoid getting late. She said that parents need to understand that we come home to rest. We work a lot and go through a lot of stress when we are at school. If they keep bugging us, giving us lectures, asking us when we will return, packing our snacks etc. We know that the lucky guy and Master Golden are probably not worrying about any of this stuff, but for the rest of us, its a big issue.
We were discussing these items when one of the students reminded us that we are discussing random issues and should talk about the lessons from the blog just like the Dean makes us do after each reading. We agreed and started talking about it. One of the student noticed that your daughter is taking very good care of you unlike your son. Another observed that you are enjoying every minute. This is when trouble started because one of the student said that you are a juicer. The smile army idiots got upset. They thought that he is making fun of you. The student clarified that there is no way he can even think of saying anything bad about you. He said that he meant that you are juicing every second and meant it in a positive way. The Smile Army idiots said that he should take it back and apologize and not come to the reading for the entire next week. One of the police officer who was here in his regular clothes like the other ones said that why dont we ask you. The student agreed and said that whatever you say, he will do it. Of course the idiots listen to you so they agreed also. Its a good thing that the police officers were here . They come to these readings most of the time. Of course they all come in regular clothes.
Though Mrs. Lucy was not here, she still sent carrot dessert. We had that and then played dart
thank you
Literature Fellow
We had company today and as is typical, we entertained our guests by a few excerpts of your piquant writing. As we were expecting, they were engrossed by the mesmerizing scenery that you present and wowed by the physical endurance in the oppressing heat.
ReplyDeleteOur esteemed guests noticed that you had words of guidance for your readership. They thought this is a one off but they were astounded when we informed them that despite being on a sojourn, you have been dispensing your prudent prescriptions to your global readership in particular to the Kris clan, the retired ladies and gentlemen as well as the young scholars.
Suffice to say that as the evening progressed, they realized that we have not gone batty in praising your unearthly aptitude, generosity and transcendence
As we bid them a pleasant evening, we have a feeling that there may have been an addition to your extensive and growing network of fans
PS: We are humbled that you acknowledged our trifling annotation last week
Thank you for making our days brighter

I was working for some office deployment this weekend and wanted to let you know that the blog readings in our office corporate office is continuing on. The blogs are being posted in all the lobbies ie A, B, C and D. In addition they are also posted in the meeting rooms. Also both Smile Walks ie SWS and SWN are continuing.
ReplyDeleteCleo
Actually its the same in our office too. We still have the competition to post the blog on the notice board and Smile Addict still brings donuts. We tried to give him some money but he refused saying that this is between him and Smile.
DeleteBTW, one thing which is different is that Brenda usually wins the race to post the blog . She used to lose all the time previously
thank you
Jasmeet
Your blogs are continuing to be a life saver for many of our corporate meetings. We use it as a conversation starters as they are usually very brief yet full of interesting points.

tree. White Daisies and Red Fuchsia are smiling, so amazing. It is 8.30,
time to drop kids to school and work."
Other say she is an author because she can write this:
