Life is a Buffet with Sweet and Sour
It is Saturday bright beautiful sunny morning with 18 C. Next Saturday
I will be getting ready to go to Pearson Airport for Air Canada flight
to London Heathrow. Days passing so quickly, same is life. We can not get
hold of that, so go with the flow.
Today I have a very busy schedule. I have to do two loads of laundry, and
have to go to my doctor for vitamin D injection, for my osteoporosis. This is
weekend so will spend some time in TV lounge, to be with my son, to have
my TV time and to enjoy the scenic view of my back garden.
Before having breakfast I put my laundry in the washer, so I will be fine
with that. It is 10.30, I am done with my laundry and with my TV time.
Now getting ready to go to lake with my son. He will drop me at Tim
Horton, on the way back. I will walk home from there.
It is 10.45, I am at the Pharmacy to pick up my Refill medicines, for my
trip. Doctor is not in today, so my injection will be on hold for any
weekdays. We always have to be ready to make adjustments. Nothing
is end of the world.
It is 11.15, I am at Petticoat Creek. Water looking great with so many
shades, fromCharcoal at the far end, in between, Grey, Muddy, White and
Deep Blue. Water level is still high, parking lot is all under water.
We can not go beyond the pedestrian bridge. Such a beautiful view around.
Not many people here, some busy with fishing, some walking with their
dogs.
It is 12.10, I am at the Coffee House, having my small coffee with half hot
water, two cream, one sugar, writing my Blog, enjoying my time alone slot.
Life is great.
Today is my Husband's death anniversary. He died young with heart attack,
years back in 1976. Time flies. I think this is beauty of life. I am done
with my coffee and also with my Blog, now time to walk home.
I will stop at the convenience store across, to enjoy the beautiful flower
baskets, arranged outside. When I will be home, make my husband's
favorite dishes, to celebrate his special day.
He must be watching from upstairs. I will do that to make him happy.
Life is like a Buffet, we have to taste all sweet and sour from the menu.
is invited but we wont push our kids. They must be having their own plans.
We have to understand and have to be considerate. Nothing is a big deal.
Dear Retirees, all are welcome in Blog Reading Sessions. Please don't
say no to the Sports Psychologist. I am not happy with the Priest.
I don't know how to make him understand.
Ask him not to label me with any Religion, stop spying and messing up
with other people's Religion and lives. Leave the Temple People alone.
Enough is enough. Trust me everyone is safe. Ask him not to worry about
and mind his own business.
+1

ReplyDeleteDear Advisor,
ReplyDeleteWe had a special meeting today. We suspended all business including all committee affairs. We used the time to say a special prayer for your husband. The retired priest led the prayers but he himself asked the temple priest and hijab lady to also join in the prayers. He also requested that they offer the prayers in their own native Sikh tradition. On behalf of myself and my family also, please accept our sincere condolences
thank you

Dear Author,
ReplyDeleteWe read your blog at the SRC today. It was a special reading that we had. The Dean rarely expresses any emotions but appeared to be emotional today. So was Prof George. They both remained very quiet long after the reading was over Many professors who attended the reading then joined the crowd in a moment of silence. The Dean asked the Smile Army to lead this. Some of the Smile Army volunteers were very pleased that the Dean chose them for this honour but even the idiots knew that it is not time to celebrate. In the end, we ended the reading ceremony in a somber mood
thank you

ReplyDeleteToday's blog was an eye opener. Our Marketing VP was to sent out an email to all our global offices as part of our global out reach marketing campaign, however we suspended that to issue a bulletin showcasing your resiliency in the face of adversity. Thank you for motivating all of us with your courage. On a personal note, I will like to express my condolences as well

We are finding ourselves aphonic in offering words of solace. For what its worth, you have had an incredible journey which can be chronicled in any success literature. Over the course of time, you have delved in the mysteries of science, created art with your folksy pen, excelled as a councillor and above all, provided an idealistic archetype for many, including us, to look up to and strive to learn from.
ReplyDeletethank you for making our days brighter
